Born April 18, 1919, in Wilmington, Delaware. Time of Reading 11:35 to 12:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Life Reading Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the universe and universal forces, that are latent and manifested in the personalities of the entity now known as [870]. And the records that are here are very clear.
2. In giving that which may be helpful to this entity in making for self in the mental and the spiritual developments that will, with their application, bring for the material experience the greater satisfaction, the greater growth, greater development, we find:
3. It would be well to note carefully many of those experiences of the entity in the astrological and in the material or earthly influences, and as to how these have influenced each activity. For here we find a growth. One that from the material angle may oft be looked upon as being controversial in giving the material expressions, but we shall find that in their essence a growth has been and is being accomplished in the experience of the entity.
4. True, the astrological influences will be at an adverse activity from purely an astrological aspect, but when visioned from what the soul has developed and does develop through its earthly sojourns, as well as in the astrological environs, we shall find quite a different angle of approach.
5. In the astrological, then, we find:
6. Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Mars; all entering into periods of EXPERIENCE for the entity. And the positions of any or all of these environs upon the entity manifest themselves in the material plane rather as periods of opportunity, rather than the impelling; though once there is given that activity in the opportune influence, then we find these carry as with the emotional activity of the body itself.
7. Jupiter we find making for these as innate and manifested
870-1 Page 2
experiences; and as Jupiter is coming into the benevolent influence for those that have had indwellings, we should find the next three and a half to five years the most interesting experience or period of the entity's development in this sojourn, making for a breadth of vision in its relationships to not only individual problems but in those as related to the affairs of nations, of the world. And the entity, as will be seen, has in more than one manner of experience influenced the affairs of groups, states, countries, nations; in not only their thought in the commercial or material world but definitely in the spiritual attributes in the earth.
8. Venus makes for a gentleness of manner, of mien, that is extraordinary in one with such vitality, such purposes, such aims, such a breadth of activity.
9. And those indwellings in Mercury bring the experience of not only a breadth of vision but the high mental abilities, high emotional influences in the experience.
10. But in Saturn we have those that make for the changes in environs, the changes in the thought, in the mental attitudes of the entity; yet these, if they are weighed well in the MENTAL ability, in the gentleness of spirit, in the breadth of vision, may make for ever that ennobling influence as to direct the entity in its greater activity.
11. These are, then, as the ruling astrological or spiritual sojourns of the entity in this present experience, making for one - while often changing in its attitude of approach to individuals, to groups, to classes or to the activity of self as in relationship to all - with a gentleness of purpose that shows consideration.
12. But in Mars there is a determination that makes for purposefulness, if those emotions and mental forces that are innate are guided and directed aright. If these are allowed to become as ruling passions in the changes and in the Martian influence, they may make for stumblingstones. Yet that gentleness, that mental influence, that greatness of vision, as we find, should make for even a greater and greater advancement of the entity's abilities and the entity's activities in the present experience.
13. As to the appearances in the earth and those that influence the entity in the present, we find:
14. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when there were the settlings in the land now known as Pennsylvania, or the Penn State, during those periods when there were the understandings being made between the natives and those peoples settling in the land.
870-1 Page 3
15. The entity then was among the first of the native-born in that land, in the name then of Richard Chambern, and about that land or city now known as the "city of brotherly love." It was during the periods when the leaders of those groups made for the understandings, and the motivative forces of spirit rather than the material gain made the impressions upon the activities of the entity during the sojourn, as to make for that which later declared itself in the freedom of speech, in the freedom of activity as related to the peoples of groups and of a nation.
16. For the entity grew into the tenets of that great leader during the experience; not as a minister but rather as a teacher, and as a director of the material, the physical, as WELL as the moral life of those about the entity during the sojourn.
17. Thus there are the abilities within the experience of the entity in the present for the entity to become, as it oft finds itself, the mediator between factions or groups, or as a leader in certain tenets or truths that may be taken on as a portion of the experience of others. And as is seen in the present, the entity is often chosen by such groups to be spokesman for those that would present or represent certain policies or definite activities on the part of others.
18. Before that we find the entity was in that period of the greater development in the experience of the entity, for it was during those periods when the Master walked in the earth.
19. The entity was among those that gathered with those of His followers, and was among those that became the closer disciples of the Master; remaining with those throughout the greater portion of the teachings of same, and was the brother-in-law of Peter, that one that became as the spokesman for those of the twelve that gathered as His material representatives in the earth.
20. Then the entity was in the name Cleopas, and the husband of Cleo - or the father of Mark. In the experience the entity gained throughout; for though the activities brought the entity into the close associations with those of the Jewish peoples and those of the Roman rulers, those of the various sets and sects of the period, the entity remained true to not only his duties - as those that were to represent the government in the land, as an appointed place - but also as a representative of those of the faith to which the entity's peoples had adhered and joined with those of the teachings.
21. In the present again we may find the abilities in the
870-1 Page 4
entity for the representing not only of its own purposes, aims and desires, but a PARTICULAR interest in a developing of the relationships of nations, which is to be through the entity's experience in the earth, in THIS period, to become so necessary in the presenting of the causes of so many varied peoples.
