Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [849]; this we have had before.

3. New environs, new surroundings, and as yet not acclimated to same, is causing some undue disturbances to the body.

4. As we find, if there are the proper precautions taken, and the full exercises that have been indicated, the body will soon adjust itself to these variations.

5. There needs to be as much of the massage as is practical to be had. This aids in keeping a better circulation.

6. For the disturbance or discharge in the soft tissue of face and throat - under the direction of a physician we would have prepared a spray - Ichthyol Spray. Use this in a deVilbis type of spray, once or twice a day. Get rid of the discharge, of course, but don't strain self in either the throat or the nasal passages.

7. Use this, of course, in addition to the inhalant. While the inhalant will tend to dry, and the spray will tend to soften, these should eliminate the chances of infectious forces by inhalation or the settling of greater disturbances; though we will find that at times the throat as well as the face and antrums and the soft tissue will be inflamed. But these should soon dissipate these disturbances, if the Epsom Salts Packs are used occasionally on portions of the body - through the chest, neck, back, arms, limbs and the like; and the rubs are kept up.

8. Keep up the rest of the applications that have been given for the body.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) As the massage isn't so good, could I take as a substitute the Epsom Baths in the tub, say once a week? (A) These may not be taken as a substitute. Of course, the Epsom Baths will be WELL, if it is able to obtain same. But these will not prove a substitute for the massages.

If impractical to have the massages, or when it is impossible to get them, DO have the treatment with the electrically driven vibrator; using both the sponge and the suction or cup applicator - along the spine and over portions of the limbs and the body. This would be preferable as a substitute for the massages, though use the local packs and the baths when possible and practical. Take the time when giving the vibrator, to give a good, thorough treatment - at least every other day, every day if practical.

11. (Q) Any advice regarding diet now? (A) Just keep a well balance, so that the eliminations and all are kept daily.
