Time of Reading ..., Street, 10:50 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. L.I., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here [725], present in this room.

2. Now, as we find, while the body is very good in many respects - and the activities of the organs in their functionings are very good, there are those impulses, tendencies and reflections in the activities of the organs, precautions concerning which is the present would correct many of those conditions that disturb the body from time to time.

3. These tendencies, as we find, make for that slowing up, that lack of the condition that makes for a feeling of buoyancy and activity, the tendency for the pains here and there. Not as a neurotic condition, but rather where poisons and drosses from used energies in the system have - through lack of eliminations - made for repressions in various cycles of activity of being eliminated, and allowing the organs and the functionings of same to replenish in such measures and manners as to keep a normal equilibrium.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [725] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. The BLOOD SUPPLY is sufficient in quantity, but in the manner of distribution of the energies within same - in the hemoglobin, that makes for the abilities for creating in the activity of the organs the cleansing or the eliminations of poisons through the activities in the excretory system, it becomes rather heavy. Hence the metabolism of the system becomes involved. Not that it has made or does make for a heart's action that should be any distress, though these reactions at times make for shortening of the circulation, a filling of the lungs and the heart; thus caused some engorgements. But the causes of these, as we shall see, lie rather in other directions - and these are reflexes in the

725-1 Page 2

activities of the system, rather than the causes.

6. As to the NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find a contributory cause to the nerve disturbance as well as the nerve disturbance making for distresses in portions of the system at times. For when the taxations or pressures arise from the basic effect of the conditions in the system and make for the depressions in the lower portions of the body, we have heaviness through the lower limbs; so that standing on the feet or walking for any period - or climbing steps, or the like - makes for a general STRAIN upon the body, quickening the activity of the heart's action, making for dizziness at times in the various portions of the system - as a quivering sensation in pit of stomach, tendency for some dizziness to the head. These are reflex conditions and show where the circulatory system as related to the coordination between the lymph or the external circulation and the deep circulation do not coordinate.

7. As to the functioning of the ORGANS THEMSELVES:

8. Brain forces are very good.

9. The activities of the sensory system - considering the general conditions throughout the organs of the sympathetic system as related to the sensory system, as to the eyes, ears, feeling, touch, taste, all the organs of the senses - are very good; though at times we find that with these repressions or the slowing of the circulation, or the metabolism disturbances, there is a slowed circulation through the ears, head, neck, and we have accumulations of phlegm in throat, a tendency for drumming or noises for the ear, with a burning sensation in the eyelids rather than in the eyes themselves, and a general condition that makes for periods of repression, or a slowed circulation - as indicated.

10. Throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx, these are near normal so far as the ORGANIC condition is concerned. Slowed circulation at times makes for a fullness and a feeling of heaviness in the left side, especially just below the cardiac plexus or between the cardiac and secondary cardiac plexus - not just opposite the stomach but a little above.

11. The organs of the circulation, as indicated, become involved from repressions in the internal organs themselves. So, there is no organic disturbance; rather a reflex condition.

12. In the digestive system we find there are tendencies for periods when we have too great a quantity of acidity, too great a filling of the stomach itself - as gas formation or gas accumulations in the duodenum. And at periods we have a heaviness across the abdomen.

725-1 Page 3

13. In the colon area itself do we find the basis, or much of the cause of the disturbances for this body. We find in the transverse and descending colon an engorgement. Not a prolapsus in the caecum area, but rather an engorgement in the latter portion of the transverse and the descending. This makes for those conditions causing the poison accumulations, the heaviness to the other portions of the body, the tendencies for the disturbance in the metabolism. And if this is allowed to continue, we will find that we would have a prolapsus in the areas of the caecum and the other portion - or the upper portion of the transverse area.

