1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [958]. Now, we find, while the body in physical respects is very good in many ways; yet there are those disturbances in the physical functioning that cause distress to the body, and disease at times. These conditions are produced by two different conditions existent in the physical functioning of the body. While one is in many respects the cause or the production of the other, the condition may be considered from a different source, for one condition might be corrected without much assistance to the other; and EITHER of these causing distresses that would, with the natural changes as will come to the body, still remain a disturbing factor as to perfect or normal health.

2. These conditions, as we find, have to do, one with the assimilating and eliminating system, the other with the blood supply as affected by the disturbance in the system, and also affected by specific conditions existent in the cerebrospinal system. In the disturbance that we have with the eliminations, these affect more the vegetative nerve system - which, as we see, is the connection between the internal and the external, and these - added to the disturbance in the lower dorsal region - finds more activity through the blood supply, as it furnishes to the system the manner or means of elimination in portions of the system. The eliminations, as we see, coming from more than one source, may be thus affected in the way as is seen here. Hence the continuation of headaches, of disturbances in the stomach, the tendency for the skin to become over moist, cold spots showing in portions of system, and again tendency for a rash, or the exterior or the epidermis to show irritation by spots occurring in patches or places over the system. This, then, is an affectation of the nerve system direct, radiating from the 11th, 12th dorsal plexus, as it affects the dorsal plexus branches, and the digestive system, as related to assimilation in the body.

3. To meet the needs, then, of these conditions, we would first prepare as this: Take the normal preparation known as Vinol, see? To this we would add other properties - not in the solution, but to be taken at the same time - but be careful of the amount as is taken. Take the regular dose of Vinol three times each day, before meals; that is, a teaspoonful before each meal is eaten. The preparation as to be taken with same, would be as this:

Lactated Pepsin.....................1 ounce, Tincture of Stillingia.............40 minims, Oil of Sassafras...................10 minims.

This is shaken together before the dose of this is taken. Take only half a teaspoonful in water just before retiring. That it, with the Vinol, produces some over-activity with the kidneys should NOT be alarming to the body, for the drosses through these channels must be eliminated.

4. After these properties have been taken for three to five days, begin with the osteopathic manipulations as will correct those subluxations or impingements as are evidenced in the condition existent in the lumbar and lower dorsal region. Also there should be the general massage over the whole of the system, especially the cerebrospinal and in the region of the cervicals where the plexus from the hypogastric and pneumogastric have their relations to the central nerve system as enters the brain forces through that of the upper cervicals, and the 3rd and 4th ganglion to the face and head.

5. As to the diet, this should be preferably those of more proteins, less of the starches - until at least the system reacts more properly to the activity of the medicinal properties, as well as those of the manipulations to cause the general distribution of the eliminations and assimilations. Ready for questions.

6. Do that, and we will bring the near normal forces for this body. The manipulations should be given at least every other day. The ADJUSTMENTS should not be made EVERY time the treatments are given, but let these be after the conditions are beginning to show response to the treatments as are being administered. We are through for the present.
