This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 7th day of August, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 4:00 P. M. Dayton Savings Time. Deal, N.J.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... Road, Deal, N.J., and the dreams this body had on the date which I will give you. You will give the interpretations and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body and the enquiring mind of [900]. This we have had before. Ready for dream.

3. (Q) Early morning Thursday, August 6, 1925, at home in Deal. I was aiming at a target with a gun. I was trying hard to get my sight on the center of the target - on the bull's eye. The voice explained to me that I must get my eye on the two sights such that my eye was adjusted to the two sights, parallel to the center of the target. I tried once and shot high of the mark. I tried again and came nearer. I held the gun a third time. "Keep your eye in that one line - get the front sight right on that center dot," said the voice. I felt my hands tremble and gun quiver, but I tried and tried and seemed to come nearer. (A) This, as we see, the continuation, as it were, of that correlation of the truths as have been presented to the entity in gaining knowledge of forces and powers, and the application of same in the individual life as to how both objects are to be kept in view, as it were, in aiming, in attaining, in making the score as is desired by the individual. Then gain that lesson as is given to the entity, in keeping self in that attunement and in service as would be in keeping with that desired, see? for only when this at-oneness is kept in attune may the perfect understanding, the perfect reasoning, as it were, of the two-fold forces as are seen being applied in the daily life of the individual, capable of being made worthwhile in the body.

4. (Q) We were seated in class as at school and next to me sat Jessie Baer, one of my customers. Ben Block was our teacher and he passed out new little white cloths to each of us. Jessie Baer turned to me and said: "I've sold mine.

See, I made $800 profit - that is the only way to do. It is the only way to enter these new syndicates." We all had our cloths left and could sell them, possibly, only for what we paid for them. I didn't seem able to figure this out and Ben Block had someone go to the blackboard and start to figure this out for us, but the figures seemed too complicated for me to decipher. Disappointed, I turned to Baer and said: "He doesn't like we little fellows - he only likes the big ones." I noticed he kept to the back of the classroom where the big fellows sat. (A) This, as we see, again the presentation of those conditions as have been given, as relating to Baer and of Block, with an association with same from a different viewpoint. As is given in that how this entity, this deal with Baer, should be handled from a viewpoint, again it is presented to the entity from the aspect of Block's viewpoint, see? Again we find the co-relation of conditions in lessons as are being taught and shown the body, as to how same and the different manner in which people, different individuals, may be or may not be handled. Again we find the entity, as it were, [900], in a way tested as to how that as has been received by entity shall be used. Hence the injunction as has been given to the entity: Apply in daily life those lessons as are gained through study and through the relations as are reached with those Universal Forces as are manifest to same.

5. (Q) Has this any bearing on Chicago Pneumatic Tool stock that Ben Block sold to me, or caused me to buy? [(not read) If it has a bearing on this stock, then what should I now do with this stock, or what does this dream indicate I should do with it?] (A) Rather that as we have given, the relations with Baer and with [900], and as are handled by the two, as has been shown.

6. (Q) Then someone came up to my desk and addressed me as follows: "Do you want to make a hit with him?" "Yes," I answered eagerly. "Take this back to him," and the person gave me what seemed to be a pan of water. I took this back to Ben Block and he instructed me how to put it in a package and I did so, and wrapped the package up carefully. (A) This, as we see, a continuation of just the same conditions as have been presented, and only presented to the entity in a different phase, way or manner, that the same lessons, the same truths, may be gained by the entity as to how to handle self, conditions, men, places, things, under the existing conditions of rule, as is presented through force itself, see?

7. (Q) Someone, then, had stacks of books for me to wrap up and I attempted to do so and every time the cord seemed to slip. (EC interrupted. Rest not read: I tried again and again and I'd almost succeed and the cord would slip. As an after thought, it seemed I should just have wrapped half of the books at a time.) (A) This, as we see, a wrapping, a condition attempted, a using of knowledge, as books presents usage of same, presented to entity to use. The slipping of knots, the attempts to create the package as is made, is as usage of the information as is given the entity through such forces from time to time. Not individual stocks, not individual conditions. Conditions as a whole, and the entity put, as it were, to that position of using the knowledge in the correct manner, that, as it were, both sights may be in keeping with that the entity is attempting and doing. We have others that present to individual conditions, as we will see.

8. (Q) Then [136] came into view and said: "Here we can wrap and sell these too." "We can sell what for our house?" I queried. "These," she said, carrying out queer looking things or objects. "I can get a dollar or two for each of them." "You don't say," I remarked, "Then I'll wrap them up too!" (A) This a continuation of the same, showing, as given, much knowledge of the forces may be acquired through assistance and aid of those who would come to the help, as the development of each. Two heads think better than one, see?

9. (Q) [136] said to me: "[900], I am wombed." "What do you mean?" I asked. "We are going to have a baby," she replied. "Then," I admonished, "You had better think beautiful thoughts and be very good, for your baby will inherit traits accordingly." (A) This, as we see, a continuation of those same truths as are being shown, pointed out, to the developing forces of the mind of this body, [900], each being presented in a manner and way, in such emblematical forces, as gives the greatest impressive forces to the body. Hence, guard them well, as is seen in the advice the self would give to that one in guarding the forces as would be placed in their keeping. As one is a sacred trust, so is the other as sacred in the hands of the other, each depending upon the actions, the thoughts, the deeds of the other, as to what the outcome of that would be.

10. (Q) A physical dream not comprehensible to me. Explain its meaning and lesson. (A) We don't gain any.

11. (Q) Words as follows: "Pan Pet B. 49-50." (A) This a variation in stock quotations as regarding this individual stock as the body has been selling short, see? We will find these mean as the prices and variations as come to this particular stock. These are turned to physical forces, yet as each are presented, the entity shall use same in that way and manner as is in keeping with the lessons as are being taught and given to the body from day to day.

12. (Q) Does this mean Pan Pet stock that I am now short will sell at 49 or 50 dollars per share before it sells much above its present price? (A) It will.

13. (Q) Does this dream indicate I may use this information for my own profit? (A) Use information for own profit, provided same is kept in that way and manner as the lessons of the others are given for the use and for the application of self from one to another, see?

14. (Q) May I give this information to others that they may benefit? (A) Through this, as has been seen, is one of the manners in which the entity attains that information as gained.

15. (Q) "I seemed to be trying to solve that book dream - the wrapping of all those books. I saw yellow telegram blanks indicating messages." (A) This, as we see, an attempt of the inductive forces to correlate for the deductive forces an interpretation of visions as are seen and understood as being messages to the entity. These ARE messages, as truths and as are being given, these give a development in a physical, financial, moral and spiritual world, for the development of self in each and every channel. Used correctly they become as the words of life. Incorrectly, they bring those same conditions that would be a hindrance, as has often been given.
