Time of Reading 3:35 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [975].
2. As we find, there are disturbances in the better physical forces of the body. These are rather of a complex nature. But if there will be applied those things which we will suggest to assist in purifying the blood flow and to build up the body, we may gradually meet other conditions that are apparently much more serious.
3. The disturbances are, as we find, those that arise from segregations in the system, as it were; or from those forces or influences that have arisen making for the accumulations that produce in certain centers or portions an influence which, segregating itself, sets up as an organism in itself [See 975-1, Par. R2]. Yet the effects of these produce other disturbances to the nervous forces that first WERE the disturbing activity, and have gradually become distended in their activity in the system.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [975] we are speaking of:
5. The BLOOD SUPPLY indicates there are disturbances in the assimilating system where replenishing and rebuilding is produced. In times back there was a lack of coagulation. This coming out of bonds, as it were, allowed those forces to escape into the system that should be eliminated. Hence those distortions have been set in portions of the body that make for the hindrance in the activities, in the locomotions, in the actions of the sensory forces. These, as we find then, arise in specific portions of the body; as through the intestinal tract, where there has been a seepage in the system. So that these not being eliminated properly are carried by the lymph and portions of the system in the system's circulation.
6. As to the NERVOUS FORCES OF THE BODY, these at times - and under conditions that exist - are very good; yet tendencies arise from these, as indicated by the activity in
975-1 Page 2
portions of the body.
7. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, these continue in a manner to make for an expression of activity in many ways. But in the heart's activity we find a disorder owing to the disturbances in the circulation; not so much an organic disturbance as a SYMPATHETIC disturbance with other forces in the body.
8. In the digestive areas, as we have indicated, do we find the seat or the causes. Hence all of these continue to make for a portion or a contributory measure to disturbing factors.
9. Hence we find that in making the application of those things that might be of a helpful nature to the body, we would necessarily - as indicated - begin first with the system's ability to assimilate in such manners and measures as to reproduce constructive influences in the system, and build resistances for those conditions that have separated. Thus we may produce an activity that these may either be thrown off or separated in such a manner that their removal would be easier without drawing on the whole system. This will depend upon the manner in which the body responds to the applications that we will indicate.
10. So, in the first portion we would take internally a compound which would be activative upon portions of the system and the organism of the body in such a manner as to prepare the body for other conditions that will become necessary as helpfulness progresses in the body. Prepare same in this manner:
11. To 2 ounces of Strained Honey add 4 ounces of Distilled Water. Let this come to a boil. Then before it has cooled entirely, but after it has stopped steaming, add - in the order named: Essence from Wild Ginseng..............1/2 dram, Tincture of Stillingia.................1/4 dram, Essence of Wild Turnip..................10 minims, Essence of Wild Ginger (this should be made from the raw Ginger; not using an emanation of it or synthetic preparation, but that made from the herb itself)................40 minims, Essence of Cinchona Bark...............1/4 ounce, which will act as the carrier for adding the eliminations in the system.
12. But this would be the ESSENCE from the quinine bark itself; not that which has been purified, but use the bark itself and make an essence. To 2 drams add 4 ounces of water and reduce to a quantity sufficient to use with the
975-1 Page 3
above as indicated.
13. Shake the solution before the dose is taken, which would be half a teaspoonful twice each day; preferably before the morning meal and before the time for retiring in the evening.
14. Take the whole quantity.
15. During the same time the compound is being taken, we would use the violet ray as a stimulator for the activative forces from the solar plexus to the brachial plexus specifically. This is to stimulate these centers that supply from the nervous system to the organs of assimilation, that will be activated upon by the properties as indicated to overcome this tendency for separations in the digestive area and these conditions that make for disturbance in the body.
16. And then we may build upon these; after these are taken we would then give further instructions, making for those that may be added to same. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) How long a period should the violet ray be given at a time, and how often? (A) From three to five minutes in the beginning, about three times each week.
18. (Q) That's the violet ray, not the ultra violet? (A) The violet ray; NOT ultra violet ray.
19. (Q) What diet should be followed, with specific recommendations for breakfast, dinner and supper? (A) Those foods, as we find, that are body-building, but that carry very little of the tuberous growths; that is, no DRIED beans at any time. No Irish potatoes. None of those things that make for the bulbulous nature in the system; for each of these carries a chemical reaction that does not make for activity with the system. Hence we would give THIS as an outline, though - to be sure - there may be changes at times; for these things would naturally become of such a rote as to be offensive to the body if they were continued in this manner alone: Mornings - citrus fruit juices, with thin cakes or toast (whole wheat); or cereals that are used with milk, or the dry cereals. But do not have the citrus fruit AND cereals at the same meal; they may be taken the same day, but NOT the same meal. Or there may be at other times stewed fruits, which may be taken with preferably dry milk; that is, prepared, of course, and not just sprinkled upon same. Noons - preferably only the juices of, or very finely grated raw vegetables; such as lettuce, celery, carrots, onions, radish, cabbage, spinach, mustard or the like. These may be
975-1 Page 4
taken with or without the salad dressing. Or this may be altered at times to the juices only of the COOKED vegetables; or there may be had two or more vegetables combined to make for balancing of the elements in the body that are necessary, carrying silicon and iron that are as resistive forces and aids in the blood supply to eradicate these disturbing forces in the system. Evenings - when meats are taken let them be preferably either small quantities of fish or fowl or mutton or the like. These should NEVER be fried. These would only be those that were prepared very thoroughly, and in most instances after preparation be CHILLED almost, as it were, that they may be the easier assimilated by the gastric forces that have had so much disturbance; but these will be aided by the properties we have indicated in the compound for the body. These we would follow. As to the drinks; drink plenty of water - six to ten glasses full each day. Do not take quantities of tea, but a very small quantity once a day may be taken. Coffee may be taken in moderation provided milk or cream is NOT used in same. Without the cream coffee is a food; WITH milk or cream it is very hard on the system. When all of these properties have been taken, the whole quantity, with the applying of the violet ray and the following of the diet, we would then give further instructions; for changes will be brought about and other conditions that appear in the present even as more prominent will be met; but we must, as it were, lay the groundwork that there may not be help for a little while and then a reverting to old disturbances.
20. (Q) The body at times has bad dizzy spells. What will relieve condition when it occurs, and can they be eliminated? (A) This arises from that flow to the heart's activity, as we have indicated. For there is a heaviness that occurs with the dizziness rather in the pit or just below the breastbone or over the sternum. It is as the flow between the liver and the lungs and the flow from same to the heart's activity. And this produces a pressure on the nerve forces to cause the dizziness. When these properties are taken, so that this pressure is removed from those areas in the jejunum and the portion of
975-1 Page 5
the lower part of the stomach itself, these conditions should not occur. When these occur, or should they occur, press on the 1st and 2nd cervical and hold for a moment; this will allow the equilibrium to be re-established.
21. (Q) What foods should be avoided? (A) As indicated, those of the tuberous nature - or beans and potatoes and the like.
22. (Q) What beverages should be taken both at meals and between meals? (A) As indicated. Any of those taken should be as indicated. However, once each day between meals there may be taken a small wine glass of RED wine, if this is taken with black or brown bread - very dry bread. Take it as a food, not merely as a drink; for this will be strengthening and helpful to the body. Port.
23. (Q) What time of day would be best for this to be taken? (A) In the middle of the afternoon would be the preferable time.
24. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Do these, as we find; and when these properties have been taken we would give further instructions. Of course, the compound will be sort of bitter; but a salty cracker or Pretzel eaten just after the dosage will take away the taste easily. Do these, and then we would give further instructions.
