Time of Reading 12:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... St., New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read them to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: YES, we have the body consciousness of the body here, [900]. This we have had before. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Morning of Aug. 16. A shaded gray colored figure that I recognized as the spirit entity, which in manifested flesh form was called Elbert Gary. I had been seeking him intensely and found him, for I said, "You, Elbert Gary, now find me seeking an interview on secular affairs with which you are so familiar and well posted, and in which you manifested such great power of application. You, who now see me from the inside out, judge me whether I am worthy of your help and guidance in these or not." He said to me: "You dealt with hard fighting, battling men, who fight every inch of the way." (A) This is as it is! Go on!
4. (Q) This is just what Gary would have said, did say, I believe, in guidance - for, you see, he knew intimately the men who battle stock marketwise and in whose stocks I try to trade. No one knew them better than he, and now that he sees them from the inside, he knows them still better. Therefore this word of warning - to be cautious when buying or selling stocks for men who seek control thereof are often of the character that let nothing stand in their way, if they can help it, of achieving their purpose to gain money. Correct? (A) Correct.
5. (Q) Being by temperament and in purpose unfit to cope with such and not being desirous of using their ruthless and often unscrupulous methods (I have seen it in Chrysler & Hudson and Manhattan Electrical Supply), well not to trust myself to their power - correct? (A) Correct.

6. (Q) Yet this experience seemed to permeate my being. Something took flame - Gary seemed to touch a spark that he must have seen existed in me. Achilles could give blow for blow. Achilles' knees did not sink when flesh challenged. Achilles could give measure for measure. Achilles lives in flesh again and he as [900] need be no milk sop. The Master met the needs of the hour when He threw the money changers bodily out of the temple. They said of Paul that his body was not much to look upon, his speech mediocre, but with what power he wrote and held his ground. Then if that which I have at hand to deal with is men of this calibre, then I should show enough skill and foresight as to keep out of their power, yet sufficient strength and determination to stay right among them and battle my way to success WITHOUT using their methods. To accomplish my purpose of manifesting a higher life value in flesh terms, I will use these battling hard fighting men as shall be shown me to do, even if they don't realize that I am doing for them ultimate good. As Gary said: "I see in the future only cause for optimism" - This correct? (A) Correct - for unto thee has been given those abilities and those forces - when applied in the correct way and manner - to gain that insight of those visions as are obtained from those from from the Borderland, from the inside out. In applying same in the secular or the material plane, apply same even as the Master of men, and as the Master of those that were made teachers among men.
7. We are through for the present.
