Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [816].

2. Now, as we find, while the conditions generally are very good in the physical forces of this body, there ARE those tendencies and inclinations due to specific conditions the correction of which is the present would prevent distresses later on, and remove a great deal of anxiety that arises at times from such discordant conditions in the body.

3. These, as we find, are of a specific nature, yet their affects and reactions upon the system are subtle in a manner.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [816] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY we find that this indicates there are disturbances in the assimilating forces of the body as related to the pancreas and the spleen's activity; which in turn - through the secondary cardiac reactions through the circulation from the liver to the heart - causes the heart's activity to make for an abnormalcy in its reaction as to pressure and as to the pulsation. The effects of these become at times as disorder, yet - as we find - these are NOT organic disturbances but are functional, due to pressures that are indicated in the specific centers of the cerebrospinal system where ganglia affect the activity of the sympathetic nervous system. These naturally have their reaction in the organs and in the nerves of the WHOLE system, but more specifically to the hepatic circulation.

6. The NERVE FORCES in the body, then, are the bases or the causes of the disorders, and the heaviness that occurs at times as of dizziness, swimming in head, the feeling as if there must be more oxygen for the body, are from those pressures reacting to the cerebrospinal and the COORDINANT

816-1 Page 2

FORCE between the sympathetic system in the 8th and 9th dorsal center and in the 3rd and 4th dorsal center. These are the specific centers where the indications of these pressures have caused and do cause the slowing up of the impulse of the circulatory system as related to the blood and lymph supply in the organs of the pancreas, the liver, the spleen, and affecting the heart's activity as related to the SYMPATHETIC cardiac system. This makes for disturbances in other portions of the system sympathetically. And with the correction of these disorders, and with those necessary precautions as to eliminate or to so apply those properties in the system as to eliminate or eradicate the drosses produced in the nerve and blood supply to the disturbance of the functioning of organs as indicated, we would find we would make a near normal condition for this body. Thus we would prevent the gradual slow drag upon the functioning organs of the system, that - once assigned, as it were, in their reaction - would become a condition of the nature to set up for ITSELF a disturbing factor or a constitutional condition. For the system - in the life flow, the vitality of the body, those reactions of the whole brain forces, the reactions to the sensory system, in the reactions to the whole central organism of the body - attempts to adjust itself, and to use the best that it has for sustaining and maintaining an equilibrium throughout the body.

7. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, we find these are disturbed as indicated in SPECIFIC areas or conditions. But those corrections that will alleviate the physical reactions and cause the life forces to have the more perfect organism through which to function will make for a greater reaction for the physical and the mental and the spiritual outlook that the body may have upon those influences about same, as well as the reactions in the body itself.

8. First, then, in making these corrections and changes, we would have those alleviations through the deeper therapy manipulations from the osteopathic adjustments in the 8th and 9th dorsal, in the 3rd and 4th dorsal, and COORDINATING those in the coccyx end of the spine and in the upper portion or cervical - upper cervical portion of the body. These necessarily become taut, making for an unbalancing with the locomotary axis of both portions of the body itself. And while the adjustments would be specific, the general manipulations would be necessary to make for the toning of the whole of the system itself.

9. For the making for the reduction of those sedimentary conditions that have been created in the activity of the

816-1 Page 3

pancreas, the liver, those activities through the kidneys and hepatic circulation, we would take internally a compound prepared in this way and manner: [See 816-2, giving correction in amt. (2 quarts instead ounces).]

10. To 2 ounces of distilled water, add 6 ounces plain Garden Sage (dried). Reduce this by slow boiling; preferably in an enamel container and not in an aluminum vessel, you see, and preferably with a glass cover; NOT a tin cover. Reduce the quantity to 1 quart. Then strain, and while warm add: Ambergris (dissolved in 1 ounce pure grain alcohol).................................15 grains, Compound Simple Syrup........................2 ounces, Gordon Gin, re-distilled.....................4 ounces, Cinnamon, preferably in the stick............1 dram, Tincture of Stillingia.....................1/4 ounce. Shake this solution together before the dose is taken; a teaspoonful after each meal, and EAT the meals!

11. But be mindful of the diet that there are not too much starches nor too great a quantity of sweets; for these irritate those repressions that have been created in the assimilating system.

12. The quantity of the compound as indicated should be sufficient.

13. As for the adjustments and manipulations, these would be taken three times each week for the first three weeks, and then twice a week for the next three weeks should be sufficient. But we would rest or leave them off after this period for at least two weeks, and then altogether if there are no more recurrent conditions from the dizziness or dizzy spells, or the reactions in the pulsations - which may be had by the indications of same; and we should find the body near normal.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) Will my spine and neck be completely well after taking the treatments indicated? (A) Be completely well after taking the treatments indicated.

