1. EC: We have the body here - this we have had before. Now, we find some changes in the general conditions of the body. In MANY respects we find the whole condition bettered, especially in that the responses in physical, mental, and coordinative activities are easily respondent to conditions as may be applied to the body.
2. The precaution that SHOULD be made, is that as has been INDICATED - that it is not OVER done, in taxing the body mentally OR physically as these responses are BEING created in the system.
3. Here may be an illustration as to conditions as are taking place:
4. In the beginning we found incoordination, especially from pressures created in lumbar and sacral region, dating from that period when the body most amenable to outside influences, or at the time of presentation into the material world. This remaining in the state of misdirected energy, caused the impressions to be made in such a manner as to cause in the upper cervical - where coordination comes with the sympathetic and cerebrospinal, to coordinate with centers in brain, where the activities of impulse directed from, or BRANCHES from sympathetic and cerebrospinal, joining to produce coordination in impulse regions in the brain.
5. In the corrective measures, the reaction from manipulation and adjustment from pressures in the lumbar, sacral, upper dorsal and cervical regions, was to allow impulse to flow more evenly. The adding of the vibrations in the electrical appliances, ONE that produces coordination to the exterior forces - or those of EVERY form of electrical vibration in the lymphatic and capillary circulation - the DEEPER one to produce a balance between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic. These having become active, and - as has been shown, seen and given - being MORE
758-18 Page 2
sensitive, MORE active, MORE subject to strains in ANY direction; and under strains - must cause REBELLION in their activity.
6. So, taking these conditions into consideration, be mindful that there is, as has been given, the proper rest taken during the day, as well as of evenings and night; that, WITH the application of sands, sun, and heats from same, these are NOT OVERTAXING WITH that being administered; but that they be coordinative WITH that being administered; so that, when the body rests in sand, or in those vibrations FROM same, that there is NOT an OVER abundance of that DEEPER vibration, to cause the DISCORD in the sympathetic and cerebrospinal in brain.
7. As to the applications, these are being administered in a much BETTERED condition than they HAVE been in SOME periods. There is a better reaction in the system, that is seen and is significant to that being sought for the body.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) What caused spasm and what can be done to prevent recurrence? (A) This has just been explained, in that an over active system coming under strain - where discord has existed - caused the confusion, or the reaction as to produce that of the incoordinating with sympathetic and brain center. To prevent same, keep much in the way as has just been outlined, has just been signified, as is the CORRECT MANNER TO FOLLOW IN THE CONDITION.
10. (Q) Are battery treatments being given correctly? (A) It has just been stated.
11. (Q) Is it advisable for mother to leave body and go to N.Y.? (A) While there are conditions, circumstances, and times when no one can act in the same capacity for the body AS the mother; yet there are times when strain - that is telling on EACH - would MAKE for improvements were the PROPER ADMINISTRATIONS made IN mother's absence, see?
12. (Q) Should body continue light treatments during hot weather? (A) These should be reduced when the treatments in the sands are administered. Makes too MUCH strain on the circulatory system.
13. (Q) How often should sand packs be given? (A) About every OTHER day. In that case, the lights should not be OFTENER than once each week, see? to keep - There is seen that there are variations as to that created in system by artificial light and respiration set up in the form of circulatory enlivenment, and that as is received by the application of sand packs and the manner in which they are administered. In administering sand packs, first there should be chosen that of dry sand - and preparations made
758-18 Page 3
for same, see? Then the body should be wet with sea water, by dampening same - or wading into same - being wet all over - then covered in the sand, of course not the face or the mouth, or eyes, see? Eyes should be kept well shaded during such treatments, and for ten - fifteen to twenty minutes such should be given, with the dry sand - see? Then, IMMEDIATELY after same the body SHOULD be drained off - or bathed off - and REST, see? for fifteen to twenty minutes, at LEAST, SO THAT the body has the OPPORTUNITY to RESPOND TO those vibrations set up; for the pulsation is EQUALIZED by such applications. When there are days during a week that packs are NOT given, then the light may be applied in the manner as has been outlined, but REST AFTER same in the same way and manner. Not that the body should not be in the open as much as possible, but there are EXTREMES in ALL things, and that that is NOT extremist in ANY condition is the better.
14. (Q) Does it make a difference which is applied first, in the wet battery? (A) Always makes a difference which is applied first. This has been given, time and time again.
15. (Q) Which should be applied first? (A) Positive.
16. (Q) Any special diet advised? (A) This has been advised, and may be altered or changed to meet the needs of the conditions, see?
17. That is all the questions regarding this body.
18. Not too much sweets, but sufficient of a CHARACTER of sweets that there is sufficient carbon and carbohydrates IN the system for drainage and for BUILDING material, ENDURANCE material. These come from CHARACTERS of sugars created IN system, rather than from sugars themselves; as certain characters of chocolate, or cocoa, or of such. These are resistance BUILDING, but may be easily over done, where a COORDINATION - ESPECIALLY as applied in THIS case - is being created; but RESISTANCE is much better created by the building up THROUGH such, than with the application of meats or even of VEGETABLES; while fruits - in their season, and in the manners that ARE active with the system - create a proper resistance.
