Time of Reading 6:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time.
1. [900]: You will have before you the body of [900], present in this room, and of [137] in Deal, N.J. You will answer the questions I will ask you regarding the interests of these two bodies and their association; turning in the first part of the financial nature, and in the second part to that of other natures that I will suggest at that time.
2. Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900] and [137]. These we have had before. We have also those conditions as surround these bodies as respecting relationships that may be made, and as to conditions surrounding the changes as are being made by the individuals. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) The first question I have written on the paper here. (Present position customer total debit balance one million dollars. Minimum requirement by Stock Exchange fifty thousand dollars. Present cast capital exclusive of Stock Exchange seat five hundred thousand dollars. Therefore, present cash capital ample - but if as at the present time the total value of our own holdings amount to about five hundred thousand dollars, then the cash capital must immediately be reduced to four hundred thousand. If we form the investment trust, another one hundred thousand dollars must be taken off for this, leaving a cast capital balance of three hundred thousand dollars, which is ample at the present time, but does not allow for any great expansion, either for customers' business or for our own trading purposes, nor for large withdrawals for outside expenditures.) (A) Now, while there may be, from the purely material outlook, and with changes as are being brought about by these changes - there has been that given to these bodies, individually and collectively, as to what might be expected as an outcome respecting such changes. First may there be remembered that as given respecting how that together these might accomplish much in the material and financial way and manner. Then there has been given that as to how one would lean upon the other, and of the directions one would make
900-442 Page 2
for the other in these varied relations. Now, as respecting the financial status to carry out or carry forward those undertakings and changes taking place, there needs be little fear of being directed in the correct way and manner to accomplish same, will each but fulfillthat in which is given them from time to time. The changes of which the body and bodies have been warned are being cared for. The connections of which the bodies have been warned, do not overstep these. Rather, then, gather about same those whose influence and affluence will assist in the undertakings, as are in keeping with the tenets of each as respecting business and business relationships. The policies as are set forth in the finance corporation are well in keeping with the tenets of the group. The individual applications TO these needs be only kept in the routine, as it were, of those policies as are being set forth. With these, there needs be little to be feared.
4. (Q) Well, then, that we proceed with ours plans regarding the office and the investment trust? (A) Proceed.
5. (Q) Are we proceeding in proper manner with regard to new office, financially speaking? (A) Proceeding in the proper manner. There needs be no fear but what the bodies would be checked, were there to be oversteppings, with the ideas and IDEALS that are in the active forces of each as respecting these.
6. (Q) [137] asks if there is any relationship to Isaacs or their bank in the warning of the associations? (A) Not in this relationship. Rather in that and those associates of which the bodies have been warned of those whom there are too many question marks concerning activities.
7. (Q) I have two in mind, father and son. Are these the only two? or are there yet others? (A) These are the two at the present, and of whom the body and bodies have been warned.
8. (Q) Now regarding the experience of last night, the outstanding one of many, in which Gary talked to me, or we jointly spoke and said, "That necessary will be provided". (A) That's just as has been given here, and will be provided, keeping in the ways as has been set out for each. Let each, then, so fortify themselves in the ways as has been set forth for each. Each having a DUTY to be performed as respecting associations, associates, undertakings, individuals, individuals' account, customers, customers' relationships to each other and to selves. Let the watchword be, not afraid - but risking nothing, save in that
900-442 Page 3
as we are directed.
9. (Q) Does Gary recall Zwissler? (A) Recalls Zwissler - the associations and the promises. Well for the body here, [900], to prove self and that as may be termed a DIRECT understanding that this body will direct at the Board, in that there were promises made to the body as respecting same, and to THIS body Zwissler and Gary there were those communications before and since as respecting the disposition of certain stocks as relating to the holdings of those occupying the offices that are now to be occupied by them. Think not, then, that it was chance that these offices were chosen.
10. (Q) That is, we are in the steel corporation building through intuitive influence from Gary? (A) Correct.
11. (Q) If developments come - (A) AS developments come -
12. (Q) (Continuing) with the motor [[4655] Motor series of readings], we will need that cast iron pipe office, and then some. (A) Correct.
13. (Q) Zwissler seems to think we might get it. (A) Might get it.
14. (Q) [137] had an experience the other night in which he heard spoken out loud, either "Lift stocks outright", or if the cash surplus is necessary, sell out and be out of stocks. He feels this means within a week or ten days. Is this correct? (A) Correct in two senses. First as relating to conditions that are to come with the first weeks of June. Another, will the body but recall that in this same connection in which this was given, there was being worked out in the mind - mentally - of the body, as respecting policies concerning the administering of the conditions for trading by those of the holdings, or of those holding stock IN the finance corporation, and their trading within the actions of the office itself. See the relation? Now, these then answer from two directions - either in the tradings of an individual, see? so holding - either they, the individual, must (as a policy of the trust) must either sell or liquidate to such an extent to keep that account within the same range of the profits of the individual, on the holdings as relating to their individual trading outside of the holding company.
15. (Q) That is, their margin must be the same? (A) Whether they are stock holders or whether they are individual traders on an open market.
