Time of Reading 3:15 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [841].
2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body. These, as we find, have to do with or arise in their inception from psychological and pathological conditions also. These are the effects of the application of self in its broader sense in those conditions that do affect, have affected, the physical body in that which may have been given, which was given, that all must come to know the Lord is in His holy heaven; and that if they who seek or labor are not directed by Him, they seek or labor in vain.
3. In the physical forces as from the pathological effects that are produced, we find these conditions existent. To be sure, we find the body depleted in vitality, in those forces and elements that make for the elan vitale in the blood supply as to give those vigorous activities that are necessary for the full force of the body to be active. These arise from those attempts to eradicate those sources of infectious forces that have hindered the activities of the sensory forces to respond in a normal way and manner to the coordination with the cerebrospinal forces, that are reflected and activative through the vision itself.
4. These infectious forces, as we find, arise from conditions (in the pathological effect) in the nasal, sinus and the passages about or into the head here, as related to the circulatory forces to the optic nerve force itself. These, as we find, are NOT deadened but are lacking in sufficient nutriment through the impulses of the circulation to carry that necessary to supply in the nerve energies of the optics, or through the optic nerve and its branches, that sufficient to make for the proper reaction in the vision. These have their inception in the coordinating of those centers where the optic forces or optic nerves find
841-1 Page 2
their branches from the cerebrospinal centers, especially in the 1st and 2nd, the 3rd and 4th cervical. These are the centers where this reaction to those branches from the infectious force in the soft tissue in nasal passage and face has produced, has caused, an improper reaction; or has prevented the proper reaction to this portion of the body.
5. As we find, these may be materially aided. This would bring about a great deal of change, of course. There must be carried through, though, with same, that within self; not of self, but as the life itself, the gift and the purpose of that same to be used in those measures and manners in which it may bring to those whom the entity, the body has depended upon, that ability for the body itself to be depended upon. For as it has been dependent upon others, so may others depend upon it, that the love of the Father which is promised in Him may be shed abroad in the earth.
6. We would use, then, the heat that may be applied in those passages in the head, through the nasal, through the soft tissue of the face. This would be the manner in which these could be, would be, renewed for their activity; provided there are also those stimulations in those areas indicated, and the body and blood building forces kept for the purifying of same. We would find the diets as indicated are well, save WE would add the ultra-violet ray over portions of the body to insure that those activities of the vitamines are created in the blood supply to keep same cleansed. And these would bring, as we would find, not only helpful but a near total restoration for this body of those faculties in the physical body itself.
7. Keep, then, as this:
8. Apply the Elliott application for the sinus, for the soft tissue, in such measures - which would require two to three times each week for same. And between those periods we would stimulate in a gentle massage along the upper dorsal, through the cervical area.
9. Keep as much as possible of the strength rebuilding in the body through the applications of the proper digestive forces being kept.
10. And pray oft. And know that as there is brought into thine activity the results, these must be purposeful in their relationships to thy fellow man.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Just when and how often should the ultra-violet be applied? (A) As we find, these rays would be applied at those periods, or between those periods when the heat to the face and to the soft tissue has been used to cleanse same; or about twice each week, applied to the cerebrospinal system;
841-1 Page 3
of course keeping all the body - rather the eyes and head - shaded at such times. This would be for two and a half to three minutes, unless the body is allowed to be gradually more in the sun.
13. (Q) Please give a diet. (A) That which has been outlined is well. The more of those things, as we find, though, that make for the carrying of sunshine within will be the greater CONSTRUCTIVE forces in the system; as those that have been indicated. But we would make for more strengthening. This would be as an outline, though - to be sure - it may be altered: A citrus fruit diet well balanced with the vitamins of the cod liver oil in its BETTER elements, you see, or that of the sturgeon [?] oil. Beef juices WITHOUT the meats themselves. Nuts. Raw vegetables. Whole or cracked wheat; not cooked so as to destroy the forces. These are the better, as we find.
14. (Q) Will a moderate amount of smoking be injurious? (A) No.
15. (Q) Shall I use hot or cold applications on eyes? (A) As we find, there is needed the hot applications; not so much on eyes as on the soft tissues in the face, and as from the tubes; and as from the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, where the branches from the cerebrospinal system branch to the sympathetic nerves to the optic forces. It is understood, to be sure, that the optic nerve itself comes directly from the brain, you see. But there are those branches from the 3rd and 4th and the 2nd dorsal, the 3rd and 4th and 5th cervical, where these branches come to the sympathetic system. And HERE we find, as well as from those infectious forces that have arisen in the soft tissue, the seat of that which disturbs the body.
16. (Q) Is this climate bad for me? (A) At the present, to be sure, and under the existent conditions, these are the BETTER; as we find, though, there may be periods when the more sunshine is much preferable.
17. (Q) If possible, will you please suggest the name of a doctor who can carry out your instructions? (A) Shorell.
18. (Q) What type of massage should be given? (A) That to relax those portions and the heat, as indicated.
19. (Q) Please give the thought for the body to hold for self. (A) "Let there be created in me, O Father-God, that which will make me more and more aware of Thy love for Thy children in the earth. Use Thou my life in such a way that
841-1 Page 4
I may be a greater and better channel for manifesting Thy love in the earth."
