Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Body and enquiring mind, at his desk in the Claim Section, ..., Washington, D.C., who seeks information on cache and its location; electronic locator; mental and spiritual processes; appointment to attorney position; and commission on Harrison Lake Timber deal. You will ans. the ques. he has submitted, as I ask them:)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [853] - this we have had before.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) How may I best prepare self for meditation and then turn within, as previously given, to locate buried treasure to aid those that would assist from beyond and aid me in recalling and seeing places and positions of cache? (A) Study first those associations of what the mental mind is, and how the mental mind (that is, the mind of the body) may be attuned with the Infinite or to the soul mind. For they are - as Life - one and the same; not as sections, but as an awareness, as a remembrance, as an activity. And entering into meditation (as we have given in the pamphlet on Meditation) one then submerges the physical consciousness and allows an attunement; as an acoustic instrument would be, as a recalling to mind would be; so that there is then opened for the self the remembrance. As has been given for this entity, such an attunement or such an awareness becomes most in accord in dream; for then there is the submerging of the physical consciousness and the desires of same; and if there is the meditating it brings better attunement with less of what may be termed as an interference of conscious forces, conscious influences. Hence, as has been given, if this will be practised or applied in the experience, the remembrance should come.

4. (Q) What is the name of the channel that is close to the buried treasure and into which Goddom's Bottom (as previously given) empties? (A) (Interrupting, before question was finished) Such questions, as we have given, should be answered from within. Rather than seeking through other sources, there should be made an attempt in self. For as this is a portion of the self, self may attune to place, position, the changes, the names, the channels, more in accord with self-application and self-development than by same being given from other sources. For the very asking - when it is a portion of self - blocks the vision.
5. (Q) Is the site known as the "Old Navy Yard" near Magazine Spring at Halifax, N.C., a part of Goddom's Bottom? (A) This again, as has been given, should be found by self. While it is - this should be rather an experience of the entity; else there come interferences that would hinder.
6. (Q) Is the new G & R Radio Metal Locator made by the Radio Metal Locating Co., Cleveland, Ohio, the proper equipment for locating cache? (A) This we do not find as efficient as the English type, as has been indicated. While this works somewhat similarly, as we find it is not as efficacious or as efficient in its activity.
7. (Q) Is the treasure mentioned in previous Readings the same as that of which "Old Billie," the slave, told my grandfather, [...]? (A) As has been given, it is a portion of the same.
8. (Q) Am I the entity who appeared to "Old Billie" commanding him to unearth it? (A) This depends upon what is called "entity" - in that respect. Not this physical being, but the entity as a whole - yes.
9. (Q) Please describe fully what experience I had in the breaking down of the activities between the North and the South, as previously indicated, and how I can use this to aid me in writing. (A) This should be studied or approached from a different source, a different self, or a different activity. While to be sure all the activities of an entity are as one, we do not find an entity - in maintaining or gaining an understanding of conditions, things or experiences even sought - attempting to write with a lead pencil, an indelible pencil, pen and ink or the various shades of same all at once. This becomes confusing, and leaves for an individual signs, omens, conditions that confuse rather than

those that make for explanatory conditions. The approach to those activities may be given, if the others want to be left out; but the choice must be made.
10. (Q) [GC continuing with questions listed; not wishing to go into the matter from that approach alone and leave the other questions unanswered, unless [853] were present and expressed his desire to.] What was it that I frequently felt impelled to do between my bungalow in ..., N.C., and my office, which action would solve all my problems, and which I have recently felt urged to do, but could never bring into consciousness? (A) This is an example of the very nature in which the switching from one period to another in the approach becomes confusing. The impelling force arose from that innate desire for soul development; as right and wrong warring one with another.
11. (Q) Do I actually leave my body at times, as has been indicated, and go to different places? (A) You do.
12. (Q) For what purpose, and how can I develop and use this power constructively? (A) Just as has been given as to how to enter into meditation. Each and every soul leaves the body as it rests in sleep. As to how this may be used constructively - this would be like answering how could one use one's voice for constructive purposes. It is of a same or of a similar import, you see; that is, it is a faculty, it is an experience, it is a development of the self as related to spiritual things, material things, mental things. Then as to the application of self in those directions for a development of same - it depends upon what is the purpose, what is the desire. Is it purely material? Is it in that attitude, "If or when I am in such and such a position I can perform this or that"? If so, then such expressions are only excuses within self - in any phase of an experience. For as He has given, it is here a little, there a little - Use that you have in hand today, NOW, and when your abilities and activities are such that you may be entrusted with other faculties, other developments, other experiences, they are a part of self. As to how it may be used: Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed of that you think, of that

you do, or of your acts; keeping self unspotted from your own consciousness of your ideal; having the courage to dare to do that you know is in keeping with God's will.
13. (Q) What are the next steps I should take to be appointed attorney in the Legal Division of the Internal Revenue as indicated in previous Readings? (A) These naturally have to come through their regular channels; but keep the idea, keep the position open through those channels that are used as the means for the representation in the varied activities of the process or the departments.
14. (Q) Whom should I contact to get appointment? (A) Those in charge of the giving of appointments - such appointments. They have their regular channels.
15. (Q) How and when did I turn down appointment for a better position as indicated? (A) When there was the indication that there was the possibility to be appointed to the Department of Justice.
16. (Q) Considering the attitude of Long and Crewe and Senator Bailey regarding commissions due us from Howard White on Harison Lake Timber deal, what should I do to collect these commissions before the right of recovery is barred by the Statute of Limitations? (A) As we have indicated, unless there can be used the pressure of what is just and right and in keeping with the promises made by these relative to the conditions that were laid down as the basis for a valid right to the commissions, then there is little that may be done - except to command or ask for same in the name of the justice that is a part of each individual's experience.
17. (Q) Has Mr. White already paid Long and Crewe and Senator Bailey any part of the commissions? (A) This question should be asked Senator Bailey!
18. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do the first things first; and know that as you keep in line with that which is constructive ever, then the gain mentally, materially, spiritually, may come.
