1. EC: Yes, we have those records here of that entity now known as or called [793].
2. In giving the interpretations of those records as we find here, much might be said respecting the application of one's will in reference to that which is an entity's ideal. For much of this, of a general interest or nature, would be particularly applicable as an experience to this entity; and the entity might indeed be used as an illustration of those very facts or truths as pertain to such.
3. For, being in the abstract sense sincere with one's own ideal is such an entity a seeker that would, does, will bring any soul to a greater understanding of the relationships to the Creative Forces. As:
4. What in thy material record was the fault (if fault it be) in that choice made by the mother of mankind (as known today), in harkening to the voice of the tempter?
5. "SURELY ye shall NOT die! It is good to look upon, it is good to know, it is good to understand; and SURELY it will satisfy that longing that finds in self no response as to what others are thinking, what others are doing; and ye shall indeed know, and SURELY ye shall not die."
6. Thus does the thought of one considering such find the soul thus tempted in the mental being took thought. And what said He that is Life? "By taking thought ye cannot make one hair black (that is white), nor can ye add one whit to thy stature."
7. Thus did the individual activity allow itself to be controlled by "What will others say?"
8. And this, as we find, is the motivative force in the greater portion of the experiences of the sons of men today, "What will people say?"
9. The satisfying of self's own curiosity, the seeking to know what others say; the advantage of knowing what others think, rather than that "I AM." That I AM is a portion of
793-2 Page 2
the GREAT I AM and thus is in consciousness for the preparation, for the schooling, for the gaining of that estate where curiosity, selfishness, self-desire is to be left alone.
10. And in doing so does one become the more stable and the more honest with self.
11. How, ye ask, is this applicable in the experience of this entity now known as or called [793]? That will, that fear of what may become a part of the experience is such in the experience of the entity that so oft does it find and has it found this very condition PREVENTING self from enjoying even its greater joys. For so oft is the attitude, "Yes - but tomorrow is a change. Yes - but can that be true for me? Yes - but I have not accomplished that which is my ideal. Yes - but I have fallen short of that as I would do. Yes - but they will soon be grown, thinking their own thoughts, doing their own ways."
12. And the entity has let so much of this INTERFERE with and prevent the real joy of the beauties, the joys, the wonderful grace that has ever been and is so near to each soul that seeks to know His face.
13. For it is not in some great deed, not in some great form. But just being kind, being gentle, being patient, being longsuffering, showing brotherly love, doing this or that for the sake of the very force that has prompted and does prompt self, is the manner in which each soul may KNOW that "My Spirit, my soul, beareth witness with His Spirit that I am indeed His." And in this manner does one become aware of one's soul's presence with this house of clay.
14. In the approach then (though much more might be said) to this entity's influences from the astrological aspects, we find:
15. Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, all having their innate influence upon not only the mental but even the emotional forces of this entity.
16. Thus we find the entity prone to be in its arguments very conservative, very orthodox. Yet in its thoughts, in its deeds, in its associations, it is prone to those forces in the opposite. And yet a student, a seeker; yet a home builder. And still confused. Why?
17. KNOW THYSELF! And then ye may know the greater relationships that each emotion brings in thine experience.
18. When anger hath beset thee, hast thou stopped and considered what the fruit of rash words would bring? Hast thou not rather said, "Yes, I forgive but I cannot forget. Yes, I will not remember but don't remind me of what you did."
793-2 Page 3
19. How hath it been given? If ye would be forgiven, ye must forgive. If ye would know love, ye must be lovely. If ye would have LIFE, GIVE it! What is Life? GOD! - in action with thy fellowman!
20. This bringeth also a desire for expressions of self in many fields of activity, in the mental, in the social, in the home, in the economic reasonings and surroundings. Yes, all of these may be summed up, "I am the Lord's. I will that His will direct; and will to do that which is in keeping with not what others think, not what others have said, but what I know! I am my ideal, the Christ - what He would have me say, AND BE, and do!"
