1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [900], this we have had before.

2. Now, we find there are changes in the physical forces of the body since last we had same here. In the general, most of these are for the betterment in the physical forces. There are still those conditions, however, as cause of produce distress throughout the physical.

3. These are the conditions as we find them at this time:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this still shows the lack of sufficient of the red blood to build that vitality necessary to meet the needs of the physical forces at all times. The tendency of the creation of that plasm in the blood to produce the proper coagulation, tends to make for a general anemia in the system. This, however, as we find, is bettered than when we last has same. This is most evidenced through the lungs themselves, and the manner in which drainages are set up in the system. There are still those conditions where there is released pus in the system, through the activities as are seen - especially in the soft tissue of the face, the neck, and in the lungs themselves; yet this in the lungs is segregated, or capsuled, until these are not destructive in their nature, needing only the filling of the blood more with that of the red blood cells; also the stimulating of the excretory system, especially in hepatic circulation, so as to keep the assimilation well balanced with the other portions of the system.

5. THE NERVE SYSTEM shows a great deal of improvement, and the ability of the body consciousness to be raised to that point where those varied conditions to which the body may direct the life forces of the system, THIS is MUCH improved, and - as has been given - as the ability to apply that consciousness, that directing of the energies from within self, the more will the body within itself be enabled to DIRECT same IN a manner as to bring about that desired within the physical forces of same. Well has it been said,

900-468 Page 2

by taking THOUGHT one may not add one cubit to stature nor turn an hair black or gray, yet that very differentiation in being able to raise the CONSCIOUSNESS without THOUGHT - as it were - by the LIVING OF that law as to the DIRECTING of same, THAT builds from within.

6. IN THE PHYSICAL FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in the antrum, in the soft tissue, in the structural portions of the system - these, we find, are bettered physically, when kept in such a manner as to be cleansed and to prevent reinfection, and by keeping up drainage. The drainages in the head and neck and shoulders may be thrown off more by resting mentally, by the proper exercise in the open, and not of too STRENUOUS a nature, with the proper manipulations as to keep the circulation to and FROM the central system operating in their correct or direct manner. This we would apply physically, that the mental AND physical may be co-balanced.

7. Throat and bronchials show an irritation, and rather a thickening of the muco-tissue, or of the lymph circulation. This not an irritant, other than of a NOMINAL reflex from existent conditions.

8. The lungs themselves proper show a bettered condition. While in the upper portion we find some segregated conditions, these are but the nominal reaction from the inactivity of the CARBON or of oxygen in the system, so that the carbon burned up has IRRITATED TISSUE. No tubercle exists there at present, though scar would show from the exhibition of conditions.

9. In the digestive system, this still suffers under the stress of an over ACID condition, and we would find that to keep an equal balance between those forces used as an alkalin production in system, would be well to use those of Milk of Bismuth, Milk of Magnesia, and any SALINE that is an active principle with the gastro-juices of the system. This we may find in phenolphthalein, phenolax, or of such combines - but, when these are taken - either the phenolphthalein or the phenolax - we would take an antiseptic also, such as Glyco-Thymoline; this, the dose would be from five to eight drops. Take these alternately; that is, the Bismuth, the Magnesia, the sodas - ALL of these we would take ALTERNATELY, and we will find the system will respond to most of these. In the digestive system, also we will find that much of those food values - as has been given - will aid in building up the proper resistance in the system. Blood and blood puddings, iron and quinine - iron, wine and quinine - these will all aid, as will all the OILS that WILL ASSIMILATE; not just grease, for these are harmful

- but oils, such as of the codliver oil, or the emulsion of codliver oil, of the sweet oil, or olive oil - of the better grades. This is better taken in very SMALL doses, and oftener. The addition also of a stimuli in Spirits Frumenti will be helpful, if taken properly; HARMFUL if taken as to BURN or destroy tissue in its activity. Best that same be taken in the yolk of egg and milk. This would be better manner to take same. Not too much sugar, EVER - but sufficient to add the proper amount of carbon for the system, keeping the manipulations at least every other day. Keep in the open as much as possible. Let the exercise be only that as is sufficient to keep the ENERGIES properly balanced in the system. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) Now, in taking these medicines - would it be better that I take from a quarter to half a teaspoonful of olive oil every hour during the day? (A) Not over a quarter, for we would find that - with the reactions - at times there is a tendency to belch, or of regurgitation. When such occurs, leave it off until it has assimilated in system. About a quarter teaspoonful every hour, or hour and a half - two hours.

11. (Q) In the codliver oil, how much of that should I take? and should I continue taking before breakfast in the morning? (A) Before breakfast is NOT as GOOD a time as later, though a small quantity may be taken early. Better that this be taken about a dessertspoonful about twice each day. If these are taken at nine and three, these would be the better ASSIMILATING periods for the system - for the cycle of activity in the physical forces of the body are at their changes during these periods, as man has set his daily labors.

12. (Q) In the Milk of Bismuth, Milk of Magnesia - (A) Tablespoonful once each day, preferably in the evening.

13. (Q) The phenolax, or the alophen pill - should that be taken before retiring? (A) The better manner - we take - we BEGIN Friday - we take the Milk of Bismuth. Saturday we take the alophen or phenolax; phenolax better - and AT the same time take five to eight drops of Glyco-Thymoline, as an antiseptic, as it cleans. SUNDAY afternoon we would take the large tablespoonful of the Magnesia. Monday we begin with the Bismuth, see? That's the conditions. The oils are kept continually. Not to STRAIN the system - the alternations - for their activities in the system are as this: The Bismuth furnishes that as a coating for the whole intestinal system, and PREVENTS regurgitation; while that of

900-468 Page 4

the phenolax, with the antiseptic, CLEANSES out that of the drosses of the system; while that of the Magnesia forms the basis of the production of the non-ACID in the system. These work together.

14. (Q) The time of the day of taking these. (A) In the evening, before retiring. The tonics, as is seen, of the iron, quinine - these we would take, continue to take, one as before meals, one after meals. These act with the digestion, and will act WITH those properties taken. Do not take too MUCH quinine, for we would produce irritants in the blood.

15. (Q) About a tablespoonful? (A) Tablespoonful of the Wyeth's beef, iron, wine, or of the iron and quinine. These would be well to alter also.

16. (Q) Would it be an undue strain on the mental and physical at the present time to lecture Sunday afternoon? or had I better not? (A) Better be very short, but it would be well that it would be partly so.

17. (Q) Then, the lung condition - as given - has not reached serious proportions? (A) Has not reached serious proportions.

18. (Q) A certain amount of sun is good here at Virginia Beach? (A) A certain amount of sun is good, but do not let it be in the middle of the day. Before eleven o'clock, and not before [UNTIL AFTER] two-thirty or three in the afternoon.

19. (Q) Returning to business Monday - will that prove detrimental? (A) Not if precaution is taken to not have the HOURS too long.

20. That is all the questions of this reading.

21. If you will keep that as has been given, we will find that the body physical will build, the body mental will direct.
