Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [793].
2. Now, as we find, there are specific conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body; and these have to do with pressures which exist in the nervous system, affecting organs of functioning that in their over and under-activity leave those conditions which produce the greater distress.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [793], we are speaking of:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY, from the organic reactions, would appear to be very good; yet it will be seen that there are times when the activities from the kidneys are indicated in the blood stream - or a uremia that is produced by pressures in the lumbar and sacral area, and also to the 11th and 12th dorsal center, but lumbar and sacral areas specifically. These pressures are of such a nature that with the circulation to the extremities there is produced a poor return or venous circulation to the body from the lower extremities. Hence an irritation is produced, a swelling, a very UNPLEASANT reaction and an easy irritation to the burses of the feet; these are as drosses, or a poor circulation.
5. Medication internally as a secondary reaction may be beneficial, but to simply apply drugs - or even to apply any ONE reaction without taking the whole condition into consideration that has produced the effects (that is, the pressures indicated in the pelvic area and on the functioning of the kidneys and the locomotories, that affect the sciatics and the return circulation to the body) - would not bring other than TEMPORARY relief.
6. The ORGANS in their functioning are very good; save the disturbance indicated with the kidneys and bladder and, necessarily, with the organs of gestation and pelvic activities through the system (that are irritated and

affected by the conditions, and unless corrections are made must sooner or later become involved in the condition).
7. Then, in meeting these conditions as we find in the present:
8. We would have the corrections through the osteopathic manipulations and adjustments, especially in the 11th and 12th dorsal, throughout the lumbar area and in the sacrals of the body. In the beginning these would be given three times a week, for at least the first two weeks, and then for the next fifteen treatments about twice each week. At first in making these proper corrections we find that the reactions will be slow.
9. Hence, we would take internally in the system very small quantities of Atomidine, which will act as a purifier for the blood supply in its relationships to the gland secretions. Take one minim before the morning meal and one minim just before retiring in the evening, each day, in half a glass of water.
10. Also we would have a massage at least every other day with Olive Oil; using not a large quantity, but just what the body will absorb from the massaging; and this would preferably be separate from the osteopathic adjustments and manipulations. Massage along the areas of the sciatic centers, and especially under knees and on the feet and ankles. This would aid in establishing a better circulation.
11. In the diet keep those foods that are alkaline-reacting and that are body and blood building; not fats, but those that keep up strength and vitality and an even balance, especially in the Vitamins C and D.
12. Ready for questions.
13. We are through for the present. Copy to Miss [906] " " Ass'n file (GD's notes at the time of the reading: See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to osteopath. See booklet [which was enclosed] explaining Atomidine. See Alkaline-Reacting Food List [which was enclosed], of which your principal diet should consist. The Olive Oil massage may be given by one in the home. Extract from Nelson's Encyclopedia:

VITAMIN C - the antiscorbutic vitamin finds its richest source in green leaves, citrus fruit juices, turnips and tomatoes. Recent investigations seem to prove that a poor diet in Vitamin C is likely to result in dental disorders. VITAMIN D - known as antirachitic vitamin is found in fish-liver oils and the body fat of some fishes. Small amounts are present in milk and butter, and possibly fruit.)
