Time of Reading 4:40 to 5:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [877]; this we have had before.

2. As we find there are many changes in the physical forces of the body since last we had same here.

3. While there have been a great many improvements, and while the conditions in many respects are very good in the present, there are those precautions that should be taken. And specific disturbances that arise at times may be eliminated by those precautions taken in the present, that may lead to greater disturbances unless such precautions are taken in the present.

4. While there have been corrections made in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, and in those inclinations that arise from those tendencies for the body to be somewhat lax in the proper exercises of the bodily muscular forces and tendons, there is the tendency to make for a pressure upon the whole of the segments from the upper portion of the dorsal to almost the end of the spine. Hence we have those tendencies for these pressures to produce irritations in the upper portion of the body to the mucous membranes of the bronchi, the throat, and throughout the larynx area; while the pressures upon the axis in the 4th lumbar center tend to produce a contraction that may be said to begin with the bursae in the back portion and central portion of the feet themselves. So, as we find, if the exercises that are not of too strenuous a nature taken consistently morning and evening, for two, three, four minutes, we would find quite a change in the bodily reactions. Of morning they would be in this manner:

5. Upon arising, standing erect, stretch slowly, easily, the hands as high above the head as possible. Bending forward without bending the knees, three, four, five, six, eight to ten times, slowly, not exercising too heavily. When raising the hands, rise gently on the toes, you see. Inhale as the

877-13 Page 2

body stretches itself upward. Exhale through the mouth as the body bends forward.

6. In the evening alter the exercise to this, just before retiring!

7. Begin with the head and neck exercises, preferably with the hands upon the hips. Turning the head one, two, three times to the left, gently. One, two, three to the right. One, two, three to the front. One, two, three to the back. Then circulate the bodily forces from the waist almost in the same way and manner, but with the hands upon the hips, in each of those. Then rise upon the toes and stoop one, two, three times. These done consistently, persistently.

8. These exercises constantly taken, we will find we will - with the activities of this body - through the other influences that have been given and are being used - make for a change that will make for the greater helpful forces for this body, [877].

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) What is the condition of the eyes? How may they be improved? (A) With the head and neck exercise we will find not only the eyes but the ears, the sense of smell, the sense of taste, the activities of the throat will all be materially aided. This is very much more preferable under the existing conditions to corrections or to local applications. However, to be sure, any of the mild antiseptics as a wash for the mouth or throat or the eyes, or of ears are good to be used occasionally.

11. (Q) Regarding the scales on ears (lobes), also nose, forehead, cheeks, dry skin and cuticle. (A) As we find these are the effects of this poor circulation that will be so materially aided by this exercise and especially that enables the influences of the diet, the influence of the digestive forces to create within the blood supply the abilities to remove poisons that are being thrown off in the manners as indicated by the disturbances in the portions of the system.

12. (Q) Should there be any local applications? (A) As we find, if desired, a little Witchhazel occasionally is the most beneficial; just applied locally. This will not be necessary, though, for longer than a period of a week after beginning the exercises.

13. (Q) The right foot sometimes feels like muscle is caught. (A) This also, as indicated, is from pressure upon the lumbar axis, and the exercises especially of the feet and the limbs and the bodily forces will relieve these pressures by the system adjusting as it were the weight, the balance through the system. We will find also, while the body is

877-13 Page 3

very good on the feet in many ways, with these activities consistently taken - not necessarily for long durations, but don't taken them just to get through with them, but take them for them to ACCOMPLISH something as they are being taken - the body will be much lighter upon the feet, not tiring so much when walking or exercising at all. And the air or being out in the air occasionally is much better for the body if it walks, when in a high altitude or in such an activity, so that it requires the pumping as it were of the whole of the circulatory system. This will purify the superficial or the outer circulation.

14. (Q) For the throat irritation? (A) As has been indicated.

