This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 23rd day of July, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... Road, Deal, N.J., and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from this, as I read same to you.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body-mind and the enquiring mind of [900], with the dreams this body has had. Again and again we find the developments in the body-mind of this body, [900], with lessons as are to be gained and made a portion of self, given to the body in co-relation [correlation] of the visions as are seen in the subconscious or unconscious forces of the individual, and these are giving lessons to the individual for the development of the mind toward that force that may be manifested through this individual, [900]. Ready for dream.

3. (Q) Monday, July 20, 1925, at home in Deal. I was at a horse race track, leaning on the fence which runs around the track. I was at about the third quarter mark - three quarters of the way around the track. In the first part of the dream I seemed to have neglected some studies and the teacher, professor or master, was there. I didn't want to buckle down and study just then, preferred rather to watch the races, or tend to other things. "Can't we set one night to clear up all of these studies?" and had to laugh at my own exaggeration. He turned away from me, leaving it to me.

Next my Uncle Sol walked across the field leading or at the head of two horses, and there seemed to be two colored men, two Negroes in charge. The latter two carried guns and boots. I exclaimed at the power and size of these horses, particularly one of them and wondered at the ridiculous appearance of the Negroes. "They'll never ride those horses," I said. Then I learned the horses were not meant to race - just to run with the rest, but not to race in competition, for if they did, they must surely win, so fine a specimen of horse were they. We watched the race start and the fine horses, with the ludicrous Negroes ran with the

pack. At the 3/4 mark just about around the curve from where I was standing, one of the big horses started out aiming to win. "He'll win alright," I said, "But how will that funny Negro ever stay on his back?" The Negro stood up in his stirrups and tried to hold on with his knees, but the pace and the horse was too much for him. He went flying off the horse's back, landing on the ground on his back and head - his feet flying in the air. It was no surprise to me - I had expected as much. I then noticed a crowd of people in the center being crushed together by the racing horses, crowding them in center. "The horses have to go around again," I said, "But that horse can stand the pace. He is wonderful - he'll win!" I noticed the people in the center being squashed together and thought it was tough on them. They might stampede outwardly on this time around I thought. It was evident, the horses were beyond control, and particularly these powerful beasts that had thrown their riders. Sure enough the horses on the second time around stampeded madly outwardly. Wagons and all were thrown up against the fence, but although badly frightened, I seemed to be on the right side of the fence, so to speak, for a barrier was thrown up between me and the horses and I seemed safe enough. Within, the horses, ungovernable, continued their wild race, and it started to storm and rain within the barrier. Then a lady came in from the melee within. I recognized her as an actress. "How are you?" I queried. "Well enough," she replied and turned away. I felt let down, so to speak, and turned to note the storm going on within the walls. (A) In this we see the demonstration of the conditions as are going on within the mind of the individual, [900], for as can be seen through the enquiring mind of this body, these are emblematical conditions, as it were, of the messages as are to be carried to the peoples through this individual. The appearance of horses being as the message and messenger. The two as appear of powerful and of exemplary of force and power coming through one that is of this same household, then, representing the message as is to be carried by this individual, [900], and the ludicrous condition of the riders, and those who are to represent or carry same, being that condition or position the entity feels of self, yet with the strength of the message as is seen, recognizing the abilities of the message to be carried, and the manner in which these carry same is the representation of the manner in which same would be recognized by others; yet the presentation of consternation caused in and among others (horses and messages, see?), and

of the peoples crowding in, the manner in which same would attempt to receive same, showing, as it were, how same would be received. The recognition of how that same would affect peoples is seen in the manner of how the individual recognizes the danger in which the people are found that are within the enclosure or track over which message is to go, as is represented here. The representing, then, of storm and of lowering of elements shows the condition that will be presented on all sides by such, yet with the recognition of self being on the right side, as it were, as is seen within the barrier. The falling of the water or rain upon all, showing how same would become beneficial then to all those taken in storm. The seeing of an individual, recognizing their character, their position, as it were, before peoples, the manner in which same would be classed by some individuals, as of theatrical and as presented in such a manner; yet all coming in that same way as to be of benefit, help, aid, to each and every individual. Then, the whole lesson is as a vision, as is seen by the body [900], of that condition which may be expected to be presented to the body, when such elements of the message as should be prepared by individual is presented to others. There will be other presentations to this individual of the same conditions, in a different manner presented, from time to time, as the mind of the body develops that message. Taking, then, this as the basis of same, follow others with that understanding that the individual is accomplishing and doing that which will bring the great truths to the people who desire to seek same, knowing then that through self there is being brought to the world a message, necessary for man's development in the world - earth. Beautiful presentation to the individual of that endeavor to which the body has set itself. Then, be thou faithful unto the end, knowing that the greater service is the highest in the realms of the Giver of all Good and Perfect Gifts.

4. (Q) Tuesday Morning, July 21, at home in Deal. Was stand ing in a rowboat and [136] was pulling me into land. Then they seemed to be carrying her under a shed. She seemed so like a baby, or was it a baby or not, they were carrying? (A) This a presentation of the recognition of help and assistance that may be given the individual through the efforts of this body, [136], for as the drawing out of the water presents the message, for this then is seen as a babe that may be taught, guided, guarded and directed in that manner to be of help, succor and aid to the body, in mind, soul and spirit.

5. (Q) Saw the house on the ocean drive I am thinking of

taking for next summer in Deal. The words: "Let [136] attend to that." Then thought of some house some one man was building. I wondered at his attempting to build this house alone. No one else was doing it. Maybe the words "Let [136] attend to that" came here instead of above - not sure. (A) This, as we see, again a representation to the individual of how self is attempting to build the self, the house of the mind of the individual; represented then in material form into that as has been visualized for temporal dwelling. The words "Let [136] attend to that" coming, then, as the warning that the individual should consider the aid that may be had through others, rather than acquiring all through self.

6. (Q) Just the words "Sell them short." (A) This again representation of conditions pertaining to material forces of the individual, and not attained in whole to the body, on account of attitude of self towards same. That is, correlating of the forces necessary to bring the whole interpretation to self, not complete in body on account of doubt held in self regarding same. Rather open self for the reception of same, that these may be attained in whole, capable of being seen, understood and used by self. The individual has seen this word as given manifested in open market, and as the indication of the trend as is to be seen, yet with many haltings before a full and complete break is seen.
