1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [859].

2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that have been and are gradually being builded in the system that are preventing - and will prevent - the better physical functioning of the body, unless eliminated or eradicated from the body.

3. These have to do particularly with the circulatory system, especially as related to the keeping of an equilibrium from the axis of the cerebrospinal system, as related to the manner in which the circulation in the hepatic forces of the system is disturbed.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [859] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. First, in the circulatory system we find this shows the tendency for the red blood supply to lose its equilibrium or its numbers at times. At others these improve somewhat; then we have those recurrent conditions of an influencing in the lacteal ducts and the gall duct area, with the kidney, that bring about a necessitating of increasing the flow or activity of the lymph and the white leucocyte forces of the body. These destroy again the vitality. Hence we are gradually building in this portion of the body about the gall duct and about those portions of the activities of the glands above the kidneys an inflammation, or a thickening, or a heaviness of the walls of the arterial circulation. This is because of the lack of the proper flow through same to prevent the heaviness gradually increasing in the system.

6. As to the nervous forces of the body, these show the indications of reactions owing to periods when there is the taxing of the nervous energies; others when the body feels tired from this particular heaviness across the area as indicated in the system; also those activities as to the

859-1 Page 2

slowing up of the heart's functioning as related to the nervous system, though it is not organic.

7. In the organs of the body, we find:

8. Brain forces are very good.

9. The impoverishment to the superficial circulation, owing to the heaviness in the deeper circulation, makes for some drying effect - as it were - to the ear; the burning sensations that occur around the eye; those changes or fullnesses that come in the throat, through the sense of the activity through the vocal reactions, to the general feelings as without through the sensory system. These are only of the nature that they are APPARENT at times with the body; and consequently they are a reflex condition, and with the clearing up of the system should make for a correction through these portions of the body that would be most effective.

10. Throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx - as indicated from those very conditions in the circulatory system, the lung forces ar not involved in the disorders - as it were; but there is a lack of the proper breathing through the lungs, or clarification of the blood supply through the oxidization of same, through the oxygen as taken into the blood forces of the body. Hence we have periods when there is a tendency for the shortness of breath; others when the body feels as if it must breathe deeper and deeper, and sighs - as it were - escape from the body. These are the effects of this sympathetic condition of the circulatory system being impoverished throughout the superficial and venous activities in their reflexes through the lungs to the carotid artery and the associations between same and the kidneys and liver, through the hepatic circulation.

11. In the activities of the heart itself, as indicated, these have shown periods of an unbalancing in the system in this direction; but sympathetic, not organic.

12. Digestive forces of the body, to be sure, suffer the more from those disorders in the lacteal duct area and the gall duct area to the hepatic disturbance, making for the tendency of the body in its activities as related to diets and the activities of the system to be rather mindful or careful of same, that there be kept a normal influence through the body itself.

13. In the hepatic circulation, or that between the liver and the kidneys, which - of course - is double to that of other portions of the body; this shows a slowing up, making - as it were - a cold AND hot hepatic circulation. That is, there are periods when there are influences felt as of flushes and fullnesses, and the reaction when these are also

859-1 Page 3

in the activity from the kidneys themselves - or as the activity of the gall duct itself in its secretion to those activities necessary for the assimilating of foods for the body; and also the activity from the pancreas and spleen. These are the areas where there are the distresses or the slowing up. Yet these arise, as indicated, from other conditions in the system. And these corrected - that is, those causing the condition, and the stimulation sufficient to the areas of distress - would make for bringing about a near normal force for this body.

14. Then, in making the applications, we would first give these:

15. In the coccyx end of the spine and in the 4th lumbar we will find there is the tendency for such closeness of the segments there as to prevent normal activity and as to cause a slowing up of the circulatory forces as related from the cerebrospinal system to the kidneys AND the liver. These need to be removed by the moving of the segments in such a way and manner as to make for better cartilaginous influences and forces in the lumbar and coccyx area; coordinating, to be sure, the upper cervical area with these movements that act through the hypogastric, the venous and the vagus activity about the throat itself, that makes for the activity of the circulation sympathetically; nerve and blood to the thyroids as will coordinate with the adrenals in the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system. These we would have osteopathically made; or chiropractically if they are made each day, chiropractically, by only pressure - not by the adjustment SEVERELY as some would make; but the pressure in the coccyx area, in the lumbar area, and the moving of same in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th cervical.

