1. GC: You will have before you the bodies and enquiring minds of [900], of Apt. ..., ... St., N.Y. City, and [137], of ... St., N.Y. City, the dreams these bodies had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900] and [137]. These we have had here before. The dreams, as we see, come to these entities in that way and manner as has been outlined for these bodies. Each in that way that each may use same to the betterment of the mental, the physical, the moral, the spiritual, the financial, welfare of the individual. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) [[137]'s dreams]: Wednesday Night, May 5, or Thursday Morning, May 6, 1926. "I was at what seemed to be a family party. We were eating refreshments when Edward Blum and someone started to fight. Hot words led to a fist fight and I finally separated them." (A) In this there is presented to the entity that warning as to the diets in the physical forces of the body; for, as has been given that the entity should be warned as respecting that that is taken in the system, especially in the way of sweets and of those things that overload the weakened condition in the red blood supply of the body, as there is seen in the vision, the entity attempts and seems unable at first, yet overcomes the conditions, same as may be seen in the physical manner that the body will, through will's force of the physical body, overcome those conditions that would be detrimental to the best interests of the body, mentally and physically.
As is seen in the special individual, as that individual represents in the mental mind of the body, [137], certain conditions in the physical or moral plane, then those that are represented by same are those that should be warned of, for, as is seen, there has been given that the entity should
900-234 Page 2
take some stimulants occasionally for the weakness in the physical forces of the body, but of a specific nature, and that will have certain specific conditions produced by same. Then, in taking the sweets in certain forms, as are seen, these produce a different character of alcohol within the body itself. This nature, or this character of same, with the condition, proving then detrimental. Thence, be warned of the physical conditions of the body, especially as the warm weather begins, see?
4. (Q) "Henry Schatzkin and I were in the smoking room of the Stock Exchange and he was making fun of me because of my beliefs. I replied to him roughly and told him some of his actions were far more disgusting than the peculiarity, seemingly, of my convictions. He became very sarcastic." (A) In this there is seen those conclusions, as it were, of the body conscious mind's thought on certain conditions, presented in this emblematical manner, of how these may appear in the mind of other individuals, and, as there is seen, the entity himself resents the attitude of others. Then, in applying this condition to the self as a lesson, the entity should see and know (mentally) that, as this is obnoxious to self in criticism by others of entity's convictions and of entity's tenets, same may be as obnoxious to others for entity to criticize THEIR beliefs, and in the applying of same there will be seen that each hold to the same condition in while, yet only in the application of truths as are manifested do they disagree; yet in the end each attain, in a way and manner, the same position, for each individual is, in reality (inwardly) that manifestation of the individual's conception of the impelling force from within, whether it be termed or called God, Nature, Universal Forces, Natural Powers, or what not; for many we find often speak that with the mouth that the life and action of same is a disavowal of that as is spoken. Often this is true in the moral, the spiritual, the physical plane.
5. (Q) In business, it has been noised about that our trading is largely governed by psychic relationships - i.e. our own visions and their interpretation by reading. Is there any reference of this condition in this? Need we anticipate ridicule in the future on this score? How should it be met or dealt with? (A) In that way and manner as has been seen, for, as is seen in the first presentation of this condition here: Does the entity hold within self that such information, or such dealings by the entity through information as received from any source, within or WITHOUT self, is DESERVING of
900-234 Page 3
ridicule? Then expect same. Does the entity feel that the entity itself should be in the position to answer any that would ridicule entity for such actions? Then prepare self to answer same, for this will become necessary. Does the entity find that the ridicule from others is on account of sarcastic remarks, or otherwise, as respecting entity's position in such conditions? Then entity should act and speak in the way and manner that is in keeping with the entity's conception of that that is right; NOT in the eyes of OTHERS, but of ENTITY'S conception of Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts.
