This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of January, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... St., N.Y. City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had before. The dreams - ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Morning of January 8, 1927 Saturday. I was talking to Cayce, who was seated at a desk. He said: "Now, we've got to have a showdown. Either we have a hospital or not. Do something now or don't." "I'm sorry," I replied, "I've done about the best I could, so I guess I'll have to leave it to someone else. I only know to begin small and grow. You know the reading said we could begin with one room." Getting a doctor and money seemed to have stumped me. I felt I understood the small beginning - the egg or seed of life and how it grew to large proportions and how we could do likewise. The beginning was hard and I could run the thing big or little, but the finances, the doctor - that is, complying with legal requirements to get a doctor to cooperate - that was the thing. So I was ready to retire. However, Cayce decided otherwise. Either I was to handle it or no one. He turned back to the desk intending to continue his course of instruction and general work until the hospital could be started under my direction. I do enjoy directing such a work - yet I don't seem to be the high mucky much, except that strict adherence to instructions from readings must be maintained and the hospital be run as a manifestation of the ideal of seeking to make man whole, or a manifestation in flesh physically, mentally, and spiritually that which life is in its manifesting operation of the inner man. In this connection I have always desired to give a course of instruction in conjunction with the institute, using the readings as demonstrations. So Cayce decided I was to run the matter and no one else. Then I

seemed in the office of some broker or banker who seemed interested in the work and hospital. I felt I knew just what I wanted, but in order to be tactful put myself as one seeking his advice. I asked him what we should do to start our institute. He smiled and turned me over to a woman who was a relative of some kind or a secretary. A man accompanied me. I put the same question to her in the same manner. "Well," she replied, "If you stick to helping people physically and to rubbing lenses (this meant prescriptions for glasses for the eyes - or I understood it so, as she wore eye glasses), you'll be alright. That course of instruction he intends (meaning Cayce) to give would be very good and ought bring him some money." This was so near exactly what I wanted to do with the institute, that I smiled and winked at the man and he nodded and winked back. Then I said: "I'll tell you - we need money to start - about $10,000." "In installments" interrupted the man, looking at me significantly. "This ought be very easy for us to raise," I said. She took out her check book and gave me a check for $2500. "What we want to do is to raise funds," I continued, "and with your help it can be done. I am one of the [900]'s, of [900] Bros. and between us we ought have no trouble raising this money." She agreed to cooperate. (A) In this we find there are many various phases of those conditions through which the mental proclivities of the mental mind of the entity have passed as regarding conditions surrounding the institute, and that as has been thought, contemplated, and in a manner planned as regarding same - and, as is seen, conditions arise in which there is more than one condition that comes to the point where a show down is to be made, and as these conditions arise - as is seen in that way and manner in which it is to be handled - in that same way and manner must it be handled, yet in the end - as is seen by the way and manner in which the course is followed out - through the channel, through those means wherein one who has been benefited, especially toward the restoration of the eyesight, will be the channel in which monies will come, which would give the first intimation, or the first nucleus for the larger operations. These, as is seen, then, are not only as the symbols, but as actual conditions symbolically given - for, as these conditions arise - that is, only in the way and manner as is thought, felt, outlined, that is intent and purpose of the entity, [900], in this way and manner shall it be conducted. When these conditions arise within themselves, wherein there will become individuals interested, we will find that through these channels, as has been given - individuals, groups,

classes, masses, states, nations - will contribute, for from little beginnings do the great conditions arise, and often, as has been given by the forces as do manifest in material world, "Make haste slowly." Again has been said, "Wait ye on the Lord." Be sure, then, in each and every step, and make haste only when sure in the way which leads in keeping with those conditions - for, as is seen, the conditions present themselves, and will be carried out.
4. (Q) Who is this man and woman? (A) These will arise, as we have seen. There rests with an individual the opportunity to associate self with same, and this may be laid aside - hence would apparently bring about consternation by one refusing, yet, as is seen, there arises again the condition through which one has been aided in respect to the eyesight, or lenses, or glasses, or the eyes made whole. Again through these channels, such as these, there will be found - as to WHO, individually, wait and see! Make haste slowly.
5. (Q) Along with this dream came an indication of trouble with my bowels - of the eliminations of my system. (A) As is seen, as these represent to the entity the care and attention as is necessary to fulfilling those conditions and elements for the body, the same conditions are necessary in fulfilling those requirements to build an institution, through which the application may be made of the information as may be obtained through Universal Forces, as applied to man's life in a physical, mental, and spiritual way and manner. Then apply for the entity that which would purge same of those conditions that are unruly, or bring a normal condition to the body. The same is applied to these conditions as regarding institution - bring about those that would purge that which would hinder or prevent the proper way of being assimilated, distributed, and builded.
6. (Q) Should I take osteopathic treatments and Pluto water? (A) Osteopathic treatments and Pluto.
7. (Q) The Lord in the form of a mist or cloud spoke to me. This is not the first experience of this kind. I beheld on a former occasion the cloud or mist which spoke, saying: "Some partially developed in this universe of power." Again I beheld this same white cloud which spoke saying: "Development of an organization OF this energy to gain IN this energy a knowledge of self BEING THIS ENERGY." So again in this experience, again I enjoyed beholding the mist or cloud and hearing the voice say: "All must eventually come to the Lord, even as did the Jewish Fathers of old. Yes, all must come to the church. There alone is found

