1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [733].

2. Now, as we find, the physical conditions that disturb the body in the present are an outgrowth of disorders that have been subjugated for some time. Hence in giving that which disturbs the body in the present, that may aid in bringing better conditions for the body, it would be to give rather that which has caused same. And then with the correction of these disorders we will find much that disturbs the body in the present would disappear, and also what have been at times considered as the causes.

3. These have to do with the functioning of the organs, and yet some organs have become involved; not to the extent that they may not be aided to return to their normalcy in functioning - but disturbed through pressures that have exercised in the past such an influence in the flow of the activities for the resuscitating force to make for an overaction; thus producing definite disturbing factors in this body, [733] we are speaking of.

4. Then, these are conditions as we find them with this body, [733], present in this room:

5. The BLOOD SUPPLY we find rather heavy, charged with activities that should have been eliminated through the normal channels from the system; thus causing or producing activities in the muscular forces as to produce swelling at times, acute pains at others, and in such activities bringing about the distress upon other portions of the body. These, as we find, in their incipiency or in their beginning, arise from definite impulses that may be found - or are indicated - in the 8th and 9th dorsal centers; where those activities upon the system have made for an increase in the flow through the pancreas, and in making same has

733-1 Page 2

caused the conditions in the body to bring about the actions that make for the eliminations to become so active as to carry back into the system rather than being eliminated through their proper channels.

6. Thus we have incoordination through the eliminating system; as we find very poor respiratory action at times, yet at others the body will find - from pain - a clammy condition will exist on various portions of the body. Yet these very same conditions have INCREASED the action of other portions of the body as to increase the weight to that above the normal; to such an extent that this at times CROWDS - or makes for the poor eliminations in other portions of the system.

7. These also affect the organs of the pelvis, so that the kidneys become surcharged with the activities - tending, or attempting to eliminate this too much flow in the circulation; this producing in the lumbar and sacral area, again, not such a subluxation as exists in the 8th and 9th dorsal, but rather a circular lesion in the 4th lumbar specific - which is SYMPATHETIC in its condition, thus making for the contractions in the muscular forces, especially in the sciatics that, with the poor circulation - or slowed circulation in the carrying back to the heart, make for the heaviness in the limbs, the tendencies for contraction even at times of the muscular forces, especially along the upper portion of the lower limbs and the knees and the feet and the ankles - all at times give more or less distress to the portions of the body, from this first cause.

8. Hence we have, as indicated, the beginning - and the present effect to the system from those conditions that have previously existed as HIDDEN conditions in the physical forces of the body.

9. In the addition of conditions for the body to dissolve, or to effect the dissolving of the accumulations in the very poor eliminations, these naturally break down the activity or the functioning; and the organs of the spleen, the pancreas, the liver, come to depend upon this rather than from the secretions that should normally flow from the gastric activity to the organs in performing their functionings in a normal way and manner. These produce, then, a dull heaviness; at times insomnia, at times leadened conditions, feelings of leaden conditions through the whole body; a numbness coming about in the extremities at times. These are the effects, as indicated, as we find them here.

10. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, we find these in their general activity are very good. While the heart's action naturally becomes involved in the condition,

733-1 Page 3

when the liver and the kidneys are involved in the eliminations, the metabolism and katabolism both of the system become involved in the condition. This has tended to make for an engorgement, or a tendency in that direction in the organ itself. Yet these have not reached and do not reach those proportions in the present that the body should be alarmed about; but it should rather go about making the corrections of the BASIC causes of the conditions - or those corrections in the lumbar and the dorsal area specific, that will relieve these conditions. And THEN, with the addition of those properties that will make for the normal activity, and then when the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, the kidneys are restored by the normal impulse from the circulation, the general assimilations for the body, we will restore to near normalcy those activities through this body, [733].

11. We find that naturally the reflexes are involved through the eliminating system in the alimentary canal, but these of themselves - as we find - will be a great deal better aided in their activity with the natural flow, the natural activities in the system.

12. Then, in meeting the needs as we find them for this body, first we would begin with the corrections in the dorsal area as we have indicated, of those subluxations that exist there. Necessary, in making these corrections, that the hypogastric and pneumogastric in the upper dorsal and the cervical area be kept in accord.

13. And we will find that it will be necessary for the addition at times of some of those properties that have been taken for the activities for the digestive area, but these should gradually be eliminated from the system; and CAN be, AS the body begins to function under normal conditions.

14. For those conditions in the lumbar and sacral area, these - as we find, would respond better by the application of heat before corrections are made; which would be by the use of packs from a saturated solution of Epsom Salts.

15. And across the area of the upper portion of the right limb and left limb, or in the clavicle area, we would paint the body with Aconite and Tincture of Laudanum before applying the Epsom Salts packs; one part Aconite to three parts Laudanum would be the correct proportion. The general massage for the rest of the portions of the body.

16. But make the SPECIFIC adjustments in the 8th and 9th and 10th dorsal; reducing - by the massage and adjustments - those lesions in the lumbar area, as indicated.

17. As to the matter of diet, keep away from starches and sweets; and eat those foods rather that will be nerve and

733-1 Page 4

blood building for the creating of the correct impulse for those activities of the organs where and when the corrections are made in the cerebrospinal system.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Do I understand correctly that the Epsom Salts packs should be applied over the clavicle area, and then the adjustments made in the lumbar? (A) The adjustments made in the lumbar; the applications made over the clavicle, the adjustments in the lumbar and - of course - packs made over the lumbar area.

20. (Q) What climate would be most suitable for body? (A) Where there is not too great or too sudden changes, during the periods of recuperations. For we will find, if these adjustments and applications are made, the body should continue on the improve - and be rid entirely of these conditions. And we will find the better climate will be where there is not too great a change in either the atmospheric pressure or the temperature.

21. (Q) Would you advise that the body go to Hot Springs, Arkansas, for the baths? (A) The baths would not be harmful to the body; but IF these applications are made as we have indicated - these would be better than the baths!

22. (Q) Will the treatments as suggested reduce the weight? (A) The natural condition, as indicated, with the increasing of the flow in the active forces of the body, has been to put on weight. With the correction of these actions in the body, the normalcy in weight may come about - which would be about a hundred and fifty to a hundred and sixty (150 to 160).

23. (Q) What was the cause of the original condition? (A) An injury in the 8th and 9th dorsal.

24. (Q) Will you outline the proper diet for the body? (A) As indicated, keep away from starches and sweets. As to the rest, keep a well-balanced diet for the body.

25. (Q) Would it be necessary to have an osteopath, or just a masseur? (A) An osteopath, by all means. The masseur would not make the proper adjustments or the proper coordinations between those centers - which MUST be adjusted.

26. (Q) Any other suggestions for the better physical conditions of this body? (A) Take as little internal medicines as possible. These are only irritations, but - as indicated - these will have to be GRADUALLY diminished as the conditions are arighted that HAVE caused the disorders.

733-1 Page 5

Keep the body in the mental attitude of knowing that there are being created in the physical forces of the body the CORRECTIVE conditions that will bring normalcy for a better physical, mental and spiritual activity.

27. (Q) How often should the Aconite and Laudanum, and packs over the clavicle, be used? (A) These would be about two or three times each week; ONLY to be given before corrections are made.

28. (Q) Would you advise Miami, Fla., would be a good place for the body? (A) Miami, Clearwater, St. Petersburg - any of these would be well.

29. That is all the questions.

30. We are through for the present. (GD's note: See letter [which was enclosed] to osteopath giving directions for packs and treatments. See 733-1, Par. R1.)
