This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of March, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Dr. [957].

R E A D I N G

Born January 3, 1876, Dudley, England. Time of Reading 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., North Carolina. (Life Reading Suggestion)

1. EC: We have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present entity, [957].

2. In entering, we find the entity astrologically coming under influences that only partially - as they are at present read - influence the activities, mental or physical, in the entity; there being, as seen, a differentiation in the innate mental influence and physical activities from an astrological aspect.

3. In the influences, then, in the present entity - these, we find, are more from those innate expressions in the EXPERIENCES OF the entity, and THESE influence the entity in their VARIED ways or manners.

4. In the first we find, in that of Uranus WITH Jupiter - this bringing those influences in those of the occult student, with those of the broadening - as seen in the Jupiterian influences, making that differentiation as is expressed in the entity from most influences of this nature. Being one, then, of rather the development of the MENTAL body, and the application of mental INFLUENCES in the material or earth's plane, than in that, that makes for eccentricities without a cause or purpose.

5. Those influences also in Venus, with those of the Arcturian influence - bring a power that may be applied in either the mental or the spiritual influence of the activities as may control those of the material natures. These, then, have been and are BUILDED in the entity's present experience, and innately influenced by those experiences of the entity in the various fields of endeavor, as the entity has applied self through the material or earth's plane.

6. In those influences, then, as are seen:

7. Those of the varied religious movements are of particular interest to the entity; not so much as to the teachings or tenets themselves, as to what the application OF the tenet creates or builds in the lives OF those who ACCEPT or PREPARE themselves to be in accord WITH that as is taught AS tenets.

8. In those of the secular things, these become as secondary influences to the entity; while those of numbers, of mystic influence, of the influences of the mental body as applied to the material forces, or the effect of spiritual influence upon mental forces, and these in their application to the material body, build for the entity those that are as rules, regulations, OR tenets to the entity. As some would term, that may be of a more secondary nature, the entity one that would be called radical in views; yet these are ever tempered with reason. A REASONABLE entity - one that reasons through with the various influences, yet ever holding as those of MATERIAL rule as to the influence that causes or PRODUCES conditions in the lives or the activities of individuals; and the study of the MENTAL forces and the effect of same IN individual or group lives becomes the greatest study, then, for the entity, and that upon which the entity may build for the greater purposes in the present experience.

9. In those innate influences as seen - the great outdoors is as the lesson, or the message, for the entity. Things and peoples, but the OPERATION of peoples as RELATED to things being of the greatest interest - rather than peoples themselves or things themselves. Art and art's influence. Song and rhythm also interest the entity, as to the ACTIVITY of individuals. These things become as living OBJECTS to the entity, for indeed - to the entity - thoughts become deeds in the lives of people as apply themselves in the varied directions.

10. In the experiences of the entity and the influences these have upon the present experience, present relationships - for many be the surroundings of the entity that have played, will play, an important part in the activities; these being those of the EXPERIENCES, rather than of that as is called environment in local conditions:

11. In the one, then, before this, we find in that period known as the Trojan. The entity then among those people in the land NOT of the WARRIOR nature, yet ruling many of those that acted in that capacity, and the mediator between those forces as eventually rose IN the rebellion; becoming, then, that one that acted in the capacity of the peacemaker between the forces under Achilles and of Hector. In the innate influences as are seen in the experiences of the entity in the present: Many of those things, lessons, elements, taught - as of the nature that were as mythological, to the entity become as REAL as the histories of the entity's own land, peoples, or present surroundings. In the influences as this brings to the entity: Those of the abilities to judge from the point where others differ, by bringing the CORRELATED influences IN each, as to an active premise FROM which each, or groups, may reason. Then, the entity would have been an excellent politician, or a reasoner, or judge.

12. In the one as before this we find in the land known now as the Persian. The entity then among those peoples that came in from the hill country of India, and brought TO the peoples those which set MANY on the warpath, or being that principle taught by the entity that induced the leaders to become AGGRESSIVE in their subduing of the land lying north of them. The entity then in the name Ujxed. In the experiences of the entity, the entity became in that period the leader in the religious influences in the land, setting up for those peoples much that are still held as the tenets from which those peoples that overrun the land in the present hold, and even THESE may YET be found in that land just beyond the Ur of the Chaldean land, for the city builded there, in the name Urea, the entity ruled as the priest in same; gathering in those that came as students of the mental abilities of the entity, and the entity gained through this experience, giving much as may be found useful, applied in the constructive sense of the present period.