14. As to the effect this condition produces upon the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, we have at times a burning sensation from the stomach itself; as from the regurgitation to those activities in the duodenum proper. And thus we have an accumulation there that makes for a heaviness in the middle portion, or in between the lacteal duct area and the umbilicii centers. Yet these make for a reflex condition in the slowing of the circulation, or a cold hepatic circulation. Thus at times we find an involving of the kidneys sympathetically, NOT organically.

15. Then, in meeting the needs of this body, as we find, [725] we are speaking of, present in this room:

16. First we would use the high enemas to relieve the areas where there are the tendencies for the accumulations, that would make for a relieving of the pressure; and then we would take a tonic that would combine with same the toning of the system as related to the functioning of the organs themselves with the circulation and with the cleansing of same, and with the tendencies for the better elimination through ALL the activities of the body; that is, through the alimentary canal, through the kidney area, through the respiratory system, and not throwing in or on the body those periods when we find cold, clammy conditions and at others the waking in the night with a sort of restless, prespiratory condition that is abnormal to the body itself.

17. The high enemas (rather colonic irrigations) would be preferably used three times in the first month, once in the next, twice in the next, and once in the next. This should be sufficient for the cleansing of the condition from the system.

18. The properties that would make for the proper stimulation would be in a compound prepared in this way and manner:

19. To 1 gallon of distilled water, or rain water, we would add: Wild Cherry Bark.................1 ounce,

725-1 Page 4

Sarsaparilla Root................1 ounce, Burdock Root...................1/2 ounce, Yellow Dock Root...............1/2 ounce, Wild Ginseng Root................1 ounce, Mandrake Root....................2 grains, Buchu Leaves...................1/2 dram, Elder Flower.....................2 ounces. Reduce this by slow boiling, preferably in an enamel container (not with a tin top, but we would have an enamel or glass top), to 1 quart. Strain and while warm add 2 ounces of grain alcohol with 1 dram Balsam of Tolu cut in same. Shake together before the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful 3 times each day, AFTER each meal. Or, as has been the custom at times, when the changes are for the meals, take the dosage twice a day after the meals and at bedtime.

20. And these conditions, as we find - the indigestion, the headaches and dullness over the body, the repressions throughout, will be removed.

21. Be consistent and be persistent with the treatments.

22. As to the matter of diet, keep a well-balance. But we would warn the body against these: No red meats. No white bread. Not too great a quantity of starch, though this should be a portion of the diet. Let at least seventy percent of the diet consist of alkalin-reacting foods at all times.

23. Ready for questions.

24. (Q) What causes the irritation on the left thumb, and what can be done about it? (A) The circulation in these portions of the system. And with these properties taken internally as we have indicated, with the removal of those conditions that make for the poisons, these conditions should disappear.

25. (Q) What can be done for the veins? (A) Remove those pressures, as we have given for the conditions in the system, and we will find this condition will be overcome. If these make for too great a strain, use elastic that would bind same to prevent too great a strain when standing or walking. But with the cleansing of the system and the equalizing of the circulation externally and internally, we will find these conditions will be much improved.

26. (Q) Is there anything functioning improperly that causes obesity? (A) As we find, these are as we have indicated - the tendencies for the accumulations in the system, and the

725-1 Page 5

system making for the attempt to create a balance creates the heaviness in the system. With these properties as indicated, with the diet watched as given, normalcy in weight, normalcy in the equilibrium throughout the body should be maintained for a greater period. And the body will be less apt to be subject to cold and congestion. Do these, and we will bring for this body a near normal condition.

27. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed ] to The Reilly Service, giving directions for colonics. See letter [which was enclosed] to Snyder Pharmacy giving directions for prescription. If you decide to fill the prescription yourself, you might obtain the ingredients from an old drug house in New York - Eimer & Amend, 18th St. & Third Ave., or order them from S. B. Penick & Co., Asheville, N.C. However, I think Snyder Pharmacy has all these ingredients on hand and there would not be a delay. They have agreed to fill prescriptions for us AS given in the reading. See Alkalin-Reacting Foods list [which was enclosed], of which it seems seventy percent of your diet should consist. GD.)
