Time of Reading 2:15 to 2:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.C. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions that disturb the body, [843].
2. As we find, there are many contributing factors that prevent the better functioning of the physical forces. These have to do with the manner of assimilation and eliminations in the system, affecting the nervous forces of the body, disturbing the organs in their activity.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [843] we are speaking of:
4. In the BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find low in vitality, low in resistances. Hence there is a constant calling upon the red blood cells and the elan vitale for the necessary elements and influences to keep the coagulating forces. Hence we have a reduction in the red blood and at times the excess in the white. Not anemia, yet anemic in its reaction in portions of the system. For it produces or causes other portions, in the strength and resistance, to be called upon to supply the necessary influences for the carrying on in the activities of the body.
5. In the NERVE FORCES we find, these are under a general mental strain as well as the reduction in the energies that make for the tendency for the general nervous reaction, nervous depression at times, worriments as respecting itself as well as the physical forces and those conditions about the body. Those activities in this association make for a contribution to the general worriment of the body and bring on those reactions where the body suffers physically as well as mentally excruciating pains in those areas where the distresses are shown.
6. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, here we find in those activities of the stomach itself and the digestive forces in same, in the pyloric portion of the stomach, a thickening of the walls of the stomach itself. There has been the tendency for some time for the stomach to be tipped
843-1 Page 2
in such a manner that first it began to produce the congestion there, or fermentations without the proper gastric flow to produce proper digestion. At times we have the burning sensations as from more of lacerations than ulcerations, though there have been those periods when there have been ulcerations in portions of the stomach itself. This has made for a thinning of the walls, naturally, of the activity in the duodenum, and in bringing about the proper digestive fluids. This in turn makes for the acidity in the lower portion of the body, producing those tendencies for constipation, temperature at times, those activities that have made for the lack of the gall duct and bile activity to secrete with the system. These tend to make for the strains upon the general vitality of the whole body.
7. These, as we find, are the greater disturbing factors in the physical forces of the body. With the general rundown condition, we find the whole of the respiratory system finds disturbance but no organic disturbance open. As we find in the eliminating forces, as the secretions necessary for the production of the peristaltic movement through the lower portion of the stomach itself, these make for temperature in the system, and tend to make for the constipations to produce irritations in the intestinal tract itself. Yet these, as we find, if they are cleared will gradually allow the system to build back to near NORMALCY for the body.
8. Then, in bringing about the corrections, as we find, these would be the direct measures to pursue for the bringing about of near normalcy:
9. First we would have prepared the Wet Cell Battery activity. This we would have in the plain, and the first attachment would be the copper anode between the 3rd and 4th dorsal - or the direct centers with the stomach itself; and the larger or nickel plate would be attached last, over that portion where there is the pain - which is just below the sternum and towards the liver area. This we would use each day for fifteen to twenty minutes; not longer - fifteen to twenty minutes. Longer will upset the system and produce too great an activity through the body.
10. Do not take ANY water unless it carries in same either the elm or the Saffron. The elm would be made just a few minutes before it is taken. The Saffron may be made and kept. A gallon or so may be made at a time, provided it is kept where it is cool or sufficient to prevent the bringing about of fermentation. This would be in the proportion of a heaping teaspoonful of the Saffron (American Saffron may be used) to a gallon of water. This should be allowed to steep as would tea, for thirty minutes to an hour. Strain and set
843-1 Page 3
aside in a cool place. This would be taken in the place of the regular water.
11. Very small doses of Olive Oil would be well to be taken. This should betaken often. Very small doses, meaning three to four drops to five drops at a time, not more than that. That is just enough to produce those activities in the gastric flow along throughout the aesophagus and through the upper portion of the stomach, so that the activities with same will make for the enlivening or a food to the walls of the digestive force and system itself.
12. We would take also the Animated Ash. This would be taken in the SMALLER doses; not taken except loose on the tongue and washed down with water. When this is used with the water, use the elm water, which is in the proportion of a pinch between the thumb and forefinger in a glass of water, stirred in for ten to fifteen minutes before it is to be taken. This would be taken three or four times each week, preferably just before retiring.
