Time of Reading 3:10 to 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [805]; this we have had before, you see.

3. As we find, there are a great many changes in the general physical forces of this body since last we had it here. Much of these we find toward improvement; though there is a general and a specific disturbance that causes disturbances at this time.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [805] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. In the blood supply - this we find somewhat below the normal in the abilities of creating in the plasm of same the complete or full coagulation. This is produced by a bit of unbalanced condition in the chemical reactions of the body, - or in the assimilation.

6. Then, the system is somewhat lacking in the necessary amount of Vitamin B-1 in its make-up.

7. This, through some irritations that come from an unbalance in the alkalinity of the body, allows the body to be easily subject to cold, or to irritation especially in the mucous membranes of the antrum and nasal passages and throat at times.

8. We find that this may be eliminated from the system, through the local as well as general applications that may be suggested.

9. In the nerve forces of the body - here we find the specific disturbance of the local nature, from injuries externally. While there was not an injuring or fracturing of the bone structure, there is such a disturbance in the muscles AND the tendons where there is the joining to the bone structure, as to bring a great distress; especially as

805-5 Page 2

the body attempts to adjust itself to an equalized circulation as the atmospheric pressure changes during the day.

10. Then, even with the careful attention not to strain or to walk on same, this at times produces excruciating pain, also the inclination for such portions to increase in size - under the stress of lack of energies to call from the blood sufficient of the lymph to heal the bruised and distressed area.

11. This, too, as we find, may be materially aided; not only be the general combination as may be indicated for the body, but by the specific or local application of those properties that may ATTUNE a disturbed circulation to a more equalized activity.

12. These, as we find, are the disturbing forces; while the GENERAL conditions of the body - that is, the activities of the organs' reflexes as from the general activity - show a much more normal reaction than we have had here before.

13. There is very good assimilation, and this - as indicated - is only somewhat hindered by those specific conditions that cause the disturbances through the distribution of that assimilated.

14. Portions of those irritations in the mucous membranes, through the congestions which arise there, are from those tautnesses in the areas of the cerebrospinal as well as sympathetic system from which impulse is received for distribution of that assimilated through lymph and emunctory activity from blood and nerve supply.

15. This is in those areas from the 3rd and 4th dorsal to the 1st cervical.

16. Then, in meeting the needs of these conditions in the present - first we would give that there be at least two series of gentle but very specific adjustments osteopathically in that area from the upper cervicals to the 9th dorsal; more specific in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal, AND in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical. These should be made with the body upon the face, rather than the body upon the side; and this position will enable the manipulator to relieve the tensions.

17. Have prepared a compound for inhaling. Use a six ounce container, large-mouthed bottle (dark glass, preferably), prepared so that two vents may be put into the cork, and each of these stoppered with a small cork - both of which would be removed when inhaling the fumes.

18. To 4 ounces of Pure grain Alcohol, add - IN THE ORDER NAMED: Oil of Eucalyptus....................20 minims,

805-5 Page 3

Compound Tincture of Benzoin.........30 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp.................5 minims, Tolu in Solution.....................15 minims. Shake the solution well and inhale the fumes (removing both corks) into the nasal passages, first one side then the other; also into the throat. Do this morning and evening, or when there is the least tendency for irritation in the throat or nasal passages. This is an antiseptic or a nature that will reduce the irritation produced by congestion, cold, or ANY irritation existent there as indicated in the present.

19. Take ADIRON internally (formerly known as Codiron); one pellet taken with the noon meal, and one with the evening meal - as the meal is taken. Keep this up for periods of two weeks, then leave off a week, then take two weeks again, and so on throughout the winter months.

20. Then, as for those conditions existing in the ankle here - the adjustments have been WELL made. It is the lack of the healing force, AND the tension, that causes the pain.

21. Each evening, when ready to retire, apply a hot wet bandage about the ankle and the irritated area. Do this for five to ten minutes, to open the pores of the skin thoroughly. Then follow this with a massage using an almost saturated solution of iodized salt and pure apple vinegar; not put on in packs, but massaged gently - not hard, as to break the skin, but do not merely pat it on. Massage it with the fingers, gently, for about twenty minutes; and we will find that this will prove very beneficial. This may then be sponged off, of course, and a GENTLE bandage may be put on if so desired - not tied on, nor as a rubber bandage, but a gentle bandage for the evening. But in a few days we will find great relief from this distress here; and the other properties for the general condition and specific effects from the general disturbance will through this season be greatly benefitted.

22. In the diets - the body has been rather precautious. These are well. Keep rather close to the alkaline side, rather than too much of sweets or too much of starches combined improperly with fats or flesh.

23. Do these, as we find, and we will bring bettered conditions for this body, [805].

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) Are there any foreign growths in my body? (A) No.

26. (Q) Are my kidneys in good condition? (A) The kidneys at times cause some disturbance, in that

805-5 Page 4

the system attempts to adjust itself owing to the periods of superacidity; but with the corrections, and the applications that have been indicated for the general and specific health, it will be seen that the use of the inhalant for the antrum and throat will work nicely and gently, and relieve that tension of burning at times from the activity of the kidney and the bladder and the urethra. Do these things that we have given, and we will find bettered conditions for this body.

27. (Q) What should be done for neuritis in the left arm? (A) This has been indicated not only in the care of the diet but in the osteopathic corrections to be given of the nature outlined. And with the purifying by these antiseptics in the system, these poisons will be the better eliminated. If there should come a period of this overacidity, take a teaspoonful of Eno Salts in a glass of water each morning before breakfast for two to three days. This will eliminate through the alimentary canal the excesses of poisons that will produce pressures on the nerve system of the neuritic nature. But with these other applications as indicated, this will not be necessary very often; though once or twice a month do it if necessary, for two to three days.

28. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Dobbins; also for druggist in preparing the inhalant. Adiron is manufactured by The Lawrence Laboratories, Chicago, Ill. It sells for $1 a bottle of 60 tablets.) ts.)
