1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had here before.
2. The dreams, as we see, come to the entity through those channels as have been outlined for the entity, and are to be applied in the physical, the mental, and the spiritual life, as experiences for the development of the entity; for in experience and in application only are truths set forth as respecting law as governs man in and through the material plane. In application of the material laws, let these be for material conditions; for mental law mental conditions; for spiritual law spiritual conditions. While the body materially and sensuously comprises, entails, controls all through the sensuous consciousness; yet to attempt to govern or apply a mental law to a material condition, or a spiritual law to a mental condition, is to make an improper application of truths as are set forth. Spiritual law is the life. Mental law is the ability. In the material is the application; and one is the result of the action of the other. Set these as amulets and let them strengthen thy body, thy mind, thy going in and thy coming out, and thou shalt find in them the truths that indeed make one wise. Ready for dream.
3. (Q) Night of February 3rd or morning of 4th, on train. Mother-in-law [139] told me to look out upon the desert and see in silent reflection how Cayce's power was developed. (A) This as an experience to the mental, the conscious, the spiritual, and in the manner in which reflection may be made upon the experience, self gains a concept that is applicable in mental, and in material, and in spiritual things, of that just given.
4. (Q) While riding one afternoon about February 8th. My hand wandering over side of car as I reflected upon movie actors seemed to write: "John Drew." I wondered how I could meet these actors and the thought came to me: "I will
900-374 Page 2
direct you." Later in the Metro-Goldwyn studio I felt the cosmic presence in my keen appreciation of details of actors' work and its relationship to human nature. I did not see there an opening to any individually as to be able to interest them in our work. How may this be done? [See 5756-5 on 9/26/27 in re John Drew.] (A) Even as was seen (this material now - for a material application of a mental and spiritual truth), as was experienced by the entity in making physical application, there is seen or felt the spiritual presence of a truth to which the mental mind had been directed. In the presence there is felt that in the action of those before the body was that sincere desire in the minds and hearts and beings of many to as vividly portray lessons as the entity itself would give concerning forces, concerning laws, concerning application of life to the various phenomena of life. In that found by entity of the inability to approach an individual or a personality upon the subject, would the entity but consider as to the laws as have been given, that this WOULD be such a circumstance; for first it must come to an individual, and choosing one whom the entity knows is inclined or has the appreciation of one or more of the laws, then physically approach same. THIS manner, this channel, ANYONE that the entity might approach would listen, and little by little there would come that opening wedge through which the seeds of truth may be sown or given. Remembering ever, mental law in mental application; spiritual law in spiritual application; and that MATERIAL conditions are the OUTGROWTH of the application of each; for MIND the builder; the spirit the creator; the material (of which visibility is given) that created. Great truth! Keep it before you.
5. (Q) About February 8th. Gary spoke to me at intervals in my trip, one of which was as follows: "After you finish your present deal with [195], he will later make a good partner in your business. Consider this." (A) This that projection, [900], of that through which thou art passing. Consider this, for well has it been given, in considering the various experiences through life as a whole - and in that of the present, in the various endeavors in the various channels of each - there is that which would BIND the friendship, the business acumen, of each, in that that would be well for each.
6. (Q) Would it be well if [195] put in $200,000 and we when able put in $100,000 to buy another seat on stock exchange which [900] would use, letting [2886] manage inside of business as inside partner? (A) As has come from that seen and that as has happened, is
900-374 Page 3
happening, and will, in material conditions - other arrangements, as might be expressed, have been set forth. This an eventuality - but not in the present.
7. (Q) In what capacity could [195] then serve, or in other words, what could [195] bring aside from money? (A) Prestige, position, money - accounts that would run far above those that are at present on the books.
8. (Q) Would it be best [195] maintain a branch office for us? (A) Better in the same office.
9. (Q) Where? Possibly right in N.Y. or would Dayton be better? (A) New York.