13. In the matter of the diet be very mindful. This is an outline for a diet:
14. Mornings - citrus fruit juices, oranges with a little lemon with same; grapefruit juice or the grapefruit or fruit itself; pineapple juice. Coddled egg, using only the yolk. Whole wheat browned bread. These would be preferable for the morning meal. Or there may be taken the Maltex as a cereal. But do not take cereals with citrus fruit juices, or these at the same meals.
15. In between the morning and noon meals, in the middle of the morning, we would take a glass of malted milk, preferably with a raw egg yolk (only the yolk) in same, beat into same. A little of spirits frumenti may be added, but a very small quantity just to make for the strengthening to the body.
16. Noons - only a gluten, as of rice boiled clear (and this preferably the brown rice, or cut rice). This may be used with a gravy, provided it is not too heavy or with too much grease; or, more preferably, use with butter alone. The fruits should be preferably taken at this meal. Not apples, but such as plums, peaches, pears or the like - any of these may be taken at this meal - with the gluten, which may be of the rice or of the cracked wheat that might be cooked and used for same. These are adding the strength and the vitality.
17. In the middle of the afternoon we would have a tablespoonful, taken in very small sips, of beef juice. This is to strengthen the body, and is easily assimilated.
18. Evenings - vegetables and small quantity of meats, as
843-1 Page 4
lamb or fowl or wild game, but none of the vegetables should be cooked other than in their OWN juices - or cooked in Patapar paper, you see, that the salts and the juices of same my be retained for the vegetables.
19. These, as we find, if they are followed will bring to this body, [843], a near NORMAL condition.
20. When it becomes necessary, owing to the tendencies for the constipation use the high enemas rather than cathartics that tend to create an excitement to the gastric flow of any of the organs or systems themselves. This would not be necessary except when the treatments are first begun; for it will not be necessary when there is gained the normal balance in the diet and in the activity.
21. Keep in the open as much as possible. The sunshine is well, but not too long at a time; in the air, but not in night air. Higher altitudes are more preferable to the body in the present condition, though the salt or the sea or the lower altitudes - when there has been gained the more of the vital strength of the body - will be found to be preferable.
22. Ready for questions.
23. (Q) Should the fruit at the noon meal be cooked or raw? (A) It may be raw or preserved, just so it is not preserved in benzoate of soda. Libby's is alright.
24. (Q) What should the dosage of the Ash be? (A) One-eighth.
25. (Q) This three times a week? (A) The Ash - Animated Ash - three times a week.
26. (Q) Why do some foods, especially eggs, affect my heart action and cause such a raw feeling? (A) They do not assimilate with the system on account of the quantities of the fluids in the white of the egg. The yolk will NOT work the same way.
27. (Q) Did I have a pulmonary tuberculosis condition about 1911 to 1917? (A) There are indications that there have been disturbances, as indicated, but these are closed in the present.
28. (Q) Would a change in climate from Asheville, N.C., to Washington, D.C., at this time be detrimental to my health on account of that? (A) After three to six weeks we would change; would be much preferable if these are followed as indicated.
29. (Q) Would it be wise to come to Washington to take the treatments as indicated? (A) As indicated, in the present surroundings would be best for the beginning of the treatments.
30. (Q) Is the lack of understanding between my wife and
843-1 Page 5
myself affecting my physical condition? (A) Sympathetically, yes. But the condition causes a great deal of the misunderstanding.
31. (Q) Is it best for me under the present conditions to live with her or should I get a divorce? (A) This must be determined within self. While, with the body-physical well, there will be quite a different outlook either to this woman or any other.
32. (Q) Please give any other advice which would aid me at this time? (A) First we would give: Know in self that there CAN be and will be that created necessary to create for the better balance in the physical forces of the body, allowing the spiritual and mental to function the nearer normal. If the body will determine within self that self and self's abilities are to be used in a more constructive way and manner, as to be a channel or manifestation of the spiritual influences which may be shown through the activities of self, then work at it!
33. (Q) Did I have an injury in childhood which is affecting me now? (A) As we find, very little; though the position of the stomach - as indicated - has been for some eighteen to twenty years. Do as we have outlined, and we will bring the better conditions for this body.
34. We are through for the present.
