1. [900]: Now you will have before you the body [900], present in this room, and the various phases of questions that are in his mind and endeavors that his daily pursuits involve, advising and guiding him upon those questions that I will present to you. The first question that I would take up is on the book that I have written, "Heaven on Earth." [GD's note: See Source File Key #900 for copy published in '28 re 900-340.]

2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [900] - this we have had here before. Book. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Schuster is now considering it. Will he accept it for publication? (A) Would those same conditions remain as are in the minds of those whom he has consulted in regards same, with some alterations as given, this will be accepted for publication, and will reach into the sixteen thousandth edition.

4. (Q) In order to be prepared, what will I have to alter? (A) The presentation in some phases of that presented. Would be well that the body (when called upon to do so, and will be) go over same with an editor or correcter of manuscripts for publication, simplifying some of the manner of presentations as are seen. These should be done, however, in the body's own presentation and not in words of another, or presented in the body's own language and worded by another might be acceptable, see?

5. (Q) Who would it be best, in the light of the nature of the manuscript, for me to go over it with? (A) There are at least three individuals whom the publishers are submitting the manuscript to. Either of two of these would be satisfactory - the first and the last ones this presented to. This may be - this information may be obtained from Schuster.

6. (Q) What was the meaning of the dream in which I dreamed [136] told me Schuster would not accept the book, and I asked her if she dreamed that and she said yes? (A) That as anxiety and the expressions of same.

900-354 Page 2

7. (Q) Was it also anxiety when I saw Schuster [Max Schuster] leave the room and Rukeyser [Merryle S. Rukeyser] remain? (A) Also this OVER anxiety and the variations in the two are the variations as is necessary for the acceptance, see? EASILY would this be accepted in England.

8. (Q) What publisher in England? (A) Holt.

9. (Q) H - o - l - t ? (A) Holt - Henry Holt, Ltd.

10. (Q) Now, as regards the dream of last night in which a porter led me to the drawing room of Miss [301] and said a friend of hers ought easily make this girl-man do his wishes. I turned back and said "She isn't worrying me much," and returning to my own berth found it ransacked, a gold watch and chain strewn about, and I said, "Nothing is taken but everything is upset." (A) In an emblematical way and manner we find presented here a condition worthy of consideration, not only from the material phases as may be gathered from same but also from those of the spiritual mindedness as may be seen from the conditions as are shown in this emblematical way and manner. First we find these conditions as existent: We have an individual to whom the body finds that in many ways and manners represents, or presents an enigma in many ways; yet the secret of the success of the individual is as the own personality of the individual soul of the entity. GET ALL OF THAT - EVERY WORD! for in that alone may the whole situation be seen. In the study then of same we see manifested in this material experience an individual capable of applying all of those wiles and conditions as surround one for the furtherance of any element that the entity desires to push forward. In the element as represented by the word spoken by one of low estate is found the lowness of the expressions in the life of the entity, and that point the weakest in the armor of the desire of the individual. In the manner shown, that by not taking on that of the knowledge that was given as concerning the individual, the ability to meet the needs of the situation, even preventing through same the lack of others to do more than muss up, as it were, the own mind of the body. See? Now, in applying this to conditions in the mind of the entity, the body [900], with these elements of the impelling forces may apply then that necessary force to gain the perfect understanding OF the action of individual experience in the cosmic as well as the manifested forces in the material, and at the same time present to self that which -

900-354 Page 3

with the applied conditions - gives the better understanding to others, see?

11. (Q) That is, she can be a lesson to me? (A) Be a lesson to the individual, both from the material viewpoint as is viewed, also the lesson in as to how the experiences of an individual throughout the eons of expressiveness in and THROUGH the manifested plane, or earth's plane, may attain, and may lose or may gain that which is applied in the material or sensuous forces of the body.

12. (Q) How should I handle this woman? (A) With gloves always!

