Time of Reading Cayce Hospital, 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before, under a different name. [GD's note: The suggestion was given this time using [758]'s nickname, whereas before always the suggestion was given with his correct first name.] In some respects we find that the accentuation of distresses as are manifested are in keeping with the precautions as were given, as respecting being consistent with the activities of the body, as regarding that attempting TO be accomplished IN the physical forces of same. These accentuations come from cold, congestion, tendency of the body to bring back that overtaxation through the INCOORDINATION of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal centers; that is, as has been given, the SYMPATHETIC nerve system, that of the nerves PARTICULARLY of the involuntary or the quick reaction from MENTAL ACTIVITIES of the body, and the CEREBROSPINAL cord and its ganglia and centers, those of impulses as radiate THROUGH the system, not only as TO the carrying OUT, but of IMPULSE TO carry out. While those of the sympathetic are non-coordinant. Then, the nervousness to all PORTIONS of the system are apparent IN the activities of the centers through which the radial activity of the cerebrospinal and sympathetic function. Hence precautions should be taken, and when such conditions arise, rest, ease, and ESPECIALLY stimulating to those centers from which the activities are most pronounced, should be given through the CHARACTER of MANIPULATION given at that period; not failing in keeping all the mechanical appliance in THEIR proper proportion and proper ratio in the system, and again - as is given as respecting those of the precautions as being consistent with the application of mechanical influences in the nervous system. To attempt to just apply ANY old time, at any old period, is being very inaccurate, and not coordinant to - but merely a formality to carry out some suggestion, but it carries out nothing -

becomes HARMFUL. If it may be aiding, it may be harmful - if not applied properly. Be consistent. Be persistent, for conditions are ON the improve, and when these are carried along properly, we will find more and more improvement. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) Why is the body so susceptible to colds? and how may they be prevented? (A) Why would you prevent them, except taking the precaution AS HAS BEEN GIVEN? This a NATURAL result of conditions general in a system where coordinations are being attempted to be established between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, see? Just PRECAUTIONS should be taken. Not more SUSCEPTIBLE but more PRECAUTION NECESSARY! That's all!

3. (Q) What time of day would be best for the various treatments to be given regularly? (A) Those of the wet battery appliance should be as the body is to REST, see? that in the evening, then. Those of the Radio-ACTIVE, that bring about a coordination, should be during a given period when the body - of morning, or noon - RESTS from PHYSICAL exertion, PHYSICAL activity, and not be given at once, or just any time when you can catch him!

4. (Q) When would be the best time for the manipulations to be given? (A) Those may be given in afternoon, or forenoon - PREFERABLY they should be BEFORE the body goes for its MORNING activities. Reason same with the activities and the cycle of functioning of a physical organism; keeping mindful that, that as is being attempted to be accomplished in the physical body.

5. (Q) When will body be normal and ready for school? (A) It's ready for school! but in the NORMAL, that depends upon the consistency and persistency in the activities, and application of the activities, for the bringing about of the proper coordinations.

6. (Q) How long is it advisable to keep body at Cayce Hospital? (A) Until they get ready to move it!

7. (Q) Suggest a change in diet that may be of help. (A) We would not change so much the diet in the present. Just do not, while there is cold and congestion, let there be food values that are HEAT creating.

8. (Q) What is meant by last reading, "Do not be lax in any of the applications, whether mental, physical or mechanical application", etc.? (A) This has just been explained, in the application of the mechanical appliances for the system, and those of - whether medicinal or whether educational, or whether the training of

the whole PHYSICAL forces of the body!

9. (Q) Any further advice regarding the body? (A) Do this at present. We are through with this reading.
