Time of Reading ... Ave., N.W. 3:20 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [893], present in this room.
2. Now, as we find, while the physical conditions in many respects are very good, there are specific conditions existent the correction of which in the present would prevent a great deal of distress later on, and correct conditions that at times make for distresses in the system at present.
3. These conditions, as we find, have to do with specific conditions existent in the nerve forces of the body, especially that in the axis and in the upper and lower axis; and the resulting conditions are as these in the physical forces of this body, [893] we are speaking of:
4. We find the BLOOD SUPPLY is very good in the general, yet there are periods when the respiratory system becomes involved, making for a fullness in the chest and in the throat at times. Also it makes for an irregularity in the pulsations in the system.
5. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM, as indicated, do we find the seat or the causes of the disorders in the body, and the resultant effects that arise in the functioning of the organs of the pelvis - that make for the disorders in the gland secretions, especially in the activity of the lacteals as related to the digestive forces of the system. Also in the adrenal and the caecum and in the iliac plexus do we find this pressure that exists, making its reaction to the sympathetic system at times. And at other times, when there has been a stress of ANY nature, either physical or through an over mental activity, there is caused a disorder through the cerebrospinal system - which makes for rather an unusual reaction. For ordinarily the reactions that occur should find their reflexes in the sympathetic rather than cerebrospinal; so that we have the headaches which come
893-1 Page 2
from those periods that cause the reaction in the system from a cerebrospinal plexus.
6. This pressure affects through the ilium plexus, at the 4th lumbar and the coccyx centers in the cerebrospinal and sympathetic plexus area, reflexing through the system. Hence we have periods, when the activities of the organs of the pelvis are inactive, when these produce their reaction to the caecum plexus, making or causing for a gathering there of the influences that should react to the general eliminating system, forming as a reaction through the association activity of the peristaltic movement in the jejunum and a portion of the colon. Hence those distresses that occur at periods across these portions of the system, giving - as it were - a reflex as of a congestion in the organs of the pelvis, or more particularly in the ovarian area; causing this contraction there. Also those reflexes from same produce that reaction in the area and the activity of the lacteal secretions as related to the activities of the glands of digestion, when not only does the appetite fail but that which is taken as an active force for the system at such times - in food or drink - reacts as to the effect of producing a lack of movement or activity in the secretions to the digestive system.
7. These conditions then, as we find, arise from an impingement - not an impingement in the form of a subluxation, but more as a contraction in the ilium plexus, radiating to the ganglia in the 4th lumbar and those in the coccyx area. But we have a sympathetic plexus in the 4th dorsal as well as the 3rd and 4th cervical, in the manner in which reflexes to these ganglia become affected.
8. In the general forces of the ORGANS of the system we find no specific organic disturbance, save as effected through the reactions and the activity of the nerve forces through this direct or specific condition existent there.
9. Then, in this manner would we not only bring the relief to the whole system but prevent many tendencies that are gradually being builded in the system:
10. We would relieve or release those pressures existent by the MOVEMENT of the segments in the 4th lumbar or the axis of the pelvis, and those especially on the left portion of the plexus on the end and the second plexus from the end of the coccyx area; with the according of a perfect circulation through the system.
11. First, however, we would apply heat - before there would be any application of the moving of the segments; for these should not be moved except sufficient to release - and this gradually.
893-1 Page 3
12. We would apply the heat preferably by wet packs and then the Sun Light applied, or the ray of the Sun Lamp; for three to five minutes before such manipulation and adjustment would be made. And these we would make at least three or four times each week, until twelve to sixteen such adjustments or applications are made.
13. Then we would have these of a GENERAL nature, after this period, once or twice a week for six to eight such applications.
14. Also we would use the Radio-Active Appliance as the stimulator for removing those tendencies in the nerve forces for restlessness; the tendency to not obtain rest when the body attempts to relax.
15. And we would find it would be well that there be taken throughout these periods (which may be continued ON when the body is bettered) the specific exercises that make for releasing those tendencies for contraction, and the inability of the body to perfectly relax. A few minutes just before retiring and a few minutes upon arising of morning; the stretching exercise especially of raising the arms high above head, and the exercise of the feet and limbs at the same time. Rising on the toes, again rising - as it were - or rocking back on the heals, raising the arms at each change made; counting one, two, three, four, as the changes are made.
16. In the matter of the diet we would keep close to the non-acid producing foods for the body (such as green vegetables, fruits and milk products), but more of those that will carry the vitamins necessary to replenish those tendencies for the drawing upon the nerve energies of the system to supply the coordinating forces in the ganglia specifically that have been under stress. That is, use at regular periods as a portion of the morning meal (two or three times each week) the whole wheat cereal, or whole wheat and barley - as in Maltex, or the cracked wheat. At the other morning meals use citrus fruits, but do not use citrus fruits AND cereals at the same meal! Have citrus fruit juices, fruits and nuts as a great portion of the diet; and not too much meats, ESPECIALLY not fried meats or beef - or fried foods of any kind. But fowl, fish, mutton and the like would be the preferable meats.
17. Do these, and we will find we will bring the normal conditions for this body.
18. In using the Radio-Active Appliance for the ionization and equalization of the blood flow, apply this each day for a period of thirty minutes to an hour as the body rests; preferably the body lying prone to rest. If the body goes
893-1 Page 4
to sleep at such a time, do not disturb; it is not a hindrance or over effect for the appliance to remain longer then thirty minutes or an hour.
19. Do not do things by rote or just to get through. Do them for a purpose. Keep the mental attitude in that of a PURPOSEFULNESS in each activity. Not so much as for personal gain as for the abilities created by such activities in the body, the mind and the inner self, the soul, to be of a greater and better expression.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) What is wrong with my right foot? (A) Shorter in this limb, owing to those pressures as indicated in the axis or in the 4th lumbar and the coccyx center; which pulls and makes for an increasing of the pressure in two bursae in the foot. But with these corrections and with the manipulations that naturally go with same, as the adjustments are made, the adjustments will be made in the feet also.
22. (Q) Is an operation necessary? (A) Operation NOT necessary.
23. (Q) Is Dr. Leadbetter's diagnosis correct? (A) NOT correct. Have these applications made by Taylor.
24. (Q) Are cigarettes injurious to my health? (A) In moderation, not injurious.
25. (Q) What causes the periodic suffering? (A) As indicated.
26. (Q) Do I have chronic appendicitis? (A) No. It has been indicated as to how these reflex conditions affect the caecum area specifically, and how the activities in a portion of the colon and the lower portion of the jejunum are affected by those pressures indicated.
27. (Q) What may I do to strengthen my wrists? (A) Do the exercises given.
28. (Q) Could Dr. Bressler give the treatments properly? (A) We would prefer Taylor. Dr. Bressler may give same. Do those things as indicated, and - as we find - we will bring not only the normalcy for the body but prevent many disturbances later on, that are being builded by these hindrances in portions of the system, [893].