16. We would also have the packs of oil that would be had from three to four thicknesses of flannel dipped in hot Castor Oil, as hot as the body may stand same; placing same over the liver and the gall duct and the area about the lacteal ducts. This we would do about an hour, three or four times each week for two weeks.

17. If the osteopathic adjustments are made, make these about twice or three times a week, see?

18. In the matter of the diet, as has been indicated, this should consist more of the alkalin-reacting foods; such as:

19. Mornings - citrus fruit juices at least two or three times each week; the morning meal consisting almost entirely of these. Do not have cereals and citrus fruit juices at the same meal. The cereals should be preferably the cooked cereals for the next three or four weeks; as Maltex, or the whole wheat (that's cracked wheat) or the heart of wheat, or

859-1 Page 4

of such a nature. These may be taken preferably with sweetening as of honey, and the milk preferably should be the dry milk rather than canned. This would be the preferable manner in which to use these, or not too much of the cream of the cows' milk; provided same, of course, is treated for the proper activities for same.

20. Noons - preferably only raw vegetables. A salad may be combined with such as tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, celery, and of the green vegetables - as onions, radish, spinach, mustard, carrots, beets, turnips. These may all be combined. It is preferable that these be grated but the JUICES of same kept with same when eaten, see?

21. Evenings - vegetables cooked in their OWN salts, as in Patapar paper, or steamed done without too great a quantity of seasoning; except the seasoning be done while they are warm or just before they are prepared for the meal, with butter, salt and the like. And preferably use the culp or kelp (?) salt, rather than the ordinary salt. Cereal drinks are preferable. And at one evening meal two or three times a week we would have a portion of it consist of only browned bread or black bread or sour bread and red wine; these will make for strengthening and for the giving of vitality, if the other things are done.

22. In the eliminations use enemas in preference to cathartics. But if the manipulations are taken and the packs, we will find these will clarify themselves.

23. The three or four days when the oil packs are taken each day; then rest a period of a week or ten days, and then do this again. This must make for clarifying of these conditions, or we will have results later that will be very much more detrimental than they indicate in the present.

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) Is the present anus trouble likely to become malignant? and how can the weak sphincter be corrected? (A) These will be corrected by making of the corrections in the coccyx and the last lumbar center. These make for the inflow of the muscular forces that will make for the better activity with the sphincter muscles. If the blood supply and the correction of these conditions are kept in order, we do not find that the inflammation which has been indicated there will become malignant; for not only will it be clarified but be soon cleansed from the system.

26. (Q) Is the present sore spot on the forehead likely to become malignant? How can it be healed? (A) This is an effect of the circulatory forces as

859-1 Page 5

indicated as being the disturbance. For this inflammation use an ointment consisting of half an ounce of Iodex with six grains of Animated Ash worked well into same; and it will heal nominally, properly.

27. (Q) Does the present hernia require an operation? (A) This would not be best with the condition of the system in the present; for we have very poor healing properties in the blood supply, as indicated. When the body is better, or the blood supply, the normal eliminations and the normal activity for coagulations through the body, it would be much preferable to have the operation than to have to have the stress of the irritation by the using of a truss throughout the rest of the experience.

28. (Q) Will the treatment as recommended prevent the recurrent itchiness in the scalp and on the body? (A) These treatments will make for an equalizing of the circulation, of the metabolism and the katabolism of the body, and prevent this recurrence.

29. (Q) What can be done for the chronic constipation? (A) As has been indicated, change the diet to that outlined; and with the correction of the general activities of the system, this should be - and WILL be - materially aided. Feed the system at all times all the Olive Oil it will absorb, but in VERY small quantities. If it becomes rancid in the system, leave it off for a time; but do not take more than half a teaspoonful at any one period. Let this be taken, though, two, three, four, five, six or seven times a day; it will be alright, just so the body assimilates it. But have pure Olive Oil. This is a food for the mucous membranes of the whole intestinal tract, so long as it does not become counteractive to the gastric juices of the duodenum and the gall duct area itself, and assimilates same; for we will find it will act as a food value throughout the jejunum and colon itself. When enemas are to be taken for eliminations rather than cathartics, use the Olive Oil and the Russian White Oil - small quantities of same, and in the last use - without producing an irritation to the rectal region - an alkalin antiseptic, as in Glyco-Thymoline; a tablespoonful to a quart of lukewarm water.

30. (Q) Any other suggestions? (A) Do these, and - as we find - we will bring the better conditions for this body.

31. We are through for the present.