16. (Q) My eyes are sensitive to light, especially artificial light. Can this condition be corrected? (A) With the natural pressure created to the organs of the assimilating system, the supply of nutriment through the circulatory system will be materially repaired. This, with those treatments as indicated for the upper dorsal and the cervical area, will materially AID these to be STRENGTHENED

816-1 Page 4

in their reactions to ALL light.

17. (Q) Can I do anything to improve my eyesight? (A) The head and neck exercises that will be given by the proper manipulations and adjustments will improve the eyesight.

18. (Q) My voice is sometimes nervous and unsteady when speaking in a public place. Can this condition be corrected? (A) This same sympathetic nervous force, that lack of supply of the flow of the circulation to the organs of the sensory system will be materially improved.

19. (Q) I am sometimes bothered with nasal catarrh. Can this disturbance be avoided? (A) Increase the circulation, not only by the addition of properties in the system as indicated that will alter the secretions for the circulatory system but by the removing of those pressures that will allow the proper circulation to the head; and all such conditions will be materially aided. [2/12/35 EC consciously suggested an inhalant such as recommended in other rdgs. (such as for Mrs. [538], Mr. [304], etc.).]

20. (Q) Can I take bending exercises without injuring my spine and neck? (A) After those corrections in those specific centers, it may be done.

21. (Q) Is my heart alright? (A) As indicated, the conditions with the heart arise from those pressures that have made gradually the increase of a disturbed circulation through the pancreas and the sympathetic cardiac plexus area. These are reflexes, not an organic condition, and will be removed or improved with the corrections and the alleviation of the drosses in the system through those properties as indicated. For the properties in the compound act in this manner upon the system. The fusion of the Senna or Garden Sage acts upon the liver and the pancreas in such measures and manners not to increase the gastric flow beyond that which is of a stimulating nature, and acts with the food properties taken at the time in such a way as to make for better assimilations throughout the activities of the glands and the secretions necessary for the carrying on of the gastric flow in the digestive system. And the ambergris acts directly with the activity of the pancreas itself, making for a better association of activities between the spleen, the pancreas and the liver; thus aiding where those pressures in the system have caused

816-1 Page 5

a dilatory activity through these, or increased activity of the pancreas and a slow activity of the spleen itself and to the liver for a normal flow and activity. On the other hand, the Gin will act upon the hepatic circulation, aiding or clarifying with the combinations to alleviate those tendencies of drosses to act upon the circulation through the hepatics, or through the kidneys; and these make for a more normal activity of the adrenal glands that act directly with the sympathetic nervous system to the circulation in the sensory forces or to the throat, the head, the eyes, and the activities of the sensory system. And these making, then, for an alleviation of those drosses and accumulations, with the corrections in the cerebrospinal system, the activities may CONTINUE in such a way as to bring the better conditions to this body of [816].

22. (Q) I usually wake very early in the morning. Can anything be done to make me sleep better? (A) This is more of habit, that arises from a nervous reaction or of such natures. If the body will use a little lemon juice just before retiring, with salt, this will materially aid the body in having better sleep.

23. (Q) How much sleep does this body need? (A) Seven and a half to eight hours should be for MOST bodies.

24. (Q) Can anything be done to improve the growth of hair on my head? (A) This has reached those conditions, by the lack of the flow of circulation, where much of that has been destroyed from which the activities of the glands in the thyroids and the adrenals make for the stimulation to these activities. But with the corrections made, and with the use of such a stimulating to the scalp as crude oil with the White Vaseline and alcohol (that we have indicated through these sources), there will be stimulated a growth that will not only improve the condition but prevent further inroads of this lack of circulation in the scalp. Such a scalp treatment would be given in this way and manner: About once each month have a CRUDE OIL shampoo, preferably done by self - it is messy, but it is necessary for the stimulation from the pure crude oil. Then cleanse same with the twenty percent GRAIN alcohol - not wood alcohol, but GRAIN alcohol - to remove the tar, the oil, and such influences, although some of the oil will have struck in sufficient to stimulate the circulation to the growth of the

816-1 Page 6

roots of the hair itself. Then use occasionally a little White Vaseline. The MASSAGE is more important for it, you see.

25. (Q) How long should the crude oil stay on before cleansing with the alcohol solution? (A) This depends, of course, upon the circumstances. For half to three-quarters of an hour, if possible. Do these things, as we find, for this body, [816]. Keep the mental attitude as one of construction, one that will make for looking more and more upon the bright or constructive forces in the experience. This is a helpful influence, and the source of real help from within.

26. We are through for the present. (See letters [which were enclosed] to Osteopath and Druggist.)
