Time of Reading ... Avenue, 3:21 to 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes. Yes, we have the body here, [848], present in this room.
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of this body. These, as we find, have to do with the eliminations of the system and the effect that these produce upon the body, as well as the lack of functioning of glands in the system and their effect as combined with these other disturbances.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [848] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find shows the effect of a disturbed circulation produced by the non-elimination of poisons that are indicated in the effects created in portions of the body, as well as the lack of hormones in the blood itself from the lack of gland secretions in the system.
5. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find a suppression in the coordination between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal. This has been kept allayed by those activities within the system to produce suppression in a portion of the body, as well as to attempt to create for the body those functionings that have been lacking in the glands as related to the lymph glands in certain portions of the system; as the adrenal, pineal, and those activities with which all these have to do in the body's physical activity.
6. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, we find:
7. The throat, the bronchi, the lungs and the larynx, all at times show a poor circulation; though organically we find little or no disturbance with them save as in a sympathetic manner and a lack of the secretions proper to make for nominalcy in their functioning.
8. Heart's action not normal, but not organically disturbed; merely sympathetically and functionally.

9. In the digestive forces of the body, here we find there have been disturbances for some time. The tendency even through the position and the size of the stomach itself is below the normal. The activities as to the secretions and in the digestive forces, often very little satisfies the body in its appetites; yet at others there are the desires for food yet very little will satisfy, at others the whole body desires to eat - that is, the more the body desires to eat the less it appears to digest; and brings for the system then those headaches, heaviness, and the tendency for pains through various portions of the system.
10. In the transverse and descending colon we have an engorgement there, producing a prolapsus in the lower end. Hence in the left side just above the hip bone and just below the rib, we find there are those distressed areas that appear at times to contract or to draw. At others there is a heaviness across the whole of the abdominal area itself, bringing in its activity some nausea, some headaches and a dull, heaviness over the whole system.
11. In those reactions from the poisons we have in the extremities at times a heaviness, or pains that contract in the muscular forces of the system itself.
12. In bringing, then, for the body the better physical forces at this time, as we would find:
13. First we would make the applications of heavy oil packs over the left area of the stomach and the colon. We would also use with same, to keep these packs warm, heavy salt packs - dampen and keep warm so that not only the effect of the Castor Oil but the heavy salt reactions would be maintained with same. This we would use about two and a half or three hours each day for three days. Then we would take a high enema or a colonic irrigation. These will tend to weaken the body and produce some dizziness, but the body should rest during two or three days following same during which the enemas would be given to remove the pressures in that area.
14. The effects, too, that this has created in the organs of the pelvis themselves, in the tubes and the organs of the pelvis itself, will be relieved by the use of the salt packs themselves when the heaviness occurs. And use the enema hot; not a great deal above body temperature, but a hot enema - and these pressures will be relieved also.
15. Then we would have corrections osteopathically; not until after we have changed these whole conditions in the colon area would we have the manipulations. We will find many of the vertebrae, especially in the lower lumbar and in the upper dorsal, to be very taut. These will have to,
848-1 Page 3
naturally, be gradually relieved and would be more easily done if there were the applications of hot packs - wet hot packs - before adjustments are made; but make these WHERE the adjustments are made, and not before going for same, see?
16. In the matter of the diet we would keep close to a body and nerve and blood building, but as much towards an alkalin-reaction as possible. Have at least three days each week, or three meals each week, of either Valentine's juices of liver or liver broiled. Tripe and the like should be a portion of the diet to make for the greater and better body building and the better eliminations through the system.
17. Use as an assistant in the digestive area the Essence of Lactated Pepsin with small quantities of the Milk of Bismuth, taken after meals. There should be three to ten drops in ten to fifteen drops of the Milk of Bismuth, see?
18. Then we would take at least three times each week Milk of Magnesia. With the enemas, these should make for the eliminations.
19. The manipulations and adjustments should be for periods of two to three weeks, with a rest period of a week. These should be made some several times until the adjustments are made in the dorsal, lumbar and cervical area, to relax the body.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) How often should the enemas be given? (A) As indicated, the enemas would be taken every day for two to three days after the oil packs, see? The Oil Packs would be given two to three days first, see? Then the enemas. Then a rest period of a day or two, and then begin with the manipulations. After the first two to three weeks of manipulations, then we would during the rest period from same take the oil packs and the enemas again, see?
22. (Q) Can the enemas be taken by self? (A) If there will be used the colon tube, yes. Not too great a quantity at a time, for this will of necessity - as indicated - require that the colon in this area be cleansed and that the pressure be removed from the organs of the pelvis, especially in the left side, if we will bring these things to pass in the body. Keep the mental attitude in a constructive manner, and know that these are being applied for the material benefit that the mental and physical body may function the more normal. Thus we will bring the better forces for this body.
23. We are through for the present.