peace. There alone is found happiness. All must come to the church and each and everyone must come to the Lord - if only at death! Yes, it is worth preparing for this life in and of the eternal for eternity." I felt my ideals were too high for some - that I asked too much of the flesh, for I had come and knew the joy, the happiness of living the ideals of my mind, a condition that seemed only worthy of ridicule to many others and termed by some childishness. Here in the mist I received the answer: "All in the ages throughout all lives all must come to the Lord!" (A) This is again and again enumerating and renumerating [RE-enumerating] to the entity those forces, those channels, those blessings, which are as to the entity those of the staying, or of that of the Universal Power giving to the entity the O.K., as it were, to the endeavors of the entity - and, as is seen, is set as the criterion for life in EVERY - EVERY - phase of its existence in the earth's plane. Not too high, not too low, not too wide, not too deep - but in every sense, each and every phase must be presented in that way and manner. See?
8. (Q) Meaning all MUST, positively, definitely, and without condition come to the ideals I have adopted, before they may understand the worth whileness of life for life's sake, of the joy and glory of seeing the Creator in the cloud, in the mist, in the fire or flashes of light, in the shadows, and hearing His Voice, saying: "Be of good cheer. They who refuse you for dollars and cents - who seek only their selfish ends must in the end knuckle right down to me - the Lord - and to those who become one with me"? A correct allegorical interpretation? (A) Become to that point wherein the oneness of purpose, the oneness of self, is lost in the fullness of the oneness of the Creative Energy, or God. Not as I have accepted, but as all must accept even as I have accepted, see? Not a truth because I accepted, but a truth I HAVE accepted.
9. (Q) Saturday Night, Jan. 8, or Sunday Jan. 9, 1927. "You will buy yourself 100 shares of National Dairy Products at 72-1/2 - 5/8 or 73." (A) This, as is seen, represents to the entity another phase of those conditions which have been presented to the entity, and, as has been given, is a portion of those conditions of the entity's, in which the mental forces of the entity present themselves from time to time. These present then, in the various forms which represent stocks - the Dairy Products being that of one in which we will find that these will present themselves for a money making

proposition for the time being. Hence the amount as is given - only one hundred shares, or the fullness in one, with the naughts or cyphers.
10. (Q) Meaning I should buy just 100 shares of this and wait? (A) Buy just 100 shares and wait.
11. (Q) Morning of Monday, Jan. 10. Some interruption of a written examination that I was taking by Mrs. A. Bierhoff who wanted me to consider the purchase of Vivandu stock. Also some connection here with my Uncle [91] of ..., Ind. (A) This, as is seen, presents to the entity another phase, as it were, of the entity's ability to influence others as regarding those conditions that are presented. That is, this stock as is seen has and is one in which some of the entity's relations in the earth's plane are interested. Then that in which the entity is able to advise as regarding these. Not as DO as I would do, but this as I SEE it, do as THOU would do with this, when all information considered. Acting, then, in that way and manner.
12. (Q) Will Vivandu act in a manner that would make it a profitable purchase for these parties Bierhoff and [91] - is that what is indicated? (A) That's what is indicated.
13. (Q) Voice: "Remember Otto Kahn's son-in-law lost money and wants to get it back." Just what is here meant and how should its significance be used by [900]? (A) That as Otto Kahn represents a certain force or element or relation in the financial forces, and as the conditions show that certain conditions brought about those conditions and that recuperation desired - these, as to the entity, represent conditions in a physical way and manner. As the individual views these, then may the entity apply to self's abilities and self's condition to recuperate in the same way and manner - applying same in that oneness of purpose that must be applied, would these be carried to their full significance.
