1. GC: You will have before you the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you, and you will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had here before. Ready for dream.
3. (Q) Wednesday Night or Thursday Morning, August 12, 1926. Two figures clothed in black with costumes like those of Ku Klux Klan. They were representative of my enemies, and as two of their tribe came off a platform to greet me I shook hands with them in a friendly manner. Then, contrary to what I seemed to think right, I drew the two heads off the figures and found a sharp dagger attached to each. With the latter, against my better judgment, I started beating on the heads of the two men. One finally caved in and sank to the floor. The other seemed to be of tougher stuff and turned on me, chasing me thru what seemed our old apartment house at 101 Street, N.Y. I turned on him and threw the dagger at him and it pierced his jaw. He continued to pursue me and I felt lost. I tried to trick him by dodging around portieres and back and forth from one room to another. Finally he approached me - I felt a great fear and lost. (A) In this there are presented to this entity many of the various phases of dream, vision, of mental and of body, and of subconscious forces. As is seen, the individuals as are viewed represent that of the fear as lies innate in the individual, through those experiences of the entity in the present physical world, by being subjugated by mental forces that have over ridden the desire in the mental and spiritual forces of the entity. In the meeting of the two represents how the entity should meet these fears, for within same may be found that that will prove of the defensive nature. In the change or charge on each shows or represents that condition that would arise by the entity allowing the fear to overcome, and then put self to rout by same. In the

place, in the conditions, represent then to the entity the source from which the fear arose, for that in each entity, in the mental and body forces, builded by the experience, is the shield of every condition to be met, see?
4. (Q) Night of Saturday, August 14, or Sunday morning, August
5. (Q) Thru the gate I made my way to the train, which started to move just as I came up to it. I ran to get aboard and increased my speed as the train gained momentum. With all my might I ran alongside and finally boarded the train. [2886] was standing on the back platform watching me and motioning to me. (A) This a continuation, yet, as we see, incomplete within self - that is, the dream, not in the individual.
6. (Q) We drove in an auto across the river to the nearby Jersey Heights. I noticed a R.R. track and bridge that we crossed way up on the hill. We came to what seemed [2886]'s home. It didn't seem what it should be for one of his wealth, as it was in back of a store. Yet I said this was a beautiful suburb for a home and wished I lived in such a nice environment. [140] and others objected, as it was too far away. (A) A continuation of the same vision, still incomplete within themselves, for, as we find, these are of the entity's own making, visioning through that of the attempt, as it were, (unconscious it may have been) to force issues, as conditions are arising in the mental and physical forces of the entity.
7. (Q) Adjoining [2886]'s home and communicable with it was a Catholic church. The latter was selling some shares of stock or bonds at $42 a share and I bought some. Herbert Herff estimated that I had bought 3000 shares, which surprised me. I tried hard to sell it back to the church, but they would only bid me $32 a share for it - a great loss. Finally I found a market on the stock exchange at $42 that enabled me to sell even. (A) This still same continuation of many of the various conditions as will be presented to the entity again. This, as it were, a forecast of that that may be brought by the conscious forces attaining through that, rather than by forcing issue through thought.
8. (Q) Night of August 15, or Monday morning, August 16. First part: I was in an advanced school, yet not in the upper grades, but taking up advanced subjects. There were many of them, among which was mathematics and literature. The homework was heavy and I struggled under the burden of it. Then the teacher, to make it easier for me, reduced the

amount of reading and also gave lighter fiction of a more romantic nature. The letter "C" was put to mark the end of this lesson, "A" and "B" having been previously used. (A) In this there is seen that emblematical condition of those forces as are passing through the experiences of the entity in the mental development of same. School represents, then, that of the mental abilities of the entity, and the studies of same through the realms of those conditions in which the mental, and the literature of the entity as is being prepared, is as a portion of the school, which is, as considered by the entity, of the highest nature, yet entity, self, feels physically or mentally incapacitated for that which the entity is striving for, and, as is seen, the teacher representing those forces through which the entity attains that that develops the mental forces, aids in giving the entity that necessary force to add to those, and, as is seen, as is represented by the end, sees the high forces to which the entity does, will attain, and the good as will be achieved by pressing onward ever onward, for in this is the truth and the light.
9. (Q) Second part: Then I took out the math book. Here was my bugbear. I turned to a lesson in the first part of the book and on the page were many problems. The teacher marked one for me to solve. I recalled that I had been told how to solve this problem - i.e. add the numbers all together - then in some way get the multiples. It seemed I had forgotten the exact method and was somewhat bewildered. Then the practical application of the problem was shown me. Carved out of wood an image sat as a king on a huge base that acted as a throne. Then if this wooden base was so and so many feet high and if by mathematical computation the king rested upon such and such "multiples" - with these given facts an arithmetical solution the problem was: "How long will it take to dethrone this king - seemingly but an image or false?" (A) Just as is then indicated, this portion is that the teacher, or the instructor, those forces through which the entity may attain those necessary instructions for the conditions, and, as is also represented to the entity, that these may be presented in a lighter way and manner, though the great truths remain in the same way and manner, and through the lighter vein reaching many more. Just the same in this - the mathematics the bugbear, the condition that fear presents self in - that is, that entity may not attain to that place, that desire is removed, through the assistance, the aid, of that force, that impelling force, that brings the aid to all.

