Time of Reading 11:30 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [920].
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the physical functioning of the body. While these in the present may be said to be merely aggravating at times, if they are allowed to continue they will become very disturbing - either in a pelvis disorder or a digestive disorder, or both.
3. While the disorder has been a gradual growth, it may be corrected in the present so that little or no trouble would arise from same.
4. As we find, in times back there were two incidents or accidents that - combined one with the other - made an unbalancing in the axis of the pelvis; so that the weight has naturally shifted from one limb to the other. Through the sacral and through the ileum, or through the iliac plexus, there has been caused an unbalancing, so that with long standing - or even sitting, in certain positions - there is caused a dull aching through the pelvis, as it were. And at times, when there is the tendency for the greater quantity of overacidity in the system, there is some disturbance with the kidneys. Thus there are produced the achings in the extremities, in the lower limbs and in the arms as well; for these pressures come and go according to the activities in relationships to this unbalancing in the 4th lumbar plexus - and in the sacral and in the coccyx plexus.
5. Corrections for these, as we find, would be through the osteopathic adjustments and manipulations of one such as Dobbins. We would find it would be well to apply HEAT to same, as from the Sun Light, before making the first two or three adjustments.
6. Also we find it would be well to coordinate all the locomotory plexus, or those from the upper portion of the dorsal area, or through the brachial center, through the lumbar center, through the solar plexus, and - of course -
920-2 Page 2
ESPECIALLY through the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus area; making SPECIFIC adjustments where there is the entrance of the vagus nerves to the upper portion of the internal circulation - or in the cervical area.
7. These, as we find, would overcome those tendencies that are indicated in disturbances with the digestive system, the tiredness that occurs at times, the tendencies for the FULLNESS in the portions of the body where there are those reactions from a sympathetic nervous tension through the sympathetic nervous forces of the body. And the ganglia from the lumbar ares are those centers from which these reflexes arise to other portions of the body.
8. If we would do these, as we find, it would require at least sixteen to twenty-six treatments. The first would be taken about twice or three times a week for the first course. Then, after a week or two weeks, there should be a REST period of leaving off the treatments for a week or ten days. Then begin again. And then they may be given less often.
9. Do this for the correction of those conditions with this body, [920].
10. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) What causes the pain in my sacro-iliac joint; also lumbar region and other joints, also swelling in my fingers and ankles? (A) As indicated, the unbalancing in the axis at the sacral plexus, or in the 4th lumbar and the sacral area. The swelling is a reflex, as indicated, from those conditions that arise from overacidity when these pressures or activities of the body have been reactory through the sympathetic forces of the body.
12. (Q) How can one permanently remove superfluous hair? (A) This, as we find, arises from a GENERAL condition that is from the activity of the diet - and from this activity of the glands that MAKES for the GROWTH of same in or upon the body. Then, the proper precautions respecting such may be taken by being mindful that sufficient quantities of iodine are activative with the system as to cleanse or purify the glands of the body, and using the better quality of the depilatories. To use caustics or those things that will remove same in a more normal manner might be preferable, but these make for dangers to the skin itself - and the absorption of properties that become disturbing factors to the body. For this body, then, we find it would be well to use the
920-2 Page 3
Atomic Iodine, or Atomidine; one to two drops in half a glass of water before the morning meals and at night just before retiring, in periods of four to five days - then leave off for a week, then take again. Do this, keeping the normal diets that may be indicated for the GROWTH of hair, the color of hair - as is necessitated in the keeping of the CORRECT manner for the growth of such upon the body. The diets would consist often of the sea foods; once or twice a week, you see. Only the potato peeling, or the very small potato used with the peeling is preferable to the pulp of same. All those vegetables that make for the carrying of iron and silicon; as squash, cucumbers, radishes, the oyster plant, or such natures, should be a portion of the diet quite often - if there would be kept the proper balance as related to those activities of the glands that make for the growth of the hair. For if these are kept with the NORMAL activities, we will find these will not only produce the PROPER growth of the hair but will cause its normal or natural color - rather than allowing it to show gray or discoloration. Naturally, though, this is a long-drawn-out method and must be a persistent and consistent thing upon the part of the users of same.
13. (Q) In applying the local application for hair on head, what brand would be suggested? (A) Rather than a brand, we would use a preparation as is known as Colorbak - which is very good, if combed into the hair at regular intervals. However, as we find, a much preferable compound may be made in this way and manner which, in connection and conjunction with such a diet as indicated, will make for the proper relationships to the scalp: To 1 ounce Essence of Walnut, add: Essence (or reduced properly) of Sage...2 ounces, Coffee, made from coffee grounds........2 ounces. BOIL these together. Then add sufficient alcohol for a preservative. Use this to comb into the hair. Of course, this should be strained and filtered.
14. (Q) Will this bring back the natural color to one's hair? (A) It will bring back the natural color, whether red, dark or light; although it will make the light hair somewhat darker.
15. (Q) In removing superfluous hair, what would be
920-2 Page 4
suggested as a local application? (A) Zip!
16. (Q) How can one renew the body? (A) This depends upon the manner in which there has been the care of the body during those periods of the development. For there must be kept a normal balance in the activity of the glands through the body; through not only the period of DEVELOPMENT but the period of gestation - or of the normal activity, see? This may be done better, as we find, by foods, and activity in the bodily exercises in the open. There is nothing more in order for the RENEWING of the activities of the glands of the body, as we find, than the use in the PROPER manner of the atomic iodine - called Atomidine; especially if there is kept a proper balance in the diet as relating to same.
17. (Q) Does cigarette smoking harm my body? (A) In moderation it does not harm. From five to ten to twenty cigarettes a day is not harmful to a body. It IS a strain, to be sure, upon the nervous systems of the body; but for THIS body ten to twenty would not be harmful in one day - provided they are far enough apart.
18. (Q) My hair has always been naturally straight. Can anything be done to make it naturally curly? (A) There may be, at periods, a combination of elements that will work in direct opposition to what is ordinarily given for the correction of FLAT hair. Remember, the growth of the hair is from the secretions of glands of the system; and the pigment in the skin makes not only for the color but for the type of growth that it will be. Unless there are those elements in the scalp (as hair for the head) that will produce a certain condition or conditions to cause same to curl, then it becomes more of a proposition. We would combine equal portions of the persimmon seed (not the hull but the kernel of same) and the bark upon the root of the persimmon tree; DISTILL together, then add sufficient gin or alcohol as a preservative. Massage this into the scalp when the hair is cleansed, and COMB it into same - that is, into the hair - in a regular way and manner once or twice each day. And the hair will GRADUALLY become curly. This will work on anyone!
19. We are through for the present.
