1. [900]: Now you will have before you the body of [900], in the various associations - first association regarding the Association of National Investigators and the Cayce Hospital of Research and Enlightenment. You will discuss these matters, the first and others that will come, and answer the questions regarding them that I will ask you.
2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [900], and those associations and relations as have to do with the body's endeavors. These, in phases, we have had before.
3. As for the body, there should be the mindfulness as has been given, as respecting conditions that disturb the body. The use of those properties as has been given, for the correction of those conditions and troubles in antrum, should be listened to, adhered to, and we would find these will disappear, and thus enable the body [900], physically and mentally, to better demonstrate, better facilitate the body for the needs of the body, and to administer better to those to whom the body would minister. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) These properties to be used in the nose for antrum, is that the Icthyolate? [Ichthyolate] (A) The Icthyolate. [Ichthyolate]
5. (Q) Is the Icthyolate solution as made up by Craig [Dr. Craig] the correct one to use? (A) Nearer that of Mono-Ichthyolate, or Mono-Hydrate Ichthyolate than this, for this would be rather severe in its normal state. Weakened, would be better.
6. (Q) Adding a little water, then, I could use it as drops? (A) Use it as drops. Rather should be used as spray.
7. (Q) Is there any other advice regarding this antrum trouble and my physical condition? (A) The greater trouble is the antrum trouble. Those of the digestive system, of course, need care and attention - but when the system is rid of conditions that give off poisons to the body, the rest of the conditions would be more easily cared for; for all is a unit, and that which works oftenest certainly suffers most, with the conditions

as are present or may be present in ANY condition where such effects are to a mucus producing, or where the lymphatic circulation is involved.
8. (Q) Would cream of tartar with salt aid the cleansing of this mucus? (A) No. This is of a different condition. Mucus membranes of the head as are from channels through nostrils, or throat, or even Eustachians, are often aided by such - but when soft bone tissue is involved, a different element is necessary.
9. (Q) Now, regarding the hospital, would it not be well if we insisted that patients await their discharge from here before permitting them to depart? (A) This should be one of the rules, that patients would not depart until so ordered or given by one in charge. This MADE when entering. If not subscribed to, don't let them enter! Of course, conditions may arise wherein such may be not adhered to, to the letter - for, as has been given, the letter killeth, but the law maketh alive, or the TRUTH maketh alive. This, then, should be a rule and a regulation.
10. (Q) Where the patients in the midst of treatment picks up and leaves, irrespective, should we not - like all other institutions, and as do with other physicians - wash our hands of the case, accepting no more responsibility? (A) Well not to accept more responsibility, but do not stand in the position of washing hands - even as Pilate.
11. (Q) How may we best enforce this regulation? Dr. [5641]'s case is an example? (A) That, on entering, this be in writing - they must remain until discharge, or allowed to leave - unless circumstances arise that should DEMAND same.
12. (Q) Have we at the present time the proper dietetics, and the proper food to meet the needs of the conditions? (A) This, as has oft been given in individual conditions, is the greater portion of the service to many a patient or individual. Under the present conditions - the body EFFICIENT, but as for practibility, this has not as YET received that as may become NECESSARY. Give them some time - give them some instruction - let them be UNDER the supervision of the physicians in charge OF individual patients, and hold the PHYSICIAN responsible - as well as the dietician [1730]. Make the preparations as are being made - then let it be kept, each and every person fulfilling their individual duties, not usurping authority - but each responsible for that which they are responsible.
13. (Q) Would it be well at this stage to employ an
900-450 Page 3
assistant physician, or a physician, to act as assistant? (A) Would be well.
14. (Q) Any suggestions desired to be given as to where and who to employ, to act consistent to that we are attempting to accomplish? (A) Necessary that such an individual at least first be in sympathy - now let's leave out money for the MOMENT - they must be in SYMPATHY with humanity, as a whole. They must then be in love with that they desire to accomplish for individual cases. They must ALSO be in accord with what is being attempted to be accomplished through these channels. They must ALSO be in accord with those elements that would go to make an individual not to ETHICAL in that they would NOT COOPERATE with ANY means NECESSARY to bring results for individuals. Preferably, then, as WE would give - a WOMAN osteopath - one JUST fully graduated, or READY for real service. TRAIN such an one - for much of the work would depend upon them. Not that the operative end of that condition would not rely upon the one in charge, but one with the ability and with a MIND to serve! [See [900]'s ltr. 9/11/29, Par. R2 under 900-452.]