10. (Q) Third part: In this connection - that is, in preparation for conditions connected with just this problem, I saw opposite many riding motorcycles at a dangerously low angle in order to avoid an enemy. I went into some training, for I fenced with a sword with many and proved exceptionally skillful. "You are excellent at it," praised my companions. "I am only a beginner," I replied modestly. Then came war in earnest. Our group retreated to a room or fortress. In one or in groups the enemy entered and as they did so I slew them with my sword or spear. Once I sat down to rest, and it seemed one of the enemy had gotten in. The latter sneaked up behind me and was about to strike at me with his sword. "Look out, [900]!" some of our men shouted. I saw the shadow on the wall, saw the upraised weapon and jumped just in time to escape death. As I turned on my enemy, he called "Kamarad!" "Kamarad, nothing," I replied, and slew him. Then two others of the opposing side entered. They were of very high rank and wore brilliant uniforms decorated with medals. I was in complete command now. The conspicuous two saluted me and begged for mercy. "Mercy," I said. "Mercy - wherein do you deserve it?" [137] interrupted here. "Silence!" I commanded. "Can't I even speak?" asked [137] humorously. "Silence!" I reiterated. Then, turning to my antagonists, I continued: "You people ought pray to God to forgive you for causing me to do this." Then I threw the weapon and slew them both. I was the master and recognized as such. (A) In this another emblematical condition as regarding the studies, and of the preparation for those conditions as are being presented by the entity. In that of the cycle to avoid the enemy, in the low way and manner, or the stooping position, or the angle as is seen, just so the angle, as the truth, will be presented by the entity to the peoples, to prevent much of the criticism or scoffing that the entity has long feared. Direct conditions, then, that may be applied in the entity's life by the entity, in the conditions in the attempts of the literary forces of the entity.
11. (Q) The Leviathan again? The previous master, Achilles? Achilles killed his enemies - he was master to this extent, but [900] blesses his enemies - thus becomes master, not in a limited fashion (Anchorage) but of life and its creative action (Leviathan). Correct? [See 900-38 Ck. Life on Achilles.] (A) Correct.
12. (Q) That is, I wonder at times, why life plays me such a trick as making me that which cannot again be the master

in the way Achilles was. This the answer - i.e. that Achilles mastered the earth and death was his weapon. [900] may master the Universe, tho the earth may not even know it - altho later it may, for now "life" is the weapon. (A) (Interrupting) Correct.
13. (Q) A leader in spirit - yet Moses fought and was a good soldier and did not believe himself capable of spiritual leadership, but God said, "Yes, I will help you." I, too feel too insignificant for the part - feel often like throwing up the sponge. My present leadership requires more courage than Achilles - it is not conspicuous - it is a lonesome job and not understood. Peculiarly enough before this dream my mother said to me: "Don't act as tho you are beaten. Be happy with the rest of them - show them you are in spite of them - fight!" God has said, "I will help you," - not in general but directly to me. Then a little of Achilles' courage might do me good just now. I may again lead my forces - not against the Trojans - but against ignorance, blindness, unconsciousness and death. (A) (Interrupting) and superstition.
14. (Q) (Continuing) Correct? (A) Correct.
15. That is all.
15. Entrance or gate leading to a train about to depart from a R.R. station. The gate was almost closed and I just managed to get thru in time. The gateman said: "What they don't understand is that the gate almost closed indicates that the train is about to depart and the gate completely closed indicates that the train has left." (A) This a portion of vision in which the entity finds the body mind going through those experiences as regarding the conditions respecting stocks, and that particularly of rails, see? Not complete - would be presented again later.
16. Then, take counsel with self, and through same gain that closeness of the God, the Father, with the entity, even as Moses spoke face to face. Take then from that counsel that courage, that desire, to throw self in that position of defense for a principle, even as Achilles, and the answer will be the courage, the leadership, the position, exercised by the present entity above them all.
