1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of Apt. ..., ... St., N.Y. City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had here before. The dreams, as we see, are in that way and manner as have been given. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Monday Night, April 5, or Tuesday Morning, April 6, 1926. "My mother, father, I and company, were preparing to entertain guests at cards. We were getting out cards and chips when my mother noticed that my father was ill. My mother sent me for a glass of water for him, stating: 'He has fever!' I went out into the kitchen and got Dad a glass of warm water, stating that would be better for him. He seemed to grow worse and turning upon me choked me. I struggled and complained and only because of his weakened physical condition was I able to break his grasp." (A) In this there is presented to the entity, in this emblematical manner, much of the conditions as are being weighed in the mental mind of the entity, in the work, writing, that the entity is attempting to do. With the change in conditions, as project so much of the physical into that of the mental, spiritual and subconscious forces, there is seen that the entity wavers with duty in self and in that as to be accomplished. The entity may see an illustration of same, as is given in Holy Writ by St. John, the divine, in which there is illustrated in the book of life, as this: "And I saw the little book, and I took it and ate it up, and it became sweet in my mouth, but when in mine belly bitter as gall." As is seen in these lessons then, as are gained from this: ILLS, mental and physical, are to the entity those conditions that would be as succor and strength, rather than as producing that which would "turn again and rend thee."

4. (Q) Is this my guide showing me how physical illness reacts upon me mentally and physically to harm me, rather than aid? That is, strangles me mentally, so to speak? (A) As given. Strangles mentally when the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, enter in and give the pre-eminent position in the inmost self of the entity, bringing physical debilitation, mental debilitation, spiritual unrest.
5. (Q) "Then it seemed my father changed into some kind of an animal, monkey or ape, and was abducted by some stranger and more powerful brute. My mother, [137] and I, pursued, and we noticed the abductor choking the abducted (my father in animal form) into unconsciousness. Unable to stand it any longer, I drew a pistol and shot the large animal, bringing him low and rescuing the abducted. The latter was unconscious, but still alive, and in my sorrow and rage I turned to the kidnapper, who was lying wounded and dying on the ground, and said: 'You brute!' 'It is a wonder to me God lets men like you manifest His Power in the physical plane!' As I spoke he changed into a policeman, a blue coat, and tried to talk to me or answer me, but I continued to renounce him. I felt in the back of my head that Man manifested in physical plane according to set law - not some whim or by any special dispensation of an exalted ruler." (A) In this there is the continuation in the way and manner of presenting these same truths as are outlined from the first. As is seen, when the entity loosens self from this message, or from these truths, by this physical and mental debilitation, or pre-occupation of mind and soul or inmost self with other conditions, some thing, someone, some higher force, partakes, or moves away that which would be of help or assistance, and in its removal there is seen within the entity that which is desired by self, that which would prove helpful to self, being removed, and there comes the desire to overtake and re-take, and to make same "thine own", and as this comes about, we see the changes, the lessons, the reasoning, as it were, from within, OR the subconscious now projecting self into that as has been enacted as an experience before the entity. The lesson then: Keep that thou hast in hand in that way and manner in which same may be made more beneficial in spiritual, mental, moral and financial manners, for true the laws are set in motion, and the portions of the divine spark are manifest in the world, with their various forms of taking on that power to use or make same for good or for bad. See?
6. (Q) "I saw, felt or heard some demonstration of the One Mind, of Will manifesting its faculties in the finite minds
900-220 Page 3
of man and then returning to the One Mind again." (A) This the attempt of the subconscious or soul mind to REASON WITH the superconscious of the entity that as has been visioned in this, see? for more and more, as the lessons are gained, more and more, as a consciousness is attained by this entity, [900], into the various mysteries of the mind, the mental forces, the body mind, those contingencies as are shown as relative to each phase and position of same, and as the entity gains more of this consciousness, more and more is the INMOST soul seeing, viewing, understanding, the depth, breadth, height, of all as pertain to will, mind and force, universal, infinite and finite forces in the earth's plane.
7. (Q) Explain in terms of the will - i.e. define will. What is it? (A) Will is that faculty of the body mind with which man either expresses the selfish desires of the flesh or THE WILL of the Father. See? "I will arise and go to my father." "Father, give me MY portion. I WILL go into the world and seek." See the variation in the two? One, I will, for own individual. I WILL arise and go to my father, coming subservient to the Will of the Whole, and a manifestation of self's, or self desire. In this we see the two operations of will, and through same there may be gained that purportful, or that as is meant by will or will's force.
8. (Q) Is the will free - James [William James] says God's Will is limited to the laws which He is Himself and may, of course, be nothing else, for He is perfect, and the possibility of a freedom of will to be anything else than eternally perfect implies imperfection, which is impossible to God. However, God's Will to create, says James, is unlimited - infinite, or new laws are in constant process of formation, but each new process is but a variation of the One Substance called God, in a different creative activity. Now Man in flesh is this infinite Free Will in finite form, and thus may express itself as freely in finite form as the One Will in Infinite - i.e. may use physical laws to create physical conditions, but may not change those laws. Neither may God change Himself, which are the laws, except to create in an infinite manner, just so we in finite may use laws to create in finite. The finite mind trying to change the laws to meet a finite desire or viewpoint brings finite lack of harmony and suffering because the law is fixed and will function in one manner only - the perfect manner. Physical ambition overlooks this and brings consciousness of suffering, yet in this finite manner alone may the infinite
900-220 Page 4
faculties achieve a development of self consciousness of infinite creation, for here we see symbolically expressed the result of our spiritual faculties. The will then is free to use every physical force as it chooses, provided the force is used for the achievement of its creative purposes. The law is a functioning process, may become self conscious of each element and use these functioning processes in the physical life exactly as we think they should function, or as we think they should not function. Upon our decision rests our benefit to self - this choice to live one or another concept constitutes free will, but this freedom does not eliminate our suffering if we choose wrongly. Through this process our concept grows as to the exact functioning of God's creative activities and as each incarnation into the physical adds to the consciousness of these various infinite activities in finite form, the subconscious faculties further awaken to the One Will, that expresses its Intellect in terms of Creation. Correct? (A) Correct in so far as this is stated in the manner as has been given. The better illustration of same may be used in those two views as are given, for, as we see - come, we will make man in our own image. In image, His Image, created He man, "and breathed into him the breadth of life, and he became a living soul." Now, the two are combined in that as has been given in the illustration of the application of will, in subserviency to those laws as are set in motion, yet MAN a portion free willed, but hedged about by that WILL of the Perfect One, and, in the obeying or disobeying, enjoys or suffers, as is seen.
9. (Q) "Then I was sitting in a big tall high chair in a restaurant. Others were seated under me - or at lower levels in partitions in the same chair. We were eating and this chair was near a turn in the counter. I reached for my girl companion, seated right at the curve in the counter. As I did so, we laughed and were happy. 'I am near to the curve, anyway,' I said." (A) This, as is seen, the entity's gaining that concept of the height, the position, the place, the entity, with the application of the will, making self's will, purpose and intent one WITH the universal, attains, and does attain, over those about him who would feed at the table of the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. As the recognition of this ability in self holds to that one intent and purpose, there may be seen that Truth, the companion, is ever near at hand, bringing joy and comfort, and peace. Keep thou, then, in that way that leads to eternal life.
10. We are through for the present.
