Time of Reading 10:05 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will have before you the bodies and enquiring minds of [622] at ... and [845], his sister, at the ..., ..., Va.; together with the physical conditions and the present plan of building a home (sketch of floor plan which I hold) on [845]'s lots at Ocean View, and [845]'s ability as to handling her own affairs legally. You will go into these conditions thoroughly and give specific information and advice regarding same:
2. EC: Yes, we have the enquiring minds of [622] and [845], as respecting the proposition of erecting a home.
3. As we find, [845] is qualified legally to handle or to make contracts - as is [622].
4. As to the advisability of same - be very well if there is the assurance that there will not be hindrances owing to some conditions that exist in the priority. For, even now building materials are much less than they will be for the next eight years. So, the sooner this might be begun the better.
5. Activities would be advisable, then, in these directions, as we find:
6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) Legally, [845] cannot sell any real estate she might own without the signature of her estranged husband. What steps should she take regarding this? (A) Don't sell any of the property; but she is now legally qualified to.
8. (Q) Has [1439] gotten a Florida divorce? If so, elaborate and be specific as to how we can obtain legal proof? (A) Do you want this, or [845]'s conditions?
9. (Q) How will world conditions affect [622]'s position at the Naval ... Station? (A) This will be a condition to be reckoned with, but should have nothing to do with the building - if it is advisable or desirable by the body in the present.
10. (Q) Would it be to [622]'s advantage to change his

present civil service status to that of Sick and Wounded Technician? Explain. (A) Not necessarily.
11. (Q) Is now the right time for us to tackle a home together? (A) As has been indicated - if you want to build in the next eight to ten years!
12. (Q) Is it well to have all business transactions carried out in [622]'s name at present? (A) Not necessarily. May be cooperative, or coordinated is the better.
13. (Q) From what source shall we obtain money for financing? Building & Loan? Straight loan? Give names and approach. (A) Be more easily obtained from Building & Loan, though this becomes rather excessive. But even at the present time if these are obtained from such of Government provisions for same, this will aid in giving priorities needed in the building.
14. (Q) Is it necessary to have Ocean View lots re-surveyed before building? (A) Unless they have been assured by the surveyor, or by those selling same, by all means have them surveyed.
15. (Q) Just where on the lots should we build the house? (A) This should be chosen by the individuals, not from here. These are material things.
16. (Q) What should the venture cost, and when will we be able to pay off obligation? (A) This depends upon just what the specifications are. They should be able to pay off in seven to eight years.
17. (Q) Are these O.K.? Construction: Joe Brown. Electrical work: J. O. Allen. Plumbing: [1003]? (A) These are very good.
18. (Q) White asbestos or wooden shingles for exterior? (A) The asbestos will be the easier to obtain.
19. (Q) For heating, if we use an oil circulator, shall it be one with vents flush with floor, or the furniture variety? (A) The furniture variety will be the more acceptable a little bit later, as they are in general use.
20. (Q) Please name a make that will be satisfactory and suitable. (A) These should be chosen by those installing same.
21. (Q) Any general suggestions regarding size and number of rooms, also appropriate finishes? Please give reasons. (A) This, too, should be according to the choices of those preparing same; according to what the purposes are and as to what they are to be as a part of the associations later, see?
22. (Q) Is idea of joint fund of approximately $60.00 per month sufficient to take care of the obligation we wish to assume?
845-7 Page 3
(A) More than take care of same.
23. (Q) If we don't build at this time - (A) (Interrupting) Very unlikely you'll ever! [Yrs. later Mrs. [845] and Mr. [416] built together a set of apts. and Mrs. [845] lived in one of them. Mr. [416] subsequently sold his share. When Mrs. [845] died 2/27/62 her will left her property to her young nephew, son of Mr. [622], her brother, who died on 5/7/58.]
24. (Q) What plans should [622] make regarding his living conditions? (A) Let him make his own plans - we wouldn't make 'em for him!
25. (Q) Regarding [845]'s physical condition, give cause and cure of the headache attacks and apparent acid condition noticeable on skin, particularly right foot. Also cause and cure of graying hair and brittle nails. (A) As we find, there exists a glandular disturbance, a quickened heart, and an acid condition through the colon area - with the resultant effects of same through the superficial and general circulation. As we find, we would have these: Take several series of osteopathic adjustments - but have them in groups of, say, three, and then a rest period of a week to ten days before the next three would be taken, and so on; with special reference to the lumbar and sacral and the upper dorsals and cervicals - these particularly. Also have prepared a tonic. Unless all of the tendency for rash has disappeared, and the headaches, when the first quantity has been taken, have it refilled and take the second quantity. Prepare it in this manner. To 2 ounces Distilled Water add a tablespoonful Strained Honey. Let come to a boil. Skim and then set off. When nearly cool, add - in the order named: Grain Alcohol.......................1 ounce, Fusion of Wild Ginseng..............1 pint. Which would be made in this manner: Secure an ounce of Wild Ginseng, pulverized, see. Use half the quantity and save the other half for the next batch, see? Then: Pour a pint of boiling water (Distilled Water) over the half ounce of Ginseng and let set where it would keep warm for at least four hours. Then strain and add this to the above solution,
845-7 Page 4
Wild Ginger (this may be bought), Essence of.....................1/4 ounce, Tincture of Valerian..............1/4 ounce. Without the Valerian it would be a very pleasant dose, but this changes it. The dose would be a teaspoonful of morning before any meal is taken, and a teaspoonful upon retiring.
