Time of Reading 5:20 to 5:55 P. M. Central Standard Time. ..., Ky. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [865]; this we have had before.
2. Now, there are changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here.
3. Not all are for the betterment of the conditions in the present. For there has been, as it were, a bruise to an already bruised body without that continuance sufficient to eliminate that which has been disturbing or causing the activities to become more manifest in the functioning of the organs of the body.
4. Hence that inability for the rest to bring the recuperations to the system. The easy tiring of the body, mentally, physically, is a result or an effect of those disturbances created by a partial application of those suggestions as we first indicated.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them in the present with this body, [865], present in this room:
6. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, while the flow has been aided by the relaxing of certain ganglia along the cerebrospinal system, as was indicated as a portion of those conditions necessary, it has produced a taxation in the functioning of the glands of the body as related to the metabolism of the system.
7. Hence we have two distinct reactions that are in the present only reactions. And if there will be those corrections or applications for the increasing of the functioning of the glands, coordinant with the stimulations that may be increased in the body, we may bring not only an elimination of the present disorders but may prevent a great deal of disturbance later on.
8. These as distinct factors or changes are the effect of the non-activity of the glands that function through the
865-2 Page 2
activity of the potassiums and those that are affected by the lack of those elements to dissolve the calcium that are created by the system, through the lack of those activative forces through the assimilating system.
9. Hence we have these conditions in the blood supply, in the present:
10. Lack of thyroid secretion. Lack of the hydrochloric reaction from those portions of the duodenum that function with the body. Thus we have what may be called a superalkalinity in a portion of the system; causing the effect of arthritic tendencies in the activity to the circulation in the extremities.
11. These conditions are indicated in the blood flow, in the urea, in the hemoglobin, in the activity of the leukocyte, the red blood cells and the PLASMS that form their connection with the circulatory body.
12. A lack of pressure, or subnormal in the circulatory forces. These become in the present the results or effects of a disturbed metabolism and katabolism of the system itself.
13. IN THE NERVE FORCES, these find this character of reaction in the system: There is incoordination between the cerebrospinal and the vegetative or sympathetic systems, as we have already indicated. But with the stimulations that have been given to the ganglia in the 9th dorsal and those that affect or become activative with the lower portion of the ducts and glands for assimilations in the system, and their impulse for activity from the nerve forces of the body, and those stimulations in the secondary cardiac and the brachial plexus in the 3rd and 2nd and 1st dorsal, there has been produced a RELAXATION in the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus through the activity of the vagus center. For the body may find this in its own activity: By the placing of the second finger upon the vagus center in the left portion of its activity, in the trachea's connection with same, we will find a pulsation that shows the skip of the activity of the flow through the glands of the throat, and through the thyroid, through the activities in the upper activity of the epiglottis itself. These are effects. This is present at this time. In two hours it will be changed. It may occur again in a period of twenty-four, forty-eight or fifty-eight or sixty hours. Or if there is the reaction by the mental stimuli to the influencing of the sympathetic nerve system, it may be balanced to a more near normal pulsation through same.
14. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in the activities of the sympathetic system, through the vagus center (that we have
865-2 Page 3
indicated is illustrated by the activity of the hypogastric and pneumogastric centers in the dorsal and the cervical centers), there is a lack of flow; through the relaxation to the organs of the sensory system. So, there is produced what may be called something of the "snuffles" through the nasal passages; a ticking, or an acute pain through the auditory center, or especially in the left side (for this is the vagus center as is spoken of, through the auditory or ear force).
15. The activities to these, then, as indicated, have been the relaxation without sufficient stimulation carried to create a balance.
16. Lungs, bronchi and larynx show the deficiency in the blood stream of the quantity in the red blood force to supply resistances; though there is no organic disturbance.
17. In the heart's activity, as indicated, the pressure is abnormal. The activity, however, is of the sympathetic and not an organic nor even a functional nature; a SYMPATHETIC nature.
18. In the digestive forces, here we find the indications of those very stimulations that partially have been helpful, but also detrimental in another direction. For, as indicated, these need sufficient time and stimuli for the body to react so that there is not only the producing of a bruise - as it were - but that which will make the drainages from same alleviate the pressures that cause the lack of functioning in the glands in the system. For as indicated, there is the lack of the thyroid activity and the excess of calcium, with the effects that these produce upon the system.
19. The excess of the activities of the potassiums and NOT sufficient of the thyroids that will produce or cause the functionings of these portions of the system to be reduced to a quantity that may be said to be nil, or so that the system could care for same and not leave in a depleted circulation the effect of these elements in portions of the body. For thus those effects are produced in the extremities, in the hands, in the knees, in the feet, in all of the structural portions where there is the lack of this acid which produces the balance, or makes for the normal balance in the body itself.
