Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [811], present in this room.

2. Now, we find there are some conditions that are disturbed in the physical functioning of the body. The reactions are the more often described or considered the disturbance, yet these are from specific disturbances - as we find, and may be materially aided; and with the corrections of that which is producing or causing the disturbances many of the disturbing factors that arise at times will be eliminated and eradicated from the system.

3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [811] we are speaking of:

4. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, while this is very good at most times it indicates there are disturbances in the functioning of the eliminating systems such as to cause drosses to be left in the system in such measures at times as to cause disturbance to the functioning of the organs themselves.

5. In the NERVOUS SYSTEMS do we find the causes, or the basis of the disturbances in the body; for there has been for some time an impingement in two particular centers in the cerebrospinal system. While they are not of such a GREAT nature as to cause any noticeable disturbance save AT TIMES in the abilities for the activities in walking, there are tired conditions; making for languidness, shortness of breath at times, when there have been those cycles of activity as to cause the drawing upon the vitality of the system itself. Hence we find there are subluxations in the axis in the lumbar area, as well as in the 4th and 5th dorsal area. Hence we have two SPECIFIC conditions that arise from these conditions in the system. While these are not indicated in the present, they may be seen by not only the X-Ray but by the one who would make the corrections in

811-1 Page 2

these particular areas. And with the proper time for the body to adjust itself, we will find quite a different reaction in the whole physical force of this body of [811] we are speaking of.

6. As to the effects that are produced upon the ORGANS of the system, we find:

7. With this taxation to the nervous system, and with those subluxations in sympathy with the sensory organism, the pressure to the head produces severe headaches at times; as through the eyes, portions of the temple, as to make for even nausea. But the subluxation being in those centers in the upper dorsal, where the sympathetic cardiac plexus is involved, makes for the reactions to the stomach area itself; while the same subluxations at other times - or at most periods - make for the affectations to the centers that lie between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system as related to the sensory organisms themselves. When under such pressures these make for periods of depression also to the whole body, making for an irritability in the activities of the body. Yet, as we find, with these removed - and the toning of the system in such measures as to overcome the lack of the proper circulation through the affected portions of the system, as indicated - we will find the near normal conditions returning for this body. The activities of the nerve forces as related to the digestive system, to the lungs, bronchi and larynx - where these make for pressures in the thorax at times, all of these will be overcome; and we will find that the activities throughout the whole system will be much nearer to normal conditions in the system.

8. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions for this body, we find:

9. We would remove, through the osteopathic manipulation and adjustments, those conditions in the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system; in the axis of the lumbar area, coordinating - of course - the coccyx area where a pressure is indicated also by the activities through the pelvic organs and the pressure as created there sympathetically, removing those pressures also in the upper dorsal area.

10. Also we would apply the low electrical vibrations that may be had from the Radio-Active Appliance, that will make for the rest and for the overcoming of those conditions where the disturbances arise that prevent the body from resting or recuperating as it should in its proper periods of rest. We would attach this each day, preferably just before retiring, for at least thirty minutes to an hour; or, if it's necessary at other periods, it may be taken for a short period, but it will be found to be making for a

811-1 Page 3

balancing of the nerve energies and of the blood supply necessary for the replenishing and rebuilding throughout the system.

11. We would also use the violet ray; not the ultra-violet but the hand violet ray, preferably the hand charge and not the bulb variety, you see. This we would take about the body much in the same way as the Radio-Active Appliance would be attached; that is, one day it would be taken through the right hand and the next day through the left hand; the next day through the right foot and the next day through the left foot, and so circulate about the body. For these vibrations will make for charges in the system that will so stimulate the activities of that released by the raising of the subluxations in the areas indicated as to make for the proper balance throughout the system. It is well that these be taken until there is felt and breathed in much of the ozone created by such an activity; hence would be taken from twelve to fifteen minutes each day. Whether this treatment is given in the afternoon or evening does not matter. If it makes for a continuation of the treatment with the Radio-Active Appliance, it does not matter; for they are as a combination one with the other.

12. Well that the diet be a portion of the whole activity of the system in keeping same in an alkalin condition. There should not be, then, too great a quantity of starches taken; not too much of sugars, yet sufficient of these to supply the general needs of the body. But when starches are taken do not take sugars at the same meal, or when a quantity of proteins would be had there should not be taken too much sugars OR starches, but keep rather a well-balance.

13. And we will bring the nearer normal conditions for this body, [811].

14. Ready for questions.

15. In the manipulations and adjustments for the body, we would find that for the first two weeks these should be at least three times each week. Then we would rest or leave them off for a week, or two weeks. Then have them twice a week for three weeks. And this SHOULD make for sufficient adjustment and alleviation to make for the correcting of these conditions.

