Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern War Time. Washington, D.C.

1. GC: You will have before you the entity, [853], at his desk in the bureau of ..., who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his life and work. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the enquiring mind, [853], this we have had before.

3. While many changes have come in the material environs, and in the associations and relations of the entity, we find that the keeping very close to those purposes spiritually, the ideals mentally and spiritually, the ideals mentally and spiritually that have been indicated, should bring the greater awareness to the individual for the conduct of his associations here and now.

4. Ready for questions.

5. (Q) Should I attempt to get the cache at this time? (A) If there has come those experiences that we have indicated should be a part of the entity's activity. That is the time when this should be attempted. This can best be answered, then, in self. Have there been the arrangements with owners of the land in the present, for satisfaction as would be agreeable to all? This all needs to be considered, to be sure. For the entity understands the legal status in varied states and communities respecting such; and these must be adhered to. Also, as indicated through these channels, there are those activities that may insure the material location and material success in the search for same. This, too, should be made a part of the consideration when actual search for cache is begun.

6. (Q) What steps should I now take to get it? (A) Read that above, as well as those suggestions that have heretofore been given. For, they should all make one complete activity, before the search is begun.

7. (Q) Is the cache buried near the sycamore tree which I saw on the bank of Roanoke River in Halifax County, in Nov. 1940. (A) This, as we have indicated, should be best determined by the personal experience AND the aid of the character of finder which has been indicated for the entity.

8. (Q) Should I buy the land on which it is locate, from the owner? (A) This, or some satisfactory arrangements concerning same should be definitely made or understood, or an agreement reached.

9. (Q) If bought, how much should it cost, and what reason should I give for buying it? (A) This should be determined by the body in agreement with owner. As an area, just what might be taken? Most of same is at many seasons not able to be cultivated, while at others it would be most valuable. There should be the determining within self, from the experience, as to whether this is a part of the experience to be met in this present sojourn, or is it a temptation that is not to be allowed to overrun better judgment or policies.

10. (Q) Where and how can I get the money to finance the entire operation? (A) THIS, as indicated before, should be the EXPERIENCE of the entity within itself.

11. (Q) Regarding my work - should I make further attempts to obtain a status as an attorney in Income Tax Division of Internal Revenue? (A) This as we find would be the most advisable course to pursue.

12. (Q) Where have I failed, and how can I correct this? (A) Only in meeting all the requirements necessary for receiving commission in such a way. Again make those attempts and carry them ALL the way through, in the examinations for such.

13. (Q) Whom should I contact who will help me? (A) This goes through the regular channels.

14. (Q) Would it be better for me to be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar, or to return to ... to practice law? (A) It might be well to return to Carolina, but not until after there is the meeting and overcoming of the emergencies that exist in the present. After that emergency, we find - if there is the choice to again enter practice, do so in the OWN home town - OR those adjoining same, as that equivalent to meeting its own County

needs.

15. (Q) Should I practice alone or go in with a partner; if so, whom? (A) This, and much of this, might depend upon what choices have been taken respecting other questions that have been approached. But as we find, alone is preferable - though an associate in the same office might be well, rather than partnership.

16. (Q) Does the Hopf violin which was given me when I was 4 years old, by Major [...], have any influence on my life? (A) This as we find depends upon what is called an influence. Not as a charm. As a sentiment, yes. This as we find, while not a rare instrument, is of more than ordinary worth; and through those channels - that is, those who seek for special instruments of given dates for those who are specially gifted in the use of such - there might be offers made that would aid the entity in meeting some special financial problems.

17. (Q) Would you advise selling? (A) As indicated, this is a case of sentiment. This depends upon what is the choice. It can be sold, and advantageously so far as the price is concerned.

18. (Q) Approximately what price should I ask for it? (A) Again, as indicated, this is a matter of appeal; whether it would sell for a thousand or five thousand would depend upon the appeal the instrument would make to the individual seeking same.

19. (Q) Please give any further advice which would help me to better serve at this time. (A) Know that the abilities, the possibilities, as well as opportunities, lie within thine own conscience and thine own self - as may be approached only through the spiritual purpose of the entity. Whether this applies to the spiritual, the mental or the material life, know that all is ONE. For, as the spirit is one, so should thy purpose in body, in mind, in soul be one.
