Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body and enquiring-soul mind, together with those with whom she is associated in the home, especially her husband [1439] of ..., Va., and the relations and conditions surrounding them. You will advise her at this time for the physical, mental and spiritual development of all concerned, especially in regard to her domestic relationships, and answer the questions she submits as I ask them.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind; those conditions mentally and physically; those activities in the relationships with those in the home, those activities about same.
2. First, as we find, there must be at this time the due consideration given as respecting the own physical and mental experiences.
3. True, an individual, a soul, must become less and less of self - or thoughts of self; yet when those activities of others in RELATIONSHIPS to the mental, the spiritual, the SOUL developments, are such that the own soul development an own soul expression becomes in jeopardy, then - as He hath given, "I came not to bring peace but a sword. I came to give peace, not as the world counts peace," but as that which makes for those experiences wherein the soul, the entity, is to FULFILL those purposes, those activities, for which it - the soul-entity - came into being.
4. And when those relationships about same have been and are such that those conditions arise wherein there is the lack of harmonious effects that are possible, then as He hath given, put at naught those experiences, those influences. Let them be rather as they were not.
5. If there arises in the experience of self that which would become continuous as those upon which the entity would look back, in which the entity would think and think and worry, then continue - for the end is not yet.
6. But when there have been all of those experiences, all of
845-4 Page 2
those attempts, and there is still NAUGHT, then the jeopardy of self, of self-expression, of self-activity, as related with Creative Forces becomes as He hath given a division.
7. In the physical forces of the body there needs be REST, there needs be relief from PHYSICAL, MENTAL anxieties. For these continue in the present to make for that influence wherein the very vitality, the very life existence is being put into that position of where there is the rebellion between the spiritual, the mental, the material and the mental; and these make for such physical anxieties between the material forces and the soul forces that they rebel one with another.
8. Hence there come those injunctions as of old, "There is today set before thee good and evil, life and death - choose thou."
9. For He, thy example, thy mediator - yea, thy mentor is life, the father of life, the giver of peace, the giver of harmony.
10. These then are as conditions in all the relationships, in the home, in the associations, in the domestic relations, in the activities. Whatever thy choice is, let these be ever with an eye single to service to that living influence of being a better, a greater channel of blessings to someone.
11. Not of self-choosing an easier way; not of self attempting to escape that as is necessary for thine own understanding, thine own soul development; but rather ever, "Thy will, O Lord, be done in and through me - Use me as Thou seest I have need of, that I may be a LIVING example of thy love, of thy guidance in this material experience."
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Am I making any progress in working out the conditions which were caused between my husband and I in the Persian-Arabian period? (A) These have been helpful in self and in making for the greater opportunities for the greater service, that the changes as come may be of such natures that what thou chooseth to do may make for those periods of expression in a manner that will make for those forces that will bring development for both.
14. (Q) Is he making any progress? (A) As man seeth, no. As looked on from the experience from the soul forces, yes.
15. (Q) Would a separation of any sort be of help? (A) This must be a choice within self. Self's own development is in jeopardy. Choose thou.
845-4 Page 3
As WE would find, it would be helpful for a separation.
16. (Q) Am I being someone's strength? (A) A strength to his development, and the realization may come the greater by the separation.
17. (Q) Is there any way whereby he can be made to realize the harm he has caused by his activities? (A) As has been indicated, as has been given oft, this may only come from within. And the DESIRE for help, the DESIRE for aid must be within self. The body upon the own resources, upon its own undertakings, though it may suddenly bring the separation from the experience yet in the main, in the REAL forces - an undertaking.
18. (Q) Was anything wrong with the prescription to prevent his appetite for alcohol, or did his will force overcome the effect of same? (A) Will power overcame. For this only sets at naught the desire; and those associations, influences of 'What will people say?' produced the activity to disregard those influences created by same. If there is the desire, there may be added those properties again that are known as the Gold Cure. This will aid, but it will NOT prevent from the breaking through. That is, taking Chloride of Gold; one minim the first two days, two minims for two days, three minims for two days; then discontinue for two days and begin again. And by the end of the second round it will make him very sick; but it still may be overcome by will - but very ill to undertake for the first one or two periods.