20. In making, then, as we find, in the present, those applications for the corrections:
21. Be consistent and be persistent, else the body will find it will rue the day because of those effects that will come to the body; of the lack of coordinations in the locomotories, the extremities, and those portions of the
865-2 Page 4
system as indicated are in disturbance.
22. Then, there is indicated in the present that the effect of thyroid tissue or its substitutes is active in the system. Continue with such.
23. But change the form of acid that is being taken to that of Chloride of Gold with Bromide of Soda. Prepare the two solutions and keep separate, in this manner:
24. The proportion of the Gold solution would be one grain of the Chloride of Gold to one ounce of distilled water; or fifteen grains (as in the ampule in which it is made or distributed) to fifteen ounces of distilled water. Keep this preferably in a container with a glass cork.
25. Prepare the soda solution in the proportion of two grains Bromide of Soda to one ounce of distilled water; or five grains to ten ounces of distilled water. Keep this in a separate solution, preferably with a cork of rubber or of rubberoid. This makes a better preservative than one with cork.
26. When the dosage is taken, it would be in this manner:
27. The first day, one minim of the Gold solution and two minims of the Soda solution, in half a glass of water.
28. The next day, two minims of the Gold solution and four minims of the Soda solution.
29. Increase in this proportion each day until five minims of the Gold solution and ten minims of the Soda solution are being taken.
30. Then discontinue for three days.
31. Then begin again with the one minim of the Gold, two of the Soda, etc. Continue in this manner, as indicated, until at least a third or a half of the Gold solution is taken.
32. We would begin also with the manipulations that will make for drainages as WELL as stimulations in the body. These would be to stimulate not only where there have been the corrections made in the dorsal area and in the cervical area, but to stimulate more particularly the axes in the lower lumbar and the brachial center; coordinating the others with same.
33. These we would not take now oftener than once a week.
34. At least twice each month take the Epsom Salts solution Bath. To twenty-five gallons of water add at least five to ten pounds of Epsom Salts, as hot as the body can stand same to lie in same; until it has cooled. And then have a brisk rubdown with a solution prepared in this manner:
35. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil or Usoline as the carrier, add - in the order named: Pure Olive Oil.............................1 ounce,
865-2 Page 5
Oil of Cedar Wood........................1/2 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen.......................1/2 ounce, Oil of Pine Needles.......................20 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin...............2 ounces. These in a solution will tend to separate when standing, but shake well when ready to use. This rub is only to be used when the Epsom Salts Baths are taken. It will not only strengthen the body but will make for the solving or be as a solvent to the structural portions in the extremities. Pour a small quantity in an open container (after shaking), and massage what the body will absorb; along the spine, and particularly on the locomotories and the extremities; knees, feet, elbows, shoulders, fingers - so that there is the absorption of these oils to the body.
36. In the matter of the diet, be mindful that the body-building foods are kept or adhered to - that have been indicated, if the body would build to recuperate, eliminate, and resuscitate the greater physical vitality.
37. Ready for questions.
38. (Q) I should continue the Thyroid Tablets in the same manner? (A) Should continue the Thyroid Tablets, as given.
39. (Q) Should my tonsils be removed? (A) You need your tonsils, if you will keep them cleansed! And cleanse means by the circulation that goes through the system. These will be beneficial later to the body. They are not affected sufficiently in the present to indicate their removal. And you cannot lose that much blood, as would be in the present, anyway.
40. (Q) What is causing keen pains on left side under the ear? (A) As indicated, that unbalancing condition in the vagus center of its association with the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus in the upper dorsal dn cervical center. Follow these treatments as indicated; not only the stimulation but the massage. And the massage is to be not only on limbs but along the spine.
41. (Q) Can these massages be done at home, or should they be done by an osteopath? (A) BEST be done at home than by an osteopath; though the osteopath should make once a week the corrections, see? The massage of the oils should be taken AFTER the Epsom Salts bath, twice a month, at home; for it may be best done in the home.
42. (Q) Do I have arthritis? (A) As indicate, there are tendencies; owing to the lack of
865-2 Page 6
the acids of the nature to cause the eliminations, and tending to make for a drying of the bursae that perform the functioning of the oils - as it were - to the ends of the joints. But with the stimulation to the reproductive forces in the body, through the glands' activities, from the Gold and the Soda, with the stimulation to the activity of the thyroids, these - we find, as combined with the others and the food values especially - will bring the better forces for this body. DO that, consistently, persistently. It will be worth while.
43. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (11/14/35 GD's note: See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to Osteopath. The oils may be purchased separately for the massage, and added by self in the order named.)
