Time of Reading 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Now, we find there are changes in the physical functioning of the body at present from that as we have had before. Some conditions are bettered; others show an accentuation of the distress as has been given in the system, also the effect of cold, congestion, and the lack of the proper eliminations throughout the system.

2. In meeting the needs of the physical conditions at the present time, all of those conditions that have been given as weaknesses - or as organs that were weakened, or subject to the distress or stresses of the system - these must be remembered in meeting the needs at the present time.

3. In the eliminations - these may be overtaxed as well as undertaxed; for would the physical body be brought near the normal functioning, care, discretion and consistence must be met with the regular activities and functionings of the system; that is, the body may not overtax self PHYSICALLY and then add that to bring recuperation from the physical condition - then overtax self MENTALLY - and expect normal results from that applied for physical conditions of the body; but using consistency with the whole of that administered for the needs of the conditions in the body. True enough that a body physically is rested by mental application along a different line, but when a body is physically AND mentally tired - then mental application in another direction, with applications for the physical conditions of the body, only brings that of accentuation in other portions of the body. Now here we have these conditions to meet. Those weaknesses as have been indicated in the unbalanced condition in the eliminations between the liver and the kidneys - this is bettered, and there is a near normal activity between the two organs; yet the liver is NOT acting in a normal manner - but the accentuation mentally, also the strain on the upper portion of body, accentuates the congestion - or lack of elimination through

blood supply to the tissue and to the mucus membranes of the upper portion of body. Then don't overtax system until the condition would become so accentuated in head, throat, bronchials or lungs, as to become a chronic, or a destructive force in the system. These are now as warnings - not conditions existent, see?

4. In the needs of conditions at present:

5. Stir the liver in a NOMINAL manner. Not that of too strong a purgative that will produce that, as it were, of overtaxing the liver - but the gradual stimulation of secretions to be thrown off from same through the nominal channels, and the resting of the body - mentally and physically - will bring near normal forces for the body.

6. Taking, then, those properties as will stimulate the excretory system. Milk of Magnesia and Charcoal. Milk of Magnesia - tablespoonful at least twice each day. Charcoal tablet at least ONCE each day.

7. Do not tax the body mentally when physically tired, and do not overtax the body physically when mentally tired.

8. For the condition as exists in the head, throat, nasal cavities, use those properties as have been applied for local conditions - keeping up the inhalant and the ointments that will relieve the condition.

9. Eat that which will be digested properly, and not overtax the kidneys. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) To what extent are sweets damaging? (A) That they cause the glands in and about the kidneys to be excited to that extent where we turn the channels of eliminations through these portions of the system; or excite the excretions through kidneys to the extent that eliminations through this channel are too much for the condition of the body.

11. (Q) Should I continue with the Aspirin? (A) This very good to continue occasionally. Be well were those properties as have been given - for the kidneys and the stomach, with that as has been given - be taken; that is, the clary water - gin -

12. (Q) Where can I get that beet sugar for that prescription that is nearest to my home in New York? (A) Detroit or Chicago - or the quicker way would be through one of the drug companies in St. Louis.

13. (Q) Any other advice regarding nerves? (A) The body controls self very well through the nerve forces of system, when it ALLOWS self to RELAX. Make hast slowly in every activity that pertains to physical and mental activity of the body. DO NOT tax system either mental or physical, to the detriment of the other portions

of the body - see? Hence consistency in the activities. Rest as much as possible, in the open. Well were the body to rest in sun, sand, sea, pines - or in the open. Take walks in the open - resting by the sea, or in the mountain air. Any of these. Just to rest. Get away from things for as much as is possible!

14. (Q) In other words, working all day and then writing on the book - the way I'm working at the present time - is just too much for the physical? (A) Burning the candle at both ends. Best that this be done ONCE a week, and the work will be better and the physical BODY will build faster. More play is needed for the body.

15. (Q) I had that in dream - more recreation? (A) This presented well in dream. While that in dream presented alone so much. Alone is well, but the body needs to meet and play with people. Not go in and sit and smoke! or the like. More on the outside, as in the golf or croquet, or tennis, or walking, or the like. Make more routine to play than to work, and the work will be better that is done!

16. (Q) Deal [Deal, N.J.] this summer, then, should prove beneficial? (A) Should prove very beneficial, will the body stay out in the open when at Deal. Deal a very good place, but GET OUT! Ride horseback, walk - do such things as that! Not sit around too much - unless resting in sand or by the sea.

17. (Q) Is smoking detrimental? (A) In moderation, no. Not too much at present.

18. (Q) Should I stick to vegetables, eliminating meat and sweets? (A) This is very well - for vegetables will build gray matter faster than will meat or sweets!

19. (Q) Would it be well for me to eat vegetables such as corn, tomatoes, and the like? (A) Corn and tomatoes are excellent. More of the vitims [vitamins] are obtained in tomatoes than in any other ONE growing vegetable!

20. (Q) Regarding recent revelations [dreams] that have come to me - while not bearing directly on the physical; yet there was one last night that may, if I judge correctly, regarding my father and his frightened mode of dying. (A) This refers rather to that of the activity as is seen when considered in the light of that as has been given to the body, [900], respecting the effect of fear in all of its phases; whether that of the mental attitude or that of what will be thought of the mental abilities of self and of the physical application of knowledge as obtained - see?

21. (Q) Refers to much as I saw regarding the baby; that is, the baby [142] was not afraid - why should I be afraid? (A) "Except as ye become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter in," fits well in the application of all forces applying to the development of an individual; and as the studies of self and of the various phenomena of life are presented to you - these varied conditions - THESE are then the very ESSENCE, as it were, of life itself in all of its forms and elements. James in that of the Religious Experience [William James' "Varieties of Religious Experience"], in the seeing, experiencing, and understanding - see here the application in self.

22. (Q) James said that in his book? (A) In his book.

23. (Q) Regarding the revelation last night, then, regarding this boy Schwartz and his stealing or robbing us of some stock. (A) This rather that of the intent, than in fact - for, as is understood in the manner that this was seen; that is, the manner in which the individual acted towards that taken - the individual CAPABLE, but misdirected in thought and in the associations. Well that the individual be put - as common parlance would say - "on the carpet" - but, as brother to brother, and there will be a great change in the abilities of the individual. Make KNOWN, in other words, that such things may come in the lives of everyone through constant thought - for "Thoughts are deeds! (again) and may become miracles or crimes," in application.

24. We are through for the present.