10. (Q) Would [137] and [900], [2886] and [195] make a good four-handed concern? (A) Very good.
11. (Q) Later take in Merryle Rukeyser, making it five-handed? (A) Going too fast! Let's consider that in hand first!
12. (Q) Father Gary, give your advice as to our proper organization or our next best step and those hereafter and when same should be made. (A) These have been set before thee and in a way and manner that are not to be questioned. Proceed.
13. (Q) Night February 11th or morning of 17th. My father spoke to me saying: "[900], I have perfect confidence in you as a business man. I have every confidence in both you and [137] in business, but I certainly am glad you did not invest $140,000 in that shipping venture." (A) This, as seen, rather the projection of conditions that are to arise, and in which there will be offered the possibility and probability of such venture.
14. (Q) What should we NOT invest in and venture upon? (A) It will come as the entity changes in the various conditions as will arise in the regular business. The entity will recognize same when presented. Just don't invest!
15. (Q) Any particular consideration in business we now have that Father likes? (A) The business as the whole. One projection here, [900], as may be seen. All from the full or cosmic or central plane is viewed as a whole. Individual conditions arise by the intent or projection of thought. Thought the builder, or mind the builder. Remember those laws.
16. (Q) What does Father advise on it and when? (A) As given.
17. (Q) My father present. We - some of us, that is - were in a row boat and I was directing same. A storm blew up and I directed that we plough through waves of water front of the boat first. They called to me not to do that but to
900-374 Page 4
take the waves sideways, also not to direct, but to take the rudder and steer the boat sideways against the waves. (A) Rather that same projection in a different angle of that given as regarding the shipping venture, and as reason would give as respecting the body, the venture, and the guiding and directing of same - as the entity or body would be offered that direction - sideways would bring bad results, as direct with same good. Keep clear of same, as given.
18. (Q) Night February 15th or morning 16th. I beheld Louis Schoolhouse. Another, however, did the talking for him to me. The one said: "Louis knows perfectly that Florence is going to Florida only to gamble." I replied: "Yes, some might criticize her doing this so shortly after Louis' death. Yet I don't know about that. I guess it's the principle of gambling he" - "Louis is not concerned with her action in relationship to his death," came the reply. "None with what she does or does not do. It is her attitude of mind he would like to correct." Then Louis Schoolhouse spoke himself, saying: "The trouble with your lecture, [900], is that you start right in the middle. Those who don't look at life your way will not comprehend at all. Those who are intellectually inclined may criticize it saying you assume the existence of a 'Force,' just as any religion assumes God, and thus you have merely changed a name. Begin at the beginning and work them slowly up to the part where you begin in your lecture, by showing them that everything from the lowest forms is constantly in process of disintegration into what must be the essence of the process of disintegration. That therefore this essence of the process must exist even if unknowable." Louis told me to bring them slowly, step by step, up to the point, showing them that the known side of life was but the phenomena of an unknowable essence or Force, and then go on as in the lecture. (A) The whole of this as a correct reasoning from one viewing the proposition as presented in the mental manner toward those forces that have to do both with that that would create and that created in the minds of individuals. First as regarding secular conditions, again as regarding mental attributes of individuals reasoning from the starting point. Hence well to be considered by the entity in the presentation of matter as given for minds that would approach same from this viewpoint, or - as given - begin at the beginning, rather than assuming - or present that assumed, and show how that in disintegration that is going forward to the materialization, as materialization goes forward towards disintegration.

19. (Q) Later on the golf course with Horace Block, I felt Louis Schoolhouse's presence again (How often he played Horace at golf and how he loved this while in flesh). He seemed right with me, and the thought came to me: "If you rush your game I cannot help you." The result was that, although I have not played but six times in two years, I outdid myself, playing better than ever before. (A) This the material manifestation of thought and of spirit, and of that as is given in the lessons from the beginning to the present, see?
20. That is all.
21. We are through for the present.