6. (Q) [900]'s, Wednesday Night, May 5, or Thursday Morning, May 6, 1926. "I seemed to be enlisted in the army as a private and was marching with my squad. It seemed we were marching in into the hall of the old Sunday school, when suddenly my lieutenant ordered me to step out for not keeping my line straight. For not following in line I was to be brought before the commander on charges. I spoke to another soldier in service and he told me he had been sentenced to a heavy prison term and that he had suffered and gone through much. I felt this couldn't happen to me. He seemed to be on the mat again, so to speak. We both went before the commander to be tried. I felt awkward before the judge - didn't know just what to do. I noticed my lieutenant adopt the proper and customary form, clicking his heels together and saluting. I tried to follow suit, but was clumsy and self conscious. The charge was made against me, and I wondered why so much fuss was made about such a little thing and why I was taken so to task when I really intended no wrong. The commander stood up and drew lines on a blackboard to explain it to me. It all seemed unnecessary detail, making something out of nothing - paying too much attention to this detail. Suppose I was a little out of line, why fuss so - why not let it pass - why so particular with me? So I reasoned and felt. The commander drew an illustration so: [See Source Key File #900 for hand-drawn diagram re 900-234]. Pointing out that the solid line was the proper line of direction, the One course, and that while I followed it up to a point, I then varied, strayed in direction as the dotted line indicated or wavered back and forth from the condition of a straight to a crooked line, thus causing an imperfect whole line - i.e. not a straight line at times. At this, it seemed a whole class of subordinate students appeared, many raising their hands to ask questions - most it seemed the same question, namely: 'We do not mean or intend to get out of line from certain points - why punish us?' The teacher or commander for the
900-234 Page 4
moment disregarded our signalling hands and went on showing how we waver or spoil our lines, our one straight course at times at different points, at which we grew eager and impatient, I in particular. The commander finally came to that proposition we wanted to ask, knowing full well the question in our minds. 'What if you don't intend getting out of line?' he asked. 'That is it,' I blurted out, as though to say 'At last you come to the important point, which you seem to have missed.' My lieutenant, angered that I should dare to talk to my superior and not observe proper military form and respect, clapped his hand over my mouth and kept it there. It was none too gentle either. In an impatient and exasperated way and gesticulating the commander used a pointer to indicate cell windows in a jail and said: 'Then if you are guiltless and not subject to punishment because of unmeaning breaking of the law (here to keep in line), then so also is this man and that and that and that,' - indicating men in jail or those occupying the cells. Turning to my lieutenant, simultaneously, with this explanation by the commander, I said through his hand that muffled my voice: 'You can take your hand away, I am not going to talk any more.' I tried to smile and be good natured. He became incensed at my seeming insubordination. 'How dared I talk to a superior? I should speak when spoken to and obey - not question or talk!' Then he thrashed me thoroughly. 'I am going to give you a little advance punishment,' he said, and proceeded to do so. He did a good job too, for I felt his blows fall as I dropped to the floor. All the while the commander, himself angered, continued explaining. Now then, thrashed and mortified, I picked myself up. Self conscious again, I wondered how I should look. If I looked angry my punishment became evident to all, and besides if I deserved it why be angry at the lieutenant? My eyes, I remembered, reflected my soul, the inner mind power, so I caused no look of anger to come into my eyes by reflecting a condition of mind that cast out any condition of anger. Again, should I manifest self sympathy and thus show weakness? How could I manifest other than the pain (physical) and mortification (mental), I felt? By banishing the thought of both from my mind. I saw my own eyes, not flashing in anger, not full of self sympathy, but expressionless, my head up and shoulders squared. So I marched out of the room to the jail and my attitude, for the first time excited favorable comment from my immediate superior - the lieutenant. Then in the jail cell paying the penalty, I noticed the filthy mattress on the couch and the cell bare. 'Alright,' I thought, 'If I have to pay this
900-234 Page 5
penalty, I'll use the same method.' I looked at the bars and put them from my mind and they disappeared and in their place sunshine and a beautiful countryside view appeared. That mattress worried me though, for its filth may indicate someone diseased slept there before. I though of putting my head where the feet generally were, but that would do no good. This was a condition not so easily disposed of." (A) In this there is seen and experienced by this entity, in the mental faculties of same, that correlation of subconscious forces of the entity in that experience necessary for the mental mind to gain that full conception of the entity's attitude towards the conditions in the physical manner, that are presented by those who would in any way and manner attempt to deter the entity from the path that has been set by the entity, in the way of following the truth as appears in the correct way and manner for this entity, and in same (as is seen that the entity reasons from within self for that necessary to meet or cope with punishments that are meted out to the body, for indiscretions that are unintentional on the part of the entity in physical action), as is seen, the entity filling the mind with that that is beautiful, and does not place self first, or does not condemn, the bars turn to sunshine and open spaces, or as may be seen in another way and manner - that the entity should ever be ready to answer for that truth, that faith, that lies within, and as is seen by punishment by superior numbers, by superior in rank, these appear as are seen only in the material or in the physical life, for when the mental mind is made One with the Universal Forces, then the overcoming is as that necessary to make the body, mentally and physically, free indeed; for, as is seen, the strength for the physical comes by the intent, by the purpose, of the mind, for the Mind is the Builder in the physical as well as in the spiritual, and again, as is seen in the manner of the couch, or of the mattress that is filthy, and the reasoning as is seen - that when these may not be removed, even as the bars, that the fault lies from within, and in the entity's or in the mental force of the individual toward that of the force as applied, and as this again may be taken as a whole by the entity in applying those lessons as are seen in the application of the truths as are being set as truth, in that way that others may apply same in their individual lives, for the Mind the Builder - the Mind filled with good, there is no place for the subordination - of that which is superior.
7. We are through for the present.