900-442 Page 4
16. (Q) This warning, then, is not immediate - but rather for future weeks? (A) Rather for the future weeks, for there (as respecting these trading conditions) will be, for at least three to four weeks, this continual up and down, up and down, even in the best of securities or holdings, and just as these variations have been presented to the bodies as respecting those of the conditions as have been seen in the emblematical way, in how that the variation of the individual stock may be different, even to that of that being paid in the dividend, though a high priced stock may be the very ones to make the larger gains, on account of the general conditions presented by those individuals operating the company, or their prospective developments. Such as has been given in the expansion as is seen in those of the departments, or department stores, as Roebuck and Macy, see?
17. (A) [137] sees Fleischman at 80. (A) Nearer 77 or 78.
18. (Q) Are [2108], Inc., the right decorators for our new office? and are they proceeding in the manner consistent with that which we are trying to do? for even a business office reflects ideas and ideals. (A) CORRECT! They DO reflect ideas and ideals. IDEALS and ideas are entirely different! As to those operations of the decorators, these are well, and are being well accomplished and well taken care of to well meet the needs of the condition, and will also carry forward the ideas and IDEALS of those that will be surrounded by same; also giving a different conception to the on-looker, as well as he who takes part in the operations through these offices.
19. (Q) Sears-Roebuck, then - and Macy - may yet be expected - (A) To obtain their goal - 180, and the other, as has been given, two, three, four-fold - even with the sliding off of many, and will be a buy for NEARLY two years - Macy's.
20. (Q) That's a good one for the investment trust to hold. (A) Good one for anyone to hold! Now, the speculatives are nearer those of the coppers - though these have remained quiet a NUMBER of years, there are those conditions arising in various quarters that present, and will be found in the days to come to present, more and more an unusual condition for THESE are to be those of the exceeding speculative stock, in the early summer, and summer and early Fall trading; especially Kennecot, Calumet, and such.
21. (Q) Does that mean - (A) Stay out of them!
22. (Q) [137] felt Kennecot a short sale, and sold it - but
900-442 Page 5
covered too soon. (A) Stay OUT of it! They are too speculative for such conditions, unless one chooses - as would be for a flier - and it will be a flier! either up OR down! but would wreck most ANYONE!
23. (Q) Now, regarding the second part of this reading, we turn to the Educational campaign now being conducted by [900] through pamphlets and lectures. First, what is the reaction - and may be the reaction - to both? (A) Dependent upon what would be the idea or ideal of the reaction as is taking place. First, naturally, there comes those of the real seekers - yet fearful in the manner of approach. Then there are those that may be termed hangers-on, or "jiners", or those seeking to know something of the various conditions as are set forth by those conditions that are mysterious in their action. Then there are the scornful, and the unbeliever. All of these are, as would be said, SHOWING-UP, and will - from time to time - present themselves for consideration. The ANSWER ought be, be sure you are right, then go straight ahead, knowing that you are using all of that given in thine keeping for the advancement of the IDEAL; not an idea, but the ideal as is set before self, and as may be given to others for their OWN consideration, and in the considering, in the thought given, will come that personal knowledge of the relationship of self to the whole, and how same may gain for self the knowledge that IS being given out through these channels; for ever will the Spirit of the Creative Energy respond to that created in the created, as to whether they are In the correct channel, or are MAKING for THEMSELVES the selfish ends - that so many turn same into!
24. (Q) The lecture to be delivered tomorrow [at Cayce Hospital], in considering those who are to attend, just how far would it be best for me to go - tomorrow? (A) In thirty to forty minutes give that as has been outlined by self. Then in the remaining period give the opportunity of individuals to express, identify themselves, either for, against, or seekers for that that may be attained or gained through that as has been gained by self; and these conditions as have been presented will present themselves. MEET conditions, then, as they arise, in that as may be transmuted to each one through that position the individual occupies to the question in hand; for the INDIVIDUAL must be taken where the individual STANDS! and not in that UNDERSTANDING of one who has made a study, or THINKS they have studied, along some particular line. The individuals come first, then groups, then classes, then
900-442 Page 6
masses. MAKE the approach through the individual; for better to gain ONE, lost, than to keep the whole ninety and nine that feel they are already safe.
25. (Q) Would it be well to avoid argument and - (A) Do not argue! REASON! and reason by the individual expressing themselves, by characters, through writing, or transmitting same through writing.
26. (Q) That is, have the questions written? (A) Have the questions ONLY written, and will be necessary to leave those that would ask questions - Let them ask Cayce - HE will answer 'em!
27. (Q) Regarding the second edition of the pamphlet now being gotten up - or pamphlet completed, is it in good shape? (A) Its in good shape to be GOTTEN in good shape! to be delivered to those who are seeking - much better, far better understanding will be gained. Gradually work in more now of that of individual experience, also that of SOME elements of the spectacular - but keep the reason! for ever should it EVER be, "Come let us reason together". Never my way, but thine, O lord, be done! for him who would guide, guard and direct the efforts of these bodies [Michael, the archangel?] would approach for just a word. Bow down thine head, my son, and seek the Lord while He may be found. Forsake not the tenets of thy fathers, and forget not the Lord in David gave, "For my servant David's sake will I remember mine people, even though they be scattered far afield", and let us gather unto the gate and behold the glory of the Son, even as He walks in the way - for the Father pitieth His children who love His ways and keeps them, though they wander afield, yet will the hearts be kept singing, in thy house will they be gathered. We are through.