16. (Q) Will I be completely well again, and how soon? (A) This should make for those conditions whereby the body will be perfectly balanced and perfectly normal in its physical activities. This should not require greater, as indicated, than the periods through which the adjustments would be made; and the first two weeks we would find a great deal of improvement and a relieving of the tautness in the

811-1 Page 4

various portions of the organism.

17. (Q) Should I continue to take treatments from Dr. Giese? [Harold N. Geise, M.D.?] (A) If he provides or applies those that have been indicated here, well. If they are different, then we would change and have what has been indicated. Only the manipulations and adjustments are necessary to be taken from a physician; the rest would be very much better applied in the home - by self or associations.

18. (Q) What doctor in Washington should I go to, to get these treatments as suggested? (A) One that would be in sympathy with the method outlined, but of the regular osteopathic school. For these adjustments would be better made osteopathically than chiropractically, you see. These in the 4th lumbar and in the beginning of the sacral, you see; those about the coccyx or end of the spine; those specifically - to relieve the headaches and stomach disturbances, and that tendency for the position of the stomach to give a great deal of trouble - in the upper dorsal. These are specific. The GENERAL treatment, of course, would be throughout the whole body.

19. (Q) Could an osteopathic physician be suggested that would be in sympathy and would cooperate with these suggestions? (A) Anyone that is in sympathy, and there are plenty in Washington!

20. (Q) What shall I do to eliminate the cough I have and the constant effort to clear my throat? (A) These pressures that make for this tickling sensation through the secondary cardiac plexus, with the stimulation of the electrical forces will allow the circulation to pass through these portions of the system to eliminate such conditions. This is NOT an affectation of the pulmonaries, but rather of the sympathetic nerve forces between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nerves in the area of the upper cervical and those of the upper dorsal area.

21. (Q) How could I improve the ability to concentrate my mind for work or study and also improve my memory? (A) When the pressures are relieved between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal system, as indicated, and as given from the first, we will find there will be much better coordination between the imaginative or the sympathetic body and the physical body; for it is the AWARENESS of the disturbances in the body that prevents an individual from being able to concentrate or study or to apply along any given line, you see. For the distraction is produced by the constant reaction between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal

811-1 Page 5

system. Here we have a condition in this particular body, as indicated, that is affecting the centers where the sympathetic and cerebrospinal are at a junction, and hence make for a whole awareness. And oftentimes the disturbances that become disturbing to the body DO NOT disturb others; for the body feels that it is constantly disturbing others. This makes for the inability for the concentrations in its activity. These relieved, and then those necessary concentrations through MEDITATIVE forces, will bring the greater abilities to react.

22. (Q) How many hours of sleep on an average does my body require each night to keep me feeling energetic and alive? (A) Seven and a half to eight hours. And it gets about five!

23. (Q) What shall I do to make me sleep well? (A) Tie the Radio-Active Appliance or battery onto the body, as given, and you'll sleep well! That's what it's given for! For, as indicated, these disturbances keep the constant irritation, you see, throughout the system. And hence we have the application for the nerve forces from the electrical forces themselves, and from the very low electrical vibration as indicated by the use of the Radio-Active Appliance to equalize the circulation and give rest. Do these, and we will find we will bring the normal forces for this body.

24. (Q) Is it safe for me to have a child? (A) It will be safe WHEN the vital forces of the nerves are closer in accord. For, as indicated, with these taxations, the centralization of the nervous forces in the organs of the system would be too severe in the present.

25. (Q) How shall I improve and make happier the relationship with my husband? [[816]?] (A) Then keep in that sympathetic way and manner that makes for the greater cooperation in the activities of each. Find self interested in the activities of the companion; then the companion will find interest in that in which the body interests itself. Not as a forced issue, but rather as a companionate-cooperative activity. These make for those things that make life and the experience and the associations worth while. Let these be founded in spiritual truths that may be had in meditation; not of long-facedness, but let thine efforts EVER make thee joyous and happy!

(See letter [which was enclosed] to an Osteopath whom you might choose, with directions as to the manipulations and adjustments. Also letter [which was enclosed] to The Reilly Service giving specifications for the Radio Active Appliance. However, I think your friend Mrs. [808] is ordering the same type appliance you would need. The violet ray hand machine, with the rod attachment which is held in the hand, may be obtained at most any drug or electrical supply house. The list [which was enclosed] of Alkalin-Reacting Foods may be of help to you, as it seems your principal diet should consist of these. GD.)
