Time of Reading 4:25 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ky. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [760]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, while conditions have improved somewhat since last we had same here, still not altogether satisfactory. The inability of assimilations, the tendencies for that activity to produce toxic forces, an expanding or dilating of the colon through the very pressure; those strains as produced upon the whole of the nervous system by those bloatings or expansions, with lessening of strength; this pressure producing in the area from the circulatory forces from heart to liver the distresses, such that an inflammatory condition arises about the gall duct area.

3. A contributory cause to this, as we find, has been the too severe or too deep treatments in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area. These in most conditions are correct for GENERAL conditions in the system, but the stimulation of the cardiac flow, as well as the activities to the organs of assimilation as through the liver and the pancreas and spleen, without the proper consideration of the flow below same, these make for tendencies towards irritation - and makes the whole condition more susceptible to any over- activity, overheating of the body or cold or congestion, or any food values.

4. In making the osteopathic adjustments (and we would continue with these) [By Martha Beard, D.O.], distribute these more in the areas of the sacral, the lumbar axis and below the 9th dorsal. To be sure, there should be relaxations in the hypogastrics and pneumogastrics, but these should be - for these conditions - tending toward the RELAXING for the lower portions of the body as the manipulative forces are given.

5. While it is necessary at times to continue with the properties that make for the proper assimilations in or through the Alcaroid, do not overdo this. Take this now about once a day or less unless there is too much of a

fullness and a tendency for the accumulation of gases.

6. Also as we find, the drainages through the use of the Zilatone and those to drain the gall duct, should not be produced or used when there is too much soreness in the right side.

7. Now, to make for the production of strength in the gastric flows through the colon and throughout the system, and a stimulation to the body that will give it more ease in the whole general conditions, we would prepare a compound to be taken internally in this manner:

8. To 2 ounces of Strained Pure Honey add 2 ounces of Distilled Water, as a carrier. Let this come to a boil. Skim. Set off and while warm but not hot, add - in the ORDER named: Extract or Elixir of Wild Ginseng........1/2 ounce, Extract of Wild Ginger...................1/4 ounce, Extract or Tincture of Indian Turnip......20 minims, Tincture of Stillingia...................1/2 ounce, Syrup of Rhubarb.........................1/4 ounce. Shake together and let it be taken BEFORE each meal, half a teaspoonful. Take the whole quantity unless there becomes a gnawing or too much a filling of the gastric juices or the abdominal area.

9. With these changes, as we should find, there should come greater strength.

10. As strengthening also we would take the beef juice. Take at least two tablespoonsful a day, one between the morning and noon meals, and one between the noon and evening meals. These are better sipped or taken a little at a time than just to take AS medicine. Take rather as food, preferably with Graham or whole wheat crackers.

11. Do that.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) How often should the course of Zilatone be taken now? (A) This must be in accordance with conditions and dependent upon the manner in which the applications are given in the osteopathic manner. But sufficient to keep the system cleansed. And as has been indicated, rather than taking so MUCH, better to take the enemas - so that there is an activity from the colon each day. Do not have these too hot, not warmer than the temperature of the body. Use a saline and salt solution in same. Using sufficient even though it's each day to have an evacuation is not too irritating if it

is done in not too hot a water.

14. (Q) Any other advice at this time? (A) In the rest of the diet keep near to those things as has been indicated. It's the combinations rather than the food values, as has been indicated, that cause upsets. No fat meats. And when beans or things of such natures are cooked, do not cook them in too much fat meat. Butter, or cooked in the straight water and then with butter and seasoning is preferable to fat meats.

15. We are through with this reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (Copy of letter with prescription to Snyder Pharmacy, Norfolk, given to [1005] to have filled.)