22. Hence as we find from that particular sojourn, the entity's adaptability in what may be termed as a counselor, an aider, to those that may be in authority in its own land, or as the representative in the other lands; these, as we find, making for those abilities that may be made for the greater development for the entity in its present sojourn, as also in that high ennobling service the entity may render to its fellow man in its activity in the present experience. For, that faculty, that quality of being sincere is innate and manifested in the entity in such a way and manner that it may become as that which may be so often spoken of in the entity's experience in the present. Standing as a fort, as a wall of strength to many during those periods when those of every position or class may be questioned as to their purposes and their desires. THESE are those influences, then, that bring into the experience of the entity that innately gathered of the strength and the weaknesses of those that gathered about that teacher during that experience.
23. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian land, now known, during those experiences when there were many questions as to those activities in the city in the hills and the plains by that leader during that experience.
24. The entity then was one closely associated with the king; yea, it was the very son of the king, though out of the regular line, during the experience; and was the keeper of the records of the king and those activities of trade, of commerce, of associations with other lands.
25. When the entity knew of those great lessons of truth, of help in the physical, of counsel in the mental, of the spiritual awakening that came to so many, the entity journeyed with others hither; and, as would be termed in the present, there was then made a compact or an agreement of peace, of prosperity, between the leaders in that nomad land and those of the highly developed period in what later became the Chaldean land. And among the ruins of the third city under that in Ur, there may be found many of the records made by THIS entity during that experience. For the buildings of the temple to the leaders in that experience, the preparations for the outlets, for the preservation of life as related to morality and the physical abilities, were
870-1 Page 5
first begun by the entity then, in the name Philos.
26. In the experience the entity gained and lost; gained throughout those periods when those tenets of the teachings in the hills were applied with that innately which had been builded in the experience of the entity; making for the abilities for the setting out of those influences in the lives of its own people and of those about that land, for the preservation of the strength in the moral influences in the lives, and the preservations - as may be termed - in the care for the body. The first of baths as were set were set about by the entity, in THAT city, where those might make for the cleansing of the body as the cleansings of the mind by the study. And the abilities to make for same, in those activities, that there might be all temperatures of the bath, were first set there.
27. In the present may be seen an activity that is a peculiarity to the entity, especially in relation to his OWN bath; necessitating that it be of its own nature as he desires for same.
28. From the abilities in that sojourn, there comes again in the present the tendency for the preservation of the physical activity of individuals and of groups. And the entity thinks not only in terms of the individual but as of many.
29. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Egyptian, during those periods when there were the attempts of many to make for the correlation of the thought between what had been developed in the Egyptian land with the return of the Priest, and the teachings in the Indian land of one Saneid, and the teachings in what was then the Mongoloid land or the Gobi Desert land - as known in the present - of one named Contui.
30. The entity made for the gatherings of these as groups from the various centers, that made for the setting up of an independent activity by the entity in what is now the Persian and Arabian land; gathering influences and forces not only from the Egyptian land but the Indian, the Mongolian, the Gobi, and also from the Caucasian or the northern lands of what is now Norway, Denmark and the Teutonic land. For the entity then became a great leader during that experience, in the name Barrai.
31. In that land, AGAIN there may be found deep in the earth much; for the entity began then to make for dwellings from without the caves and the preparation of same into those periods when not only stones were being used but also the preparation of the timbers, the preparation of other materials that were to be combined in the preparations for
870-1 Page 6
dwelling places. And hence we find those things that pertain to same have their influence, their urge in the experience of the entity in the present, making for something at times of a confusion of thought. For those periods make for the greater impression, with that period as Cleopas making for the greater mental and innate urge in the experience.
32. As to the abilities in the present, then, and that to which the entity may attain, and how:
33. While in the material activity those things pertaining to building arts, or those things that pertain to the building of the body as an art may make for material gains, the greater strength, the greater developments will come in the entity preparing itself - as it will NATURALLY do - to represent its fellow man in relations to groups in foreign lands, or FROM foreign lands. These make for the greater ability. These will present themselves during the experience of the entity in the present sojourn. (Keep that attitude of sincerity, of oneness of purpose, that builds for a strength which is not overcome by material circumstance. For though the strength of the body may fail, though the temptations that arise may bring experiences that are troublesome and turmoils, thy strength of purpose and thy sincerity are as the greater boons of mercy before the Throne of grace. For he that may be sincere with self, and most of all sincere with his fellow man, has found favor in the First Cause or Creative Forces we call God.)
34. Ready for questions.
35. (Q) What college should he attend? (A) Yale.
36. (Q) Please describe his previous associations with his mother in the present incarnation. (A) These have been in more than one, but the greater were the closer relations in the period when the Master walked in the earth; for there we find the entity counseled oft, the entity aided oft in bringing for the entity the better relationships with the turmoils and periods that made for distresses to many. Again we find the entity in those periods in the Egyptian land, when their relationships were almost the same - or THE same as in the present.
37. (Q) Please tell us what was the name of the king whose son this entity was, in the Persian experience; and what were the dates B.C. of his life? (A) This was in the line or the first of the Croesus', that had gathered the gold of the world. The entity then, as
870-1 Page 7
indicated, was the son of the ruler; that became the prince, and was the prince setting up those periods. This experience was some eight fifty-eight (858) B.C. [GD's note: From all other references, it would seem that eight thousand and fifty-eight (8,058) was meant here instead of eight hundred and fifty-eight (858).]
38. (Q) Is there any other advice or counsel at this time? (A) Keep that faith not only in self but in the influences that prompt the sincerity of self in thy activities.
