1. EC: Yes.

2. Now as we find, while conditions are not at all satisfactory - irritation has been produced in the attempts to make the supports for the keeping of the pelvis organs in position.

3. As we find, much better conditions might have been accomplished if there had been followed the OLDER way of using packing. But in the existent conditions now:

4. Where there are those strains, where tissue has become thickened and where there has been the involvement of same owing to the irritation produced by the pelvic bone being unbalanced - the operative forces, as we find, CORRECTLY done, will the sooner relieve the disturbance; provided, to be sure, there is sufficient time given for the conditions to clear without irritating the areas where stitching will be necessary to prevent the irritating of the lower portions in the pelvic position.

5. This will also enable the body to have the position of the uterus and through the womb itself restored, and sufficient time for the condition in the structural portions to be put in position and - if kept in position - kept from giving any further trouble.

6. But it will be necessary for the structural portions to be put in position before the operative measures ARE carried on.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Which of the following doctors would be the most satisfactory to assure complete recovery? Dr. Arthur Langstadt, 1175 Park Ave., Dr. Samuel Geist, 100 East 74th St. (Staff of Woman's Hospital), 141 West 109th St., Dr. Stanley Eiss, 241 Central Park West (Staff of Polyclinic Hospital), 345 West 50th St.? (A) As we find - as general conditions are considered, specific conditions, the knowledge of the body, the knowledge of those things pertaining to the activities which

brought about same - Geist should be the one more advisable. And there should be consideration given by Geist - not only of that as has been indicated as to the abilities, but some neglects that are to be considered, too. Geist, we would give.

9. (Q) What preparation should be made by the body before the operation is undertaken? (A) As just indicated, there must be first the correct position of the structural portions; as related to the balance in the lumbar axis, as to the position of the coccyx structural portion. The purifying of the system would become a natural procedure of the physician's preparation for such an operation. This should not necessarily be a severe operation, unless other conditions arise. But there should and must be precautions especially afterwards by the body for not exercising in such a manner as to cause the structural portions to become unbalanced, or such activity as to irritate those areas through which the activities for such corrections are necessitated.

10. (Q) Does this mean that the body should have some osteopathic adjustments first? (A) However the corrections in position may be made, whether osteopathically, chiropractically or WHATEVER nature - let the STRUCTURAL portions be perfectly balanced!

11. (Q) Is the body's condition satisfactory from the standpoint of blood, strength and her resistance to undertake this operation now? (A) These are very well. Just so there is not too much irritation mentally, or those conditions of a general strain.

12. (Q) Will sewing up this tissue eliminate the dead tissue which has lost its elasticity be the proper thing to do? (A) This is the purpose - where there has been the scar tissue that has allowed the foldments here to become lacking in the flow of circulatory forces, of lymph and blood supply through same.

13. (Q) Why has it been impossible for the body to retain the button which Dr. Langstadt inserted to hold up the organs? (A) As first indicated, while this is a new method it is not as efficacious or as good as if that had been used as indicated.

14. (Q) What day best for the operation to be performed? (A) When it suits the body! and when the preparations are all made!

15. (Q) What hospital best for body? (A) Well, this depends upon which one of the physicians is used.

16. (Q) How long will be required to bring the body to complete equilibrium and eliminate this complete trouble? (A) This depends upon the response and the circumstances and conditions that arise from same. It may be only a few days, it might be several weeks!

17. (Q) Is there anything else that needs correction besides this particular correction of which the doctor speaks? (A) Only the position of the pelvic organs and the tissue in the lower portion where a rent or torn tissue was NOT properly cared for. Do these, then, in that manner.

18. (Q) Are all the other organs of the body sufficiently strong to support the body in an operation at this time? (A) Very well.

19. (Q) Osteopathy has been used with the aid of the Scotch Douche and diathermy plus the button. Notwithstanding this the body still has had this trouble. In view of this is an operation most satisfactory? (A) As has been given.

20. (Q) Will the operation permit the body to indulge in all sports such as golf, swimming and driving, once it is completed? (A) If the conditions are adhered to as indicated, and sufficient time given for healing to be accomplished before these are begun in a strenuous manner. Read what has been given.

21. (Q) Any other warnings to the body? (A) Be sure the pelvic bones, and the whole of the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system, are in balance.