21. Thus may the entity find in the humdrum of its associations, in the trials and cares of others, that song indeed that may be upon the heart and mind and lips of every soul, "He walks and He talks with me. He goeth with me into the garden, in my joys, in my sorrows. He keepeth my hands, my feet steady in my ministry to MY loved ones, to my friends, to my foes; for THEY are, too, His. And in ME they may see that He walks and He talks with me."
22. As to the appearances in the earth that have to do with the application that the self or the entity has made in the experiences in the sojourns through the earth, that are indeed a portion of self in this present experience, we find:
23. Before this the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, in and about what is now the southern portion of Lake Erie, Michigan and Fort Dearborn.
24. There the entity was a part of those groups that were beset by turmoils without, misunderstandings at times within.
25. And the entity through some of the hardships has brought into the present experience those tendencies for a secretive nature, to keep things to self; satisfying self that to burden others with that which troubles or that which discourages only adds to same. Take thy trials, thy temptations with Jesus in thy walks with HIM, and these disturbing forces in thine experience will disappear.
26. DO NOT make thyself a martyr. Let it be rather as He. In the CROSS He BECAME the Savior and not martyred for a cause. In the CROSS He overcame and thus in ALL thine experiences open thy heart, thy mind, thy self to Him!
27. The name then was Muriel Alden.
28. Before that we find the entity was in the Roman land when the understandings of the teachings of the Master were being spread abroad.
793-2 Page 4
29. The entity then was of the household of the cousin of Pilate, but abiding in the city from which those forces, edicts and orders for persecutions arose.
30. There the entity saw and experienced much that brought disturbance to the physical experiences of many.
31. Thus there became builded much that arises in the present of the feelings of "Something must be done about this and that; something must be accomplished. I must raise my voice and hear in the defense of that, or in the putting down of this or that."
32. These became or become urges from those experiences as Saparah, that was so close to Titus, Timothy, Paul.
33. And as these characters and their activities are reenacted as it were in the experience of the entity in reading same, there is the welling up within "not all is told." And indeed it is not, in thy records. But much of these ye may know. For what is His promise? "As ye live, I will bring to thy remembrance all those things that may aid thee." For He hath not willed that any soul should perish but hath with each temptation prepared a way of escape and brings and bears with each all each soul will give to Him; for that ye give ye possess.
34. Before that we find the entity was in what is now known as the Persian or the Arabian land, then among the Grecians that came into the land for the purposes of besetting or belittling first the young men and those that were trained in the aids to those that came and went as emissaries.
35. The entity coming under the influence of the teacher in the 'city in the hills and in the plains,' through some experiences, attempted to hold both to the orders from those that had ordered same and to know and to maintain the relationships in the 'city in the hills and in the plains.'
36. But the entity rose above the activities that would bring disturbances and became one who wrote much of the tenets for those in their varied schools as lessons or as what would be called today axioms.
37. Thus the entity finds in its experience, if a whole sermon can be put into but few words, if a whole book can be put into a paragraph, all the better.
38. And if the entity will apply self in the present, it may find that much which has been a part of self may be made as records or as experiences that may be most helpful to others in terse - yes - but direct lines for the help and instruction of others.
39. The name then was Lului.
40. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:
793-2 Page 5
41. As has been indicated, hold fast to that thou didst gain from those instructions of Paul, Timothy; and ye will find that the ways in thine endeavors, in thine activities, will become more and more beautiful. Not in the longfacedness; for the Lord DEMANDETH NOT SACRIFICE but love!
42. Ready for questions.
43. (Q) Why is it that sometimes I think I will almost burst, wanting to do something - constructive, of course, but do not know what it is? (A) As has been indicated.
44. (Q) Can you give me any direction in what line I could best express myself? (A) As has been indicated.
45. (Q) Do you see the conditions changing around me for the better? (A) In the application of self, if ye change them, they will be all better.
46. (Q) Is there anything I could do to help my husband in his affairs? (A) Thoughts are deeds. Do not be other than optimistic. Let him know day by day that thy thoughts, thy prayers are with him in his uprisings, in his faults. Do not condone them but do not condemn them. Let him know that thou art indeed a helpmeet; not a ball and chain, not one that would persuade or would direct, but a helpmeet.