19. (Q) Should I try the prescription again? (A) Try this.
20. (Q) How may I get him to stop long enough to get it in him? (A) Just give this in water when this is asked for; if this is desired to be undertaken.
21. (Q) For the best interests of all concerned, would it be wise to commit my husband to an institution for correction? (A) This is the same as may be given in any of the better institutions. This may only be done through persuasion, but make the choice rather that this is as a last attempt to aid. Give those as just indicated. In the quieter moments make this rather as the last stand.
22. (Q) What kind of work or activity could I get him interested in that would help him? (A) There must be some changes from within for the desire to be not only good - at ANY of those problems or those
845-4 Page 4
activities that he is well fitted for - but to be good for something for OTHERS rather than his own appetites. These must be created first.
23. (Q) Has the change already taken-place in my residence as referred to in my Life reading, [845-1, Par. 30-A?] or is it yet to come? (A) Will be yet to come, and depends - to be sure - as has been indicated - upon the changes.
24. (Q) What was the cause and purpose for my niece, [2501], and her family coming to live with me at the time she did? [12/31/38 [845] obtained a Life reading for her great niece, baby daughter of [2501]. See 1775-1, Par. 47-A, 48-A in re their past relationship. 9/2/61 [845] phoned GD about birth of great niece's [1775]'s baby daughter being named for her, [845].] (A) That there may be the completing of those more perfect understandings, as has been given from the Persian experiences where so many rejections and so much of self and so much of activity there is to be met. For each soul, each entity, CONSTANTLY meets self. And if each soul would but understand, those hardships which are accredited much to others are caused most by self. KNOW that in those you are meeting THYSELF! All of these things then, in associations, in relationships that come about - let it be even as He gave, "How oft would I (as He gave) have gathered thy children, even as a hen gathereth her chickens, and ye WOULD NOT!" When He that is the Maker, the Creator of all, the Giver of Life, can make, does make such an example of His own experience, when He hath come into the earth for the PURPOSE of preparing a way, how little then doth it appear to us who are as His - seeking His ways! Could we but realize then, He hath given, "Not of thyself may ye meet these, but I will be WITH thee; I will come and sup WITH thee." In this then, and in this way and in meeting these experiences, not that there is any other way or manner but self must meet self. And it can only be met in LIFE - in Him! For He is Life, Light and Immortality. Our wills, then, are ever as those influences that wield the influence. What is wisdom, what is knowledge, what is understanding? Love the Lord, keep His ways; for this is knowledge, this is understanding, this is wisdom. [See 5/46 letter under 845-9 Reports regarding A.R.E. Study Group for

little children she conducted during the period her niece [2501] and family were living with her - year 1938.]
25. (Q) Is the craving for alcohol by [1439] an organic condition, or is he possessed? [9/6/37 She obtained a Physical reading for him. See 1439-1. The second Physical reading, 1439-2 was given on 12/21/37.] (A) An organic disturbance is merely a possession when it has reached the nth degree as to be possession. And hence, as has been indicated, oft such - when there is the perfect understanding that the reliance can be only in truth and life - will either break or separate.
26. (Q) What change can I make that will help me financially meet my obligations? (A) Be patient, keep in the way and in the faith. And those things that are necessary are added unto thee. For the earth is the Lord's and the fullness there. Keep the faith. This is sufficient, this is thy supply, this is thy way.
27. (Q) Should I break up housekeeping, board, or share expenses with those now in my household? (A) This would depend upon the choices that are made. Remember, you are meeting self. In whatever choice is made, face the issues in thine own life, in those with whom you may be associated. For those problems that are thy problems are others' problems. Meet them as is befitting that as is SHOWN thee in thine inner self. Loneliness is destructive, yet in HIM ye may find companionship.
