Time of Reading 4:15 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Conn. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [838].

2. The conditions, the tendencies as we find with this body, are those that have been and are just averting a DROPSICAL condition in this system.

3. These, as we find, are the conditions in this body, [838] we are speaking of:

4. In the BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this below the normal in the respects that the vitality is used in the blood supply before the proper distribution of its energies is carried throughout the system. For we have irritations in the pelvis and in the lumbar areas that disturb the locomotions through those changes that have come about, through those tendencies for adhesions and lesions in the system. These make for a very poor circulation, then, in the extremities, both arms and lower limbs; and at times a very nervous reaction, with a tendency for a reddening of the skin even in portions of the body - as in the face and in the chin and those conditions around the eyes. These are as the attempts of the body, through this impoverishment and through those pressures that are existent, to adjust itself to the conditions. And hence, calling upon the lymph circulation so strongly in the body, there becomes rather the condition of the accumulations or the plethora conditions in lymph pockets and places about the body, or system.

5. The NERVOUS SYSTEM, as indicated, is very much exercised at times, which causes periods of anxiety, irritations, headaches, numbness in feet and lower limbs, whole tendencies in the body, through especially the left portion of the same to become tingling or drawing in portions of same - as it were.

6. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, the basis or the causes are the conditions where we have had lesions in the pelvic organs, that - overexercising the activities in same - produce this accumulation of lymph pockets; thus causing these pressures more and more, upsetting the

838-1 Page 2

digestive system, making for irregularity through the heart's activity, making for keen pains at times through the whole torso of the body.

7. As we find, then, in meeting the needs of the conditions of this body:

8. We would first prepare the activities from the Wet Cell applications that would carry the low electrical vibrations directly through the body. This would be the plain Wet Cell Battery, you see, and not carrying a solution in the first. It would be attached as follows: The first anode or smaller plate would be to the 4th lumbar. The larger plate would be attached to the puba bone. This we would use for thirty minutes each day.

9. Also we would have an oil rub, with a combination prepared in this manner:

10. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil as the base, add: Oil of Sassafras..............1 dram, Oil of Cedar Wood.............1 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen............1 ounce, Tincture of Benzoin...........1 ounce, Oil of Pine Needles...........1 ounce. These will tend to separate in solution. When ready to use, after the use of the battery in the evening, we would massage this especially into the lumbar and sacral area tending to carry towards the central portion or to the 9th dorsal. THEN rub from the base of the brain to the 9th dorsal. Then rub all down the limbs, and especially in the groin and down to the toes themselves.

11. We would be mindful of the diet that this is rather, of an alkalin-reacting nature. While body-building in many ways and manners, this should be more alkalin. This would be as an outline, though it may be altered somewhat:

12. Mornings - citrus fruit juices combining orange and the lemon juice (when this is used), three of the orange to one part of the lemon. The juices or the pulp and juice of grapefruit, pineapple. Any of these may be combined. Use also at the same time the yolk of eggs, or rice cakes, or browned rye bread; or stewed fruits, or the like. Cereals may be taken at times, but do not take cereals and the citrus fruit at the same meal. We would find it well to take at least twice or three times a week for breakfast the cracked or rolled WHOLE WHEAT; this not cooked too much, but cooked rather in steam, that there may be preserved all of the vitamins. And DO NOT cook in ALUMINUM!

13. Noons - beef broth or beef JUICE. Not too much of

838-1 Page 3

grease, but take the fresh diced beef and put in a container and take only the juice that comes from it being cooked inside a glass container in the hot water for two or two and a half hours. Very little seasoning, but take this as medicine - it will make for strengthening to the body, and will be very well to be taken with Graham or whole wheat crackers as a portion of the noon meal; which would be principally of raw fresh vegetables - such as tomatoes, lettuce, celery, peppers, radish, carrots, spinach, mustard, onions, beets and the like (or beet tops, not so much of the beets themselves unless partially cooked).

14. Evenings - well-cooked leafy vegetables. Not a great quantity of meats; though when meats are taken we would have only fish, fowl or lamb.

15. These kept consistently and persistently, we should bring a much nearer normal condition for this body.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) What exercise should the body take? (A) In the beginning not a great deal, except that as much in the open as may be possible. The ultra-violet light or the rays of the sun, or those in the solarium that may be had by the body, these are very good. Then, as the improvements come, gradually there may be the greater exercises.

18. We are through with this reading. Copy to Husband " " Mr. [257] " " Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed] to The Reilly Service, with specifications for the Wet Cell Battery required. The ingredients for the massage may be purchased separately and added together in the proportion and order named. The list of Alkalin-Reacting Foods [which was enclosed] may be of help, as it seems her principal diet should consist of such foods, in cooperation with diet outline given in body of reading. Also see enclosed directions [which were enclosed] for preparing pure beef juice. If everything is not clear, let us know. GD.)
