Born March 9, 1883, [3:31 A. M. as per 816-6, Par. 4-A], on a farm near Pattonsburg, Mo. Time of Reading 11:10 to 12:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Life Reading Suggestion)
1. EC: (In going back over the years - "29 - '28 - Yes - '27 - '26 - '25" - etc., on back to birth date. [816] it lacked to have been named something else!")
2. We have the entity here and those relations with the universe and the universal forces that are latent and manifested in the entity now known as or called [816].
3. In entering the present experience we find those influences that make for innate and manifested urges, both in the inmost being or soul forces of the entity and in those from or to which the entity - the mental body - responds in an emotional nature or manner. It is true that many are the variations that the entity has builded in respect to those urges in the present experience, yet they have arisen from the manner in which the will of the entity has reacted and does react TO the urges from within. For while there may be and is in the experience of every soul the urge that is termed hereditary and environmental influence, individuals under the same influence of blood and of rearing (or environment) will respond or react in quite a different manner. This is caused by that deeper urge that is seen from astrological sojourns, as well as the indwelling in the earth under certain or specific experiences.
4. This entity, then, we find coming under those influences of Pisces (in the astrological); so that water and religion or spiritual imports have an untold influence; depending upon the manner in which the entity responds in the experience, for these have played an important part or been innate in the experience of the entity through many, many sojourns in the earth.
5. Pisces means that which is naturally, or by its nature, representing those influences that are of the higher soul or
816-3 Page 2
spiritual import. In THIS entity it has been the experience in the present to judge same the more often from the physical than the spiritual reaction; yet there has been in this experience the continual seeking - seeking - for SOMETHING in the spiritual nature of some influence that would answer that which as innate within the experience of the entity. Such answers may come only in the greater environs of waters, or those elements that make for the activities of same in the mental and spiritual imports.
6. In Mercury we find those influences making for a high mental ability within the experience of the entity. OFT, however, the experience of the entity has been that WITHIN SELF there was KNOWN much that to others failed in sufficient expression to bring into the material experience some experiences or some relations sought. And others have considered or felt as if it were a mental failure at times. This, a lack of the ability for self-expression, has made for the entity at times the experience of being considered by others as just a bit stubborn, just a bit self-centered, just a bit tended to withdraw within self and to be misunderstood by others.
7. And (this aside), it may be said here, there is little in the experience of any soul so discouraging or devastating to one that is high mentally attuned as to be or to feel it is misunderstood!
8. In Jupiter we find the ennobling influences, and that influence which makes for those innate and manifested experiences when the entity for duty, for promise or obligation that may find themselves in expression in materiality, often overrides much that is as an innate desire of self - for self-expression - to remain true to those innate duties and obligations in self. This again is of those elements that have at times confused, and do at times confuse the entity somewhat. In Jupiter there have been both adverse and benevolent influences. In the last two and a half to three years we have had adverse influences, especially during the months of October and November; yet we find - while there will be the passage of the influence of Jupiter upon those that have sojourned within its environs, coming as more of a benevolent influence in the next few months and remaining so for several years, and it is true many will pass through those influences where they have dwelt within the environs of Saturn and bringing many changes in their experience - THIS entity should, beginning in April or May of this year, find the self-expression more, with material things, social activities, those things of influence and power, on the
816-3 Page 3
increase throughout its experience for some years. And those things that have been hindrances, the entity will find the ability to give BETTER of self in self-expression, in such measures and manners especially to those of Jupiterian and Saturn influence, those in Mercurian influence, much that will be helpful and hopeful to those sojourners' experience. This also should bring in the next three years material blessings in the financial surroundings and the entity be in those environs where, while the entity will handle more of the material things or estates or moneys of others, yet it will be in the environ of the entity; thus making an opportunity, in the same an obligation, yet the opportunity, and with the abilities of self-expression should make for the mental, the soul, and also the material advancements in the experience of this entity.
9. We find in the Venus influence an activity which might make for questioning in the affairs of the heart, or the affairs in the home, the affairs with those where the material or the blood relationships exist; making for peculiarities in the entity's experience in these directions; mistrusting in individuals, mistrusting in the associations at times. For the entity sets by its store of self an ideal that is very hard often for others to be in accord with. It would be well for the entity to remember, in the analysis of self, in its finding first of its own self and its ideal, that there must be that given to others which the self would have others give to thee in their confidences, in their relationships. Do not expect more from others, nor one standard for self and another for thy friends, thy relations, or those in activity about thee. They are ONE! For, "Know, O ye people, the Lord thy God is ONE!" Of Him ye came, to Him ye owe all that thou art, thou canst be or ever WILL be! For in Him ye live and move and have thy being. Ye ARE indeed gods in the making! Then quit yourselves as the sons of a merciful Father; and as ye would have mercy and find grace and have peace, so must ye show mercy, so must ye be peaceful, that ye may become aware of the indwelling of His presence in thine inner self.
10. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, and those that influence the entity the most in the present, we find:
11. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when there were the settlements in this particular land of the entity's birth in the present; when there had been and were the associations of those that had journeyed to that land now known as Dearborn - and in the establishing of those forts, in the
816-3 Page 4
frontier activities that went out from those portions of the land.
12. The entity was among the children of one Dillingham that went into the land of what is now called or known as Missouri, and in those portions nigh unto Carthage - as the place is called, or was called in that experience. The entity began the activities there, and though there were the turmoils about the land, though there were the destructive forces from the material angle that came about, in that land did the entity succeed in making for the closer relationships with those peoples there and acted in the capacity of an instructor or a halper [helper]; and became what may be termed or would be termed as a judge, or one looked to for counsel, not only by the natives of that particular portion of the land but one to whom many of those who sought for the expansions in that particular portion of the land came for counsel and advice. Through the greater portion of the experience the entity advanced in the aid and help given to many, losing only in the self-indulgences in the accumulations of those things that brought about later in the experience the questionings of those about the entity; losing in that portion.
13. Hence much of that the entity has thought, has experienced, is cherished more from within. Yet, if there were some changes in these directions, there may be a greater joy in the living in this experience. For while that sojourn gives those influences which make for abilities in being able to cope with conditions and experiences in the lives of individuals and groups and masses, if these are held only in self and not given out with that love of service, for the abilities within self to give expressions of the love of a divine Father, they may become stumblingblocks in thine experience. For all force, all manifestations in materiality are the expressions of spirit, and are PROMPTED by same. Are these influences of the divine, or dost thou cherish those that at times may become questioned? Know in what, in whom, thou hast believed, and know whether it be of a constructive or of a growing influence for the spirit of truth or not. For the promise is given to all, "My spirit beareth witness with thy spirit as to whether thou art choosing good or evil in all of thy ways."
14. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as or called Palestine, during those periods when the Master of men walked in the earth.
15. The entity then was among the Grecian peoples that represented their country in the Palestine land, or what
816-3 Page 5
would be termed in the present as a counsellor, ambassador, or one in the capacity to see that his country was represented in that land - and dwelt there, though being a Grecian - in the lands about Bethsaida, and saw and heard much of those turmoils among those in power, of the various political factions that were represented among the Roman and the Jewish peoples in that particular land. Also the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Essenes, those that would be called the Roman or the State, and those that would be called the conservatives and those that would be called the aggressives. Or those activities about the entity caused much of thought and of stir.
16. Hence from that experience in the present we find that delving deep - deep - deep into what has been the influence in the experience of peoples in towns, cities, countries, states or nations, that has been the motivative force in their experience. And the entity is one of the few of such researchers that looks to the religious influence as well as the economic, as well as the state's craft or those activities. Hence an UNDERSTANDING arises in the entity's experience that is seldom matched by those even that may bear a great deal more credit for their accomplishments. Many, many that be in power would oft do well to turn to this entity for counsel respecting the associations of a political power or a state or a nation in their dealings with those who are either in need in this, that or the other manner, for their proper comprehension.
17. The entity from that experience, as Xercia, is naturally and INNATELY a leader by proxy, or selects or gives the authority into the hands of others. And in the very nature of the experience and of the development the entity made for an advancement throughout that sojourn in that land. For when there became those activities of the followers of that teacher in the Grecian land, the entity became the defender of those that preached, "Peace on earth, good will to those that love His coming."
18. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Arabian or Persian, among the soldiery of the Persian ruler.
19. The entity then was a leader among those who combated those who made raids upon the king's treasury, the king's stronghold in the varied lands; yet keeping self rather in those positions as of counsel to the king in his activities in the other lands, and counseled AGAINST the raids against the nomads. But with the coming, with the establishing of the city in the hills and in the plains by that nomad teacher or ruler that had gradually risen to power, with
816-3 Page 6
that establishing of those closer relationships, the entity joined with that teacher; not as a deserter from the Persian forces but rather as to enable its own people to become closer associated with the religious, the economic, the social - yea, even the commercial world that began to flow through those activities of those gathered about the teacher.
20. Then the entity, in the name Aspena, rose to one of position, one of power among those peoples in that particular plain; losing only when with those incomings of the people from what later became known as Greece the beauties of the women and those things established about the entity led the body, the mind - for the moment astray. This the entity overcame with the rebellions that arose, yet making in the present for those influences in the relationships that oft come to be hardships in the experience of the entity, when judged from those influences created by that experience in that land.
21. As to those abilities that arise from that sojourn, the dealings with others of many lands, especially that would have to do with court, law, order, or relationships with the MOVEMENTS of the products of the soil, those things that will have to do with the distribution of the products of this or that land. As a datastician, as one that would make for the correlating of the facts or figures pertaining to the best activity of same - such abilities become NATURALLY a portion of the entity's experience. And statistics on people, on places, become a NATURAL bent or trend of the entity's experience in the present.
22. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Egyptian, during those periods when the Priest had been banished from the Egyptian land.