13. (Q) Any advice in business that might better enable me to prevent her from "walking off with the whole business?" (A) No fear of the body walking off with the whole business, will the entity always apply toward that individual that still superiority of the ability to apply the knowledge that makes of ANY element the impelling force in same; for in such application the entity is dependent upon that one for the better understanding even of self. See? This applies in this way and manner as respecting the individual: The knowledge that the body has respecting the mental development of self attracts first the body to the endeavors of the body, see? that is, the [302] attracted to [900] through the superiority of the MENTAL ATTAINMENTS OF [900], and [900] still with the knowledge of how the body with its weaknesses attains such a hold on others may always do the HOLDING, as it were. Figuratively speaking. Hence always handle with gloves. Never allowing that of the weaknesses of which the body is warned to enter in, in any phase, form or manner of expressions.

14. (Q) Can and should she help in our Association work? (A) In time.

15. (Q) Now, one question regarding [900-353] this morning's reading. I have been given by my father Reading, yet pending a reaction this week I sold Reading. Was this proper? (A) The activities as have been seen respecting these conditions are correct. [900], you find here many of those lessons as has been given as respecting the various phases of information that is given thee from period to period. In the coming week you will find and see many of those lessons that have been given thee working, as it were, in that complete circle of the WAYS in which the various elements enter to make the better understanding as respecting those conditions that make up the financial understanding of individuals; that is, in this particular stock we find MANY are delving at the present time and much is to be expected

900-354 Page 4

from the delving by those that would carry this high; yet reactions as are occurring will bring about the change in a way in which more will be given thee. Follow that closely. Thursday. Remember - Thursday.

16. (Q) Father, it will be given Thursday? (A) Be given Thursday.

17. (Q) As to just what to do in the matter. (A) As to just what to do in the matter. Study these conditions until then.

18. (Q) I have often wondered if you know my baby [142]. (A) Know my baby? Certainly! Much may be said as respecting these conditions, and later much may be given thee, [900], concerning relations before the entity entered into that of the physical plane again. Study along those lines as I have warned thee concerning thine son, for he - in thy keep - is in the way of bringing much comfort and much joy.

19. (Q) Now, regarding our Association work [see 254-38 Reports], would it be best that Edgar Cayce go to Birmingham, or that he go to Chicago and see [953], or that he go to New York and see [257] and his group? (A) Well that he go to all of these. As has been given, prepare the way. Where the way is prepared, go. Begin. DO something! Don't stand still! for we find, while there are seemingly impediments in the way, and there is the lack of concerted action on the part of many, considerest thou how LITTLE of what has been attained - or the elements even of that that is in action - is known by those who have only seen promises, visions, hopes and the various elements of promise heretofore? Present to each in the various ways that as is being done. Wait a moment, and then wait again for the call to the various points to begin a larger work; that is, necessary that a little time, a little thought be given to individuals in each place, that a greater work may be builded up. The personal contact necessary. Do that.

20. (Q) Who in Birmingham would be a good captain to see? (A) Here we have many various conditions to be considered. Well that at least three groups be made in this place. Such a one as Mrs. and Mr. Head [Alicia Joel Towers Head [Pres. National Writers' Council] and John D. Head] as one. Such a one as Evins [Judge Robert Benson Evins] as another. Such a one as Mr. and Mrs. Dillman [Charles W. and Gladys Dillman] as another, see?

21. (Q) Well that I go along, or wait and let Cayce go first? (A) Cayce should go - spend three to five days, then return, and when the work has been done by these that at

900-354 Page 5

least a week to ten days be given by both, or by three or four.

22. (Q) When would be the best time? (A) Now!

23. (Q) Return and then go to Chicago? (A) Be well to go to Chicago, then to Birmingham direct, then to New York. All may be done in the next two weeks.

24. (Q) Now there has been some consideration by the Board of creating a special kind of reading; that is, our readings as a generality consist in physical and life readings. Would it be wise, and should we create a classification of readings called special readings, to be given by special dispensation, and to include all kinds not already included in the physical and life, and charge extra price for special reading? (A) Not as yet. Many conditions, as will be seen, as various phases of the phenomena as is manifested is developed. First, do not present to the mind of any that the mercenary portion is put first and foremost, for that is the first element of material mindedness in the peoples as a mass. Such conditions would develop to that of causing misunderstandings. Only keep away from those elements so far as lieth within reason that are not included in the physical and the life purpose in the earth's plane.

25. We are through.