15. (Q) What antiseptic would be suggested? (A) Any of those desired, whether Lavoris or Glyco-Thymoline or a combination of these. Any of these are well.

16. (Q) What is best diet for the body? (A) Keep this very well balanced. These are the better, as we find: Do not eat potatoes and any of the starchy foods too much at the same meal, but the meats should be such as fish, fowl, lamb. The vegetables more of the leafy than the pod. These as we find will keep a very good balance. Make at times a meal upon fruits only. At others of vegetables only. At others practically of meats only, with only sufficient of the others to make a balanced meal.

17. (Q) What about water, the quantity I should take and when? (A) These conditions arise, or this condition of this body: Periods arise as we find when too much water makes for reactions that are unsatisfactory owing to these balances in the bodily structural forces of the body itself. Hence we would find light wines may be taken occasionally in the place of water, but water taken night and morning is preferable for the body. Not too much in the noontime but night and morning. This will also tend to make for at times a little irritation by cleansing the kidneys, but this is necessary to prevent any toxic forces arising from changes being wrought by these balances created in the bodily system.

18. (Q) Is Derbetaine good generally? (A) Derbetaine kept as a balance between the diets of the body is excellent.

19. (Q) What best for me, I, II, III? (A) III!

20. (Q) What is the correct amount of sleep - (A) (Interrupting) Sleep may be -

21. (Q) (Continuing) for me?

877-13 Page 4

(A) That's different! For this body, from six and a half to seven hours should be sufficient.

22. (Q) What is the best position for me to sleep in? (A) Begin by lying upon the left side for a few minutes, until the balance is kept or made between the systems in a general manner. Then upon the right side more.

23. (Q) What position for the head? (A) Almost the body level, the head just a little bit above the lower portion of the feet.

24. (Q) How may I reduce waistline fat? (A) Do these things that we have given. Don't we work from the waistline in these? Don't we make for all those balances? These are taken into consideration! Then don't use those things that produce too much waistline, but exercise them so that what is the NOMINAL way and manner would be the better for the body. And we will find the correct proportions or correct status of the whole structural portion will become coordinant one with another. As we find in those of the age, and in the structural reactions to the system, this may be kept or made at most any condition desired. But the better is to keep the system physically fit and let nature take care of whatever the size may be. For to do that which may reduce in this or that way and manner, that is at the expense of some portion of the system, is like cutting off the nose to spite the face almost.

25. (Q) What is correct weight for this body? (A) Some three to six pounds lighter than at present.

26. (Q) Regarding the baths, should they be hot or cold? (A) This is better, and especially with those tendencies for the disturbance, that they be hot AND cold; that is, with either a shower or tub and a spray and rub-off of the cold, see?

27. (Q) Pine needles good? (A) Pine needles are excellent; nothing better for the skin than the pine needle rubs.

28. (Q) What climate is best for this body? (A) When a body is physically fit, man's nature and man's distension and man's activity can adjust self to most any climate. So with this body. If the activities require the body to be in this or that, then when extremes come, to go for a period to the mountain, to the sea or to a warmer climate, and to be active for a period of a week, ten days or a month does not produce such strains as to necessitate climactic reactions. For, as indicated, man's bodily

877-13 Page 5

functions may adjust self, rather than climatic conditions being adjusted to self. For these become as the mental reactions to those not only of the needs but of the obligations, duties and opportunities that come for an individual's activity and reaction.

29. (Q) The effect of alcohol, should it be strong or not? (A) Alcohol in moderation is well for MOST bodies. But not too great a quantity taken as to cause a slow congestion in the liver area. But alcohols taken, evenings - very well.

30. (Q) Any further advice for this body at this time? (A) Much might be said regarding he mental attitudes to be sure, which are intimidated in the activities as to the climatic and those reactions in the system. But the body has its OWN reactions and its own ideals. Build them to that which IS in keeping with the purposes, the desires and the aims, and they become much more effective and much greater promise for the better influence throughout.
