Time of Reading 11:20 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [795].

2. Now, as we find, the greater distresses that cause the disturbances in the physical forces of the body are of rather specific natures. While the effects that are produced in the extremities and in portions of the body are from malnutrition and the lack of the proper assimilation-forces, these arise form specific conditions that prevent the lacteals, the adrenals, the glands that make for the better assimilation, from functioning normally.

3. In the development of the body (for it is in its developing periods or years) we find these arise, as may be said, from a first cause - or from those conditions that existed with the body before its advent physically into this material experience, and those things that surrounded same.

4. This has produced the lack of the proper flow through the umbilicii centers and ducts that affect, and have affected, the digestive forces and systems of the body.

5. Hence we find that to correct these conditions (and in the present they may be corrected) would be to prevent many others arising not only in the structural portions, as from the feet and hands or portions of the body itself, but make for a better normal balance between the sympathetic and the emotional and the physical forces of the body itself.

6. There are those tendencies for an overflow from the gastric juices. Hence we have the periods when - after any quantity of food has been taken - there is the belching or throwing up, or the stirring up of the stomach, lack of proper assimilation throughout.

7. We would begin first, then, with an outline in this manner:

8. Every other day, for an hour, we would apply packs across those areas of the caecum, the liver, the pancreas, the whole of the right side of the umbilicii center - through

the lacteal duct area, in this manner: First the area would be - as it were - PAINTED with a mixture of three parts Laudanum to one part Aconite. Then dip the flannel (to be used for the pack) in an equal combination of Mutton Suet (melt the suet and then put the others together), Camphor and Turpentine, and apply warm.

9. We would also have a massage that would take in the whole of the cerebrospinal system, making specific corrections in the 4th lumbar and COORDINATING the lumbar and the sacral area with the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus throughout the cervical areas. These should be specific, though the whole general system would be massaged; GENTLY we would massage the area of the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, and all of the digestive system - GENTLY. Give the massage two or three times each week, or the across the abdomen and the general massage along the spine may be given each evening - but the corrections about three times each week. When the massages are given, be sure that the limbs and feet are attended to, especially.

10. We would be very mindful that the diet consists of those things that are most easily assimilated. Instead of using cows' milk we would use the combinations of the dried milk - as those combinations of milk with vegetable forces; such as may be found in Dryco and the like - or in Mellin's Food, which has a proper combination. These will make for an activity with the digestive system and may be changed by the leaving off or the addition of the combination itself, as to regulate the activities through the system in making for the proper assimilations.

11. It will be found helpful to put small quantities of Essence of Lactated Pepsin in with the food or give it separate; one, two, three drops in the milk or separate. This may be given at times when there apparently is more of the belching or tendency for the accumulations of same.

12. The Pepsin may be alternated at times (according to that necessary to settle the stomach, but give at separate times) with the proper combination of Limewater, which would be: To a teaspoonful of an equal combination of Limewater and Cinnamon water, add 1 drop 10% solution Iodide of Potassium and 2 drops 10% solution Bromide of Potassium. This will settle the stomach, cause the gastric flow to be nearer normal, and bring about better conditions for the body.

13. Being mindful with these conditions for the body, as we find, will bring the better effects to the whole system.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) Will following these suggestions stimulate better appetite? (A) Well, hasn't the whole outline been about the appetite!

16. (Q) Is a Life Reading advised at this time to guide development? (A) A little bit later. [These two statements were not typed into the original copy sent to Mrs. [601]: "May not need it! But don't put that in the reading!"]

17. (Q) Is there any other advice for the better welfare at this time and very near future? (A) Do these things, as we find, for the physical and mental forces of this body.

18. We are through for the present. [Immediately following the above reading, information was volunteered regarding the vibrations of places - See under 262-76.] Copy to Mrs. [601] " " Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to Osteopath. If everything else is not clear, let us know. GD.)
