Time of Reading 5:10 to 5:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [804].
2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body. These corrected in the present, as we find, may prevent a great deal of distress later on, and would respond much more readily in the present than should it become more of a constitutional condition than exists in the present.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [804] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. We find the BLOOD SUPPLY low in vitalization and irregular in the manner of the circulation to and from the extremities. This lack of vitality or of the proper numbers in the leukocyte to restore the vital energy, slowing the circulation especially in the deep centers, makes for a peculiar or unusual condition that arises when the body rests or sleeps. Of morning there is the tendency for the headaches, that arise from the heaviness that has accompanied the activity of the blood in its slowing. Thus the body often feels very much more worn when it should be rested, that when it has been in active force for some time. This is a condition in the POSITION of the body, which when the body is lying prone tends to slow the circulation more than ordinarily for the body; yet there are those elements lacking in blood stream. This lack has been gradually built by a drain on the blood supply through the lack of functioning of organs, and those tendencies for the ganglia in certain portions of the system to become more or less inactive, or not coordinating with the rest of the nerve forces as towards impulse for carrying the circulation throughout the body. We have a torpidity of a nature in the activities of the liver and the spleen. The pancreas is near normal in its activity. In the lacteal ducts we find the greater portion of the disturbing forces, as also with the glands in the adrenals. Hence those conditions in the
804-1 Page 2
lower hepatic circulation become aggravated at times, producing heaviness across the lumbar, and the lower portion of the body, extending to the lower limbs. This is as a reflex condition and not an organic disturbance.
5. The digestive system becomes upset at times; which condition apparently does not arise from the headaches nor the headaches from it; yet we do find that there is a sympathetic condition with same. Also the activities in the eyes, hearing, taste, feelings, the throat - these are accompanying conditions with such disturbances in the body.
6. As we find, then, in meeting the needs of the conditions for this body, [804] we are speaking of, present in this room:
7. We would begin with a very small quantity of the atomic iodine, called Atomidine, to create a better balance in the activity of the gland forces in the system. Take one minim twice each day. Because this produces a little dizziness at times after the second or third day, especially of mornings, do not become alarmed, because this will be only the effect of the functioning of the organs attempting to create a balance. Take one minim in a glass of water before the morning meal, and one minim in a glass of water just before retiring. Continue in this manner for two or three weeks, then rest or leave it off for a week. Then begin again. Repeat this procedure for three for four such periods or rounds.
8. Also we would have thorough manipulations, PREFERABLY - as we find - given in a NEUROPATHIC manner; that is, commence with the central portion of the body, following the nerve ends towards the extremities - as from the 9th and 10th dorsal towards the lower portion of the body; then begin at the 9th and 10th dorsal and go towards the head and to the arms. We would have such treatments at least three times each week for at least two or three weeks. Then rest or leave them off for two or three weeks. Then repeat.
9. During the whole period we would have the electrical vibrations that may be had from the violet ray applicator that only charges electrical forces for the body; not the bulb applicator, but the applicator that the body holds in the hand when it is used. Use it in this manner: At first we would begin with the right hand. The next afternoon we would use it on the left foot; lay the Applicator on a piece of glass and set the foot on top of it (This doesn't mean with the shoe or stocking on, but without either on). The next day it would be used in the left hand; the next day on the right foot. Go around the body in this same form and manner. This would be done each day for five to eight
804-1 Page 3
minutes. It is the machine that plugs into the light, you see; the regular violet ray applicator that is NOT in glass or bulb - it is not felt when it is held, but it will REVITALIZE those forces of the body; provided there will be, of course, those properties taken in the Atomidine that will make for the cleansing of the gland activity throughout the body, AND the neuropathic manipulations.
10. As to the matter of diet, be mindful that this is kept nearer to an alkalin-reaction. Then, we would be warned against fried meats or fried foods of any kind; not too great a quantity of Irish potatoes, though potatoes may be a portion of the meal - but preferably those with the jackets on, and eat the jacket rather than so much of the pulp, whether these be baked or roasted or boiled. No red heavy meats; these are hard for the digestive forces and for the revitalizing of the body. Keep the alkalin reaction in the foods, and we will find there will be made the better conditions.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) What about the lame right arm? (A) This will be overcome by the activities not only of the violet ray or the electrical forces for the body, but by the massage - and these changes will be materially aided in these conditions.
13. (Q) The glands in the neck? (A) Will be acted upon by the conditions as indicated.
14. (Q) I am taking the physiotherapy treatment. Is it the right treatment, or should it be continued with the treatments suggested here? (A) As we find, more of the neuropathic than the physiotherapy treatment will be most effectual for the body. If we will follow these conditions, as we find, in ten days we should see a decided change for the betterment. Do this.
15. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See booklet [which was enclosed] explaining Atomidine; also letter to Neuropath. If everything is not clear, let us know. The list of Alkalin-Reacting Foods [which was enclosed] may be of help to you, as your diet should consist principally of such foods. GD.)