13. In the one before this we find in that land now known as Egypt. The entity during that period when divisions rose in the land, among the conquerors of the land and the natives. Also during the period when there was dissension with the priest that was banished in that period. The entity then among those of the priests of that period, becoming second in order during the banishment of that banished priest [Ra-Ta], and the entity gained in the period by the teachings as were given to the peoples; aiding in the establishment of the school (as may be termed in this present day parlance), for the entity became the LEADER in the SCHOOL movement, and broadening the field of the endeavor THROUGH the application of the religious forces as applied to material life, of the material things as applied to the spiritual life, of the secular things in life as applied to the mental INFLUENCES in peoples of the period. In the name Pseudal. In this experience the entity gained in the greater portion, for the entity served many; serving

in the way of giving an INFLUENCE in the lives and the activities of those as remained as ONE, even though rebellions in high places. The entity held to one purpose, and was of the NATIVES of the land - being the only NATIVE priest during that PARTICULAR period. In the influences in the present: All things pertaining to those that become as tenets are of especial interest to the entity, and ESPECIALLY so in the LEGENDARY influences, that brought about the writing of the Book of the Dead, as called in the present.

14. In the one before this we find in that land known as India, in the land that is now taboo by many; in the hill country, and among the peoples that gave their whole experience to the study of the influences in the sun, moon, stars, and such. The entity wielded an influence that brought for the peoples in the second, and third, and fourth generation. Hence that of the HIGHER civilization of the period, that gave much that is taught in the Chaldean HISTORIES in the latter periods. In the name Mamahoa. In the influences, as is held in the present: The entity finds many places, many climes, to which the entity feels that influence of having passed that way before. These are brought not only by the experience, but the intimate studies of the NEEDS of the peoples of the nations and the WORLDS during that period. Gaining through the period. In the present we find these have their influences MENTALLY in the experience of the entity. [See Par. 19-A below indicating Tibet.]

15. In the abilities of the entity and that to which it may attain in the present:

As is seen from that as is given, that innately there is felt much that the entity feels loath to express before others, through the influence of the surroundings and the experiences of the entity. These taught, these brought to the understanding, will bring the greater blessings, the greater influences, in the entity's own development; wherein that these keep accord with him as gave, that "In the possession of understanding may one attain to power, might, and influence in the material plane" - In that as was taught later by him that gave, "Those that would seek HIS face must believe that He IS" - and that as taught by Him that came as the ransom for many, that "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them". In this the entity may excel; for the basic forces, as was given in the first experience, were those of the influences as are felt innate in a material plane; in the second, those from which the Prince of Peace gained in that study wherein the EXPRESSIONS came

of the one Father, the Son, and that SPIRIT that is abroad in the UNIVERSAL forces, or in the earth. In the second came those influences that will wield much during the present experience, will those associations about the entity - that wielded the influence - be combined in the undertaking in the present.

17. Keep, then, that as is committed unto thee against that day when the UNIVERSAL forces, or in the Creative Energies there is, "What USE has there been made to the talents given thee?"

19. (Q) Was the entity incarnated in Atlantis? (A) In Atlantis the entity visited. Incarnated in what is now Tibet, but a visitor to that land during that period when there was the spreading of the teachings from that NOW known as the Mohamets [Mohammeds or Muhammads?]. [GD's note: He later wrote a book on Atlantis, which was never published.]

20. (Q) Should the balance of my life in this incarnation be devoted to business; or primarily to the attainment of spiritual light? (A) To spiritual light and teaching.

21. (Q) What is my Cosmic and Mystic work yet to be done in this incarnation? (A) That as has been indicated, in that as has been given in the experiences of the entity in the first two appearances, wherein the great influence that the entity had upon the THINKING world. In those experiences, and in those tenets, may the entity excel and develop most. These coming from the cosmic or universal influences INNATELY felt, and may be MATERIALLY expressed.

22. (Q) What organizations, or what channels should I use to do my cosmic work; and to give out the Spiritual light that can be reflected through me? (A) Through that of the [White?] brotherhood as is established in the mount (for the entity has approach to the Holy Mount); also among those associated in the school [Atlantic University?], wherein the expressions were given, "That Man May Make Manifest HIS Love For God And Man."

23. (Q) Should I begin now systematically the Mystic Meditations and Exercises for the raising of the spiritual currents to the Pineal Gland? (A) These have already begun. Keep thine self in well BALANCE, but continue in the studies that BRING to the self that REJUVENATION as is necessary for one to manifest and FULFILL within one given period that to which it may wholly accomplish.

24. (Q) What is my past Karma that I have to overcome? (A) Study that as has been given. There will be seen there were tenets that brought discord; there were also TRUTHS that brought dissensions. Dependent upon the application that those that USE same made of same. Then, in the present, teach, preach, understand, LIVE, the ONENESS of all, and the personal application OF that, that builds ever UPWARD TO the understanding of the proper use of UNIVERSAL forces, as WERE applied, MAY BE applied, BY the entity, in the present experience. 25. (Q) What unfinished work have I to do that has reference to a former incarnation in India? (A) That's been begun, in that in the school, in now Egypt [EC work, Atlantic University, etc.?].
