Time of Reading 12:35 to 1:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York.

1. HLC: You will have before you the body and mental development of [758], who is at the Muderick home, 6014 Carpenter St., W., Philadelphia, Penna. You will describe the present physical and mental condition of this body, and give at this time suggestions for his development under present surroundings, especially considering information at this time that will be of help and interest to Dr. Yale Nathanson [Ph.D., psychologist] of University of Pennsylvania who is observing and guiding the case. You will answer the questions which may be submitted.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [758]; we have had this before.

3. Now, as we find, there are many changes in the physical forces of this body - [758], since last we had same here. Some are showing a better physical and mental reaction. However, there is not the whole proper coordination; even though some conditions have been altered since last we had same.

4. As to the applications that are made in the present, we find these are tending towards a better coordination from the reflex activity in the responses to mental forces in the system. But, as we have indicated heretofore, there are physical conditions also that must be aided in their adjustments, for the more perfect coordination. Yet, as we find, from the present physical conditions, the present reactions in this body, these can be - and will be - brought about. For, as we have given, much may be expected of this body in its physical and its mental activities in this material world in this experience.

5. We have indicated that there are certain portions of the physical organism where there are lesions, where the tendons and the nerve forces that make for the coordination between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal system, especially in the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system, must be made

758-38 Page 2

to coordinate in their reflex and in their coordinative activity. These, as we find, are in the lumbar and the sacral areas - as we have indicated; that need the massage that will enliven those ganglia and centers to an activity, that there may come the physical coordination or meeting or activity. For if this condition were to be described, as to the responses that are made at times for this body in its mental reactions, it is as a short circuit in an electrical appliance where AT TIMES conditions are perfectly normal. For there are periods in this body when the memory and the reaction and coordination between the white and the gray forces in the cells of the nerves themselves, that make for response through the sensory system, find ready response. Then there are other periods, when there is only the partial response; then there is the change entirely and it is as if there were no contact at all. These are effects of the activity of the centers in the organism. For, as we have indicated, it isn't a lack in the brain forces; but of being able to make the contacts, as it were, in a COORDINANT way and manner.

6. These centers, then, need a stimulation given - in the manner as we have indicated. For, as has been ordinarily determined by these of the osteopathic profession, manipulations to the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus - or the upper cervical and dorsal - without respect to the lower portion that we have indicated (9th dorsal to lower portion of sacral), will bring the INDETERMINATE activity - or the tendencies for the body to become upset through the stomach, through the digestive system. But, if these applications or manipulations are made from that particular area indicated (lumbar and sacral), and the rest of the cerebrospinal centers only COORDINATED WITH SAME, then we may find that these will - with the other applications that we suggest - be most helpful to the physical forces of this body.

7. The other applications would be in this manner; for we find there are those divisions or the elements that are known in the material activity of the body that may be divisible - or known as material conditions. These added to the system where elements are lacking in the chemical analysis of the influences to those portions where there are the hindrances to an activity of a plexus, or of an organ or a functioning of the organs through the secretions and the glands' activity in portions of the system that make for those influences to create the proper balance in the elements necessary and needed - and THEN the osteopathic manipulations and activities to the body - WILL make for,

758-38 Page 3

and will produce, the proper elements that the system, the latent forces of the body itself, may use same in carrying out those functionings for making for a perfect coordination in those areas indicated.

8. Hence we would use in the present that which was once begun, which was never wholly given in its proper order - the wet cell battery activity, that will carry the vibrations from a Gold solution into the system. The plain anode would be attached first, to the 1st and 2nd cervical. The other plate, carrying the vibrations of the solution to the assimilating forces of the body itself, would be attached last - over the lacteal and umbilicii duct or area, in the right side of the body. These attachments should be made for at least fifteen to twenty minutes each day.

9. Every other day give the vibrations from the massage, or the osteopathic manipulations.

10. As to the ministrations for the mental coordinations with the body, in its activities of the mental forces - tones and sounds will be the channel through which the coordinating of forces for the body may make for the first of the perfect reactions; and will thus aid in bringing about the more ready response. For, as is seen, there are the coordinations through the auditory organisms, and these forces vibrate to every force of the body itself; and these carried in their correct or regular order for building up, will make for an aid to perfecting the normalcy for this body of [758].

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) What was found with the test taken by Dr. Goldberg during the last two weeks? (A) This was a negative test.

13. (Q) What did the blood test show? (A) Lack of sufficient corpuscle activity in the system; all below normal.

14. (Q) What was lacking in the blood? (A) Sufficient quantity of the hormones to make for the building for the proper coagulations between the activities in the system.

15. (Q) What was found with the eye test taken last week? (A) Deficiency in making for the proper vision; or the strain that comes by the lack of proper activity or flow of circulation through this portion of the system itself.

16. (Q) Suggest a method for using the tones in assisting his development. (A) Any of those that make for the ready response through the suggestive forces that are ordinarily made in following the various tones created for the activity of the mental

758-38 Page 4

forces in the body. Sounding this, that or the other tone, and this making for the perfect tone will find its vibration and its ready activity with the body. These with their associations, as may be shown, will be MOST helpful to the body, and will find RESPONSE to the body - rather than letters, words, pictures, or any other conditions.

17. (Q) Are there any other suggestions that will be of interest or help to Dr. Yale Nathanson, who is observing and guiding this case? (A) Those as we have given, as we find, would be sufficient for the interest; and then those that are necessary may be given - that may be sought in association or connection with same.

18. We are through with this reading. Two copies to Parents (one for Dr. Nathanson) Copy to Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed] to Osteopath with directions; also to The Reilly Service giving specifications for battery. GD.)