15. (Q) Is the hospital at the present time functioning as it should, and as is desired by the Forces, under the present regime? (A) As a whole, yes. As individual conditions, no. For, as has been given, the position should be that the institution was in shape WHOLLY to receive those that seek its assistance, and that ALL necessary may be given them. Water conditions are not satisfactory. The rooms for treatment not satisfactory. The abilities to transport one from one place to another not satisfactory; yet these, in their time, may be made to serve. As a whole, yes. Individually, no.
16. (Q) Are there any other suggestions or specific instructions, individually or as a whole, that you would give regarding the carrying out of the functioning of the Association? (A) This rather too general - for Association, in its greater service, is education - and these need much attention. The whole operation, then, must be a constant growth in the minds and hearts of those who would serve through its offices. That's a whole heap now! Remember it, all of you.
17. (Q) Regarding another phase - and this has to do with that that has been given by Elbert H. Gary - last night I was given Bethlehem Steel as a stock to purchase. (A) Here again, [900], we find that [Elbert H. Gary speaking] - as individual conditions arise - you will be
900-450 Page 4
directed in the movements of same. Remember, this is not for so long - but EXCELLENT while it lasts. Then, be guided by that as is given to do. Do not overcome with well doing, but overcome self by doing well.
18. (Q) This is your friend Swab's [Charles M. Schwab's] stock - is that correct? - Bethlehem Steel? (A) That's correct.
19. (Q) Should I buy the stock on Monday? (A) Rather wait until after Tuesday.
20. (Q) Should I buy the stock for a quick turn, rather than to hold? (A) Quick turn, as has been given in that just given you - don't you understand? As has been seen and given, this is not to be for long period - but rather the quick changes as will occur, see?
21. (Q) The stock is selling at 40 - (A) As has been given you, as the conditions arise these will be given to you, whether they are buying or selling - but this has been promised, you may be very sure that this body would be with you, when he has given you that he would be.
22. (Q) Yes, you said you would be right there, even in the chair? (A) Has not the body SHOWN you that there have been periods when his very presence was felt among you? When his very force and power guided you in the things that you did, in the MOVEMENTS as were made, in the very presence even of others this has been made manifest to you?
23. (Q) Was that you in Radio? (A) That was NOT Gary in Radio!
24. (Q) Allis Chal was given to me in connection with - (A) And both are still - and will be for some time yet.
25. (Q) I missed some 38 points on Allis Chal - does that mean I should buy this stock or wait? (A) Wait.
26. (Q) The same with Amer Int and Stone and Webster? (A) WAIT - for, as has been given you, do not be hasty even in well doing, and because there has been warnings to you from time to time, and even points lost - this is not the indication that the individual as would GUIDE you is not as mindful of conditions as are being presented, even as were he guiding and DOING even himself - even as he did, and as has been promised he will be there.
27. (Q) Felix F. [Felix Fuld] spoke to me and gave me Macy. (A) Very good, and this has proven - as has been given you, that this - for year to come yet, will be gradually on the increase.

28. (Q) [257] asks regarding the consummation or successful termination of the Paris Medicine deal. (A) We would say that it would be - yes, should be - shortly - it should be satisfactory - it should be fully satisfactory to all concerned.
29. (Q) Now, to return to that which Gary is interested in - East Coast Investors - if you go over those stocks that we now hold for the East Coast at the present time, what is the outlook for those particular stocks - and should we hold on to same? (A) The better portion of these, as you see, are well and good - and those that are even flighty the bit will be given you as necessary when time for changes. Hold at the present.
30. (Q) Has Tennessee Copper any future, or immediate future? (A) Most coppers have an immediate future. Tennessee - Kennecut - Westcott - ALL have an immediate future.
31. (Q) Should East Coast make any turn in these? (A) Rather too flighty or speculative for this - for this is on a different basis.
32. (Q) American Tel & Tel - (A) Still good, and there will be some changes with these, where that these are to be combined with others - as will be with Westinghouse and with Western Union - as with some of the others - Radio - which will rise to where there will be another condition - by division in conditions. These all present fields for expansion, and are in fields that the minds, the forces as are seen, are being turned. We are through for the present.
