Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ky. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [865].

2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body. These have to do with the eliminations and the changes that are naturally coming about in the physical forces of the body at this time.

3. The affectations, then, are to the nervous systems of the body and the reaction upon the physical organisms in their functioning.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [865] we are speaking of:

5. In the BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find the indications of the disturbances in the physical forces, as well as in the functioning organs and the lack of a normal or nominally equalized circulation, owing to the periods or the menopause being in the activities of the system. Hence we have periods of headaches, tiredness, the feet and lower limbs giving distress through overactivity or of being too quiet in some portions of the cycle of the activity. These are but the effects of the nervous disturbance and the attempts of the body to adjust itself to the changes in the activities of the system.

6. The blood supply itself is somewhat low in the necessary forces to make for a normalcy in supplying sufficient of the nutriment for the upbuilding. Hence we have, from this same disturbance, periods of the inability for proper rest, and those reactions that arise from same.

7. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM, or systems, do we find the greater affectation; though these are the effects of disturbances rather than being the basis or the cause of same. Yet in making applications for that which would be helpful or beneficial to the body at the time, these according to their effect and their affectation in the system should be or must

865-1 Page 2

be considered; especially as in relation to the organs that are showing the distresses in the physical forces of the body, those specifically in the lumbar and sacral area as well as their coordinant relationships in the solar plexus area, as well as in the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus as they cross in the upper cervical area, making for this dizziness that occurs in the attempts of the body to adjust itself, or those upsetting conditions that arise in the digestive area and in the assimilating forces of the body. Hence there must be considered, in making the applications, that which would make for not nullifying their activity, but as to coordinating same in and through their normal principles. So the application or the giving of medicinal properties would be not so beneficial as there would be in reaching same through the application of that which would cause the activity of the glands and of the organs themselves to produce a nearer normal balance in balancing themselves through the system.

8. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves:

9. Brain forces are very good. The discernments and the activity in choice are activative influences in the MENTAL experience of the body. While, with the nerve strain these make for irritable periods when those through the imaginative forces of the body, or those through the sensory organisms, becoming more specific in their activity, make for acuteness in the functioning of the organs of the sensory system; so that there are some disturbances at times to the hearing, the touch, the sense of smell and the like - all show their reflex action in the system.

10. The circulations through the head, in the nasal cavity, the antrum, the soft tissue in the throat, show affectation by the lack of the proper circulation; but with the proper stimulation to those centers that have been indicated, or will be indicated for the correction of the flow of impulse through the nerve as related to those centers or ganglia that may control the activity through portions of the system, these conditions should clarify themselves.

11. Lung area shows indications of where there have in times back been the effects of congestion through the lung area, yet this is entirely encased in the activative forces in the body for the prevention of activity; and we see no reason for any recurrent reaction in the system unless there is the allowing of the breaking down of the cellular force sufficient to allow such influences to become activative again in the body.

12. As to the digestive system and the heart's action, these are irregular through the nerve reflexes and the natural

865-1 Page 3

conditions in the circulatory system. The digestive forces are disturbed, though these are sympathetic and not organic; nor are the functionings, though these are only disturbed at periods when there are those disturbances in the nervous forces of the body.

13. Liver, spleen, pancreas, gall duct, the eliminations through alimentary canal show some congestion. There have been in times back periods of congestion through the colon area itself, when there are some suggestions here - as indicated - of an affectation of cold, or what may be termed as such congestion in the mucous membrane activity in the colon - what may be said to have been colitis, or an inflammation of the mucous membrane especially in the area in the ascending and transverse colon area. This makes for a heaviness in the right portion of the abdomen that at times makes for some irritation through the nerve reflections; though these, if the proper eliminations are kept, should make for no disturbance that would be harmful - if there are the corrections from the impulses in the system being carried forward.

14. As to the activity of the kidneys and the organs of the pelvis, here we find some irritations produced by reflex action through the nervous forces; but with those applications as would make for such stimulations to bring normalcy in the functioning of the organs, these should correct themselves in this body.

15. In making the application, then, for that which would be the more helpful in the present:

16. As we find, we would have the adjustments and especially the equalizing of the equilibrium in the lumbar axis, as from the centers about the coccyx area of the spine, the adjustment in the 4th lumbar, the 8th and 9th dorsal, the 3rd and 4th cervical, coordinating these by a gentle massage to make for the equalizing of the circulation through the various centers to the posterior forces of the organs themselves and their activity.

17. We would adhere to being sure that the feet are kept warm and dry at all times. Cold or congestion to these will make for an irritation throughout the nervous forces more than it would from any other condition for THIS particular body.

18. The use of the violet ray as a portion of the treatment two or three times each week, especially over the lumbar, the solar plexus and brachial plexus center, will be helpful or beneficial. This should be added preferably just before retiring.

19. In the diet, keep to those foods of an alkalin-reaction,

865-1 Page 4

but more of the whole wheat or the whole wheat and barley as body and blood building of the nature with those vitamins necessary for maintaining the ironization in the blood stream itself from that which is assimilated by the body.

20. These kept, as we find, would make for the correcting of those conditions that disturb this body, [865].

21. We would have those periods of manipulations and adjustments, as we find, preferably in two weeks of treatments and then a week of rest or of leaving them off. These, we find, may be made further and further apart, but have sufficient to make for a balancing throughout the system.

22. Ready for questions.

23. (Q) How many adjustments would you recommend for each week? (A) We would have at least one each day. You may skip Sunday, but one each day of the week.

24. (Q) Would you recommend any specific diet? (A) As given, we would keep an alkalin-reacting diet; only using the whole wheat and barley at times as a body-building, you see. This should be at least one of the meals once or three times a week. The fresh vegetables, raw vegetables, are preferable to meats; for the body needs the balancing throughout the system of the centralizing system being kept ionized as related to the eliminations of the body. Do these and we would bring the better conditions for this body.

25. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to OSTEOPATH; also Alkalin-Forming Food list.)