23. The entity was among those peoples and the rulers, or the prince, of that land to which the Priest was banished. At first the entity was a resister of the tenets of the Priest; later becoming one that was a close follower with the tenets of the Priest. Though in that experience those of the opposite sex were the rulers, the entity was the prince - and when the tenets of the Priest were taken, the entity - raised to power - brought much in the experience, as El-Ed-In, that made for a great advancement among the Princess' and the Prince's own peoples.
24. Then the entity kept very close in touch with those developments, often going and coming to meet the Priest and those changes that came about in the political, the economic, the social or so-called religious experiences of what may be said to be the whole world during that
816-3 Page 7
experience.
25. Throughout the experience the entity gained, for he became that one that later was worshiped in that land. And the statues that are seen in that land where they have the extra arms, the extra activities, were of the entity - in his ability to minister to all phases of his own peoples during that sojourn.
26. Before that (among those that influence the entity in the present) we find the entity was in that land now known as the land of the entity's nativity, in those portions that were the place of refuge from Mu and the upper or first activities of the Atlantean land - and in that now known as Arizona and Utah did the entity then become the first of those that established the cave dwellers, and the use of the metals as a medium of exchange and adornment.
27. The entity innately from that experience is one who is a representative of, or one that may deal in, precious stones or metals, and from the MATERIAL angle be always the gainer. The name then was Gomo.
28. In the present the innate influences of metals and stones upon the entity will have their influence through those activities of the atomic forces. Hence the bloodstone or the lapis, or both, should be as a stone that would be about the body of the entity; not as an omen, not as a symbol; rather that the vibrations of the higher forces from these proper expressions of activities throughout the universal forces in materiality may be an aid or as a strengthening. From one there are the emanations of high electrical forces from its copper base. From the other there are the high electrical vibrations that emanate from its PURENESS of the higher vibration.
29. Then, as to the abilities of the entity in the present and that to which it may attain, and how:
30. First find in self that which is its ideal, knowing that which is innately felt must be founded in things spiritual. And so attuning self and so making for the motivating forces in its associations with its fellow man, give out - not so much in reserve. FEAR NOT, for He can and DOES guide thee! Thy day is before thee! The influences that were said of Caesar, "The stars FIGHT for thee." Keep thou the faith, but the faith in thy GOD to use thee as a blessing, as a channel of UNDERSTANDING to others through thee.
31. In thine fields of service materially, let these deal with the associations of thy fellowman one with another; especially as to that in which portions of the land, this or that or the other, may certain characterizations of development, be the better classified.

32. Ready for questions.
33. (Q) In my present employment, should I seek an assignment as personal assistant to a commissioner, or would an assignment to the general staff of examiners be preferable? (A) Assistant to not the general but to SPECIFIC, or especially in the activities in specific lines as indicated would be much preferable.
34. (Q) In my present employment should I travel as much as possible or as little as possible? (A) TRAVEL as much as possible! For the associations, the abilities to express self would be better, getting out of self and away from this tendency to be the recluse or to follow in a rote. While one may learn the most by listening rather than "shooting off," what thou hast to give is as a helpmeet to thy fellow man. Then in spreading same abroad and in thy associations and activities may the greater understanding come.
35. (Q) Would I be more successful in a line of work different from that now pursued? (A) No. This is in the direction thou should go.
36. (Q) From a business standpoint would a different climate be preferable to Washington? (A) As indicated, if you travel you'll find several kinds of climate! The natural tendencies are to seek out what causes people in this group or this land or this state or this vicinity to think or act as they do. It is the natural thing of change. Hence these would be changing about.
37. (Q) As to my home life, would an apartment or a house be preferable? (A) In the present or the immediate conditions, the apartment is preferable. If there are changes or the difference in the associations and surroundings, then the house would be preferable. But where there is that which may make for the better relationships in the present, remain as it is.
38. (Q) If a house should be purchased, would the present be an opportune time, or should I wait a year or two or three? (A) As we find, it would be preferable to wait. While there will be advancements, you will have them in more than one place! You will go north in the summer and south in the winter!
39. (Q) Should wife and self continue to live alone, or should I invite my wife's mother to live with us? (A) For the ADVANCEMENT, if there is the proper balancing in all, better together. For the conditions that exist in the mental relationships of others, better as it is in the present.
816-3 Page 9
40. (Q) In the vacation season, should I seek rest and recreation in some quiet place, or would travel from place to place be preferable? (A) The seeking of rest in one place for study, meditation, and - most of all - as thou hast naturally studied and do naturally study others - study self; not only as to what others are due thee, but what thou art due to thy fellow man. Remember ever, as He has given, the questions that must be thine own self. Remember, each soul must oft stand and watch itself pass by. It oft must meet its own self and that it has meted to its fellow man. Or, as He has given, "As ye do it unto the least of these, my brethren, ye do it unto me." Hence in thy meditation and thy rest, seek the recreations in those surroundings that are close to water and sands and hills and dales, and those things that deal with waters; for there may come an awakening that will indeed make thy experience worth while.
