Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [976].

2. Now, as we find, the conditions that produce disturbance in the physical functionings of the body are of long-standing. These are rather hidden, and the more often the applications have been made for the effects of the conditions without the real cause being corrected.

3. Hence there have been periods when the conditions have become accentuated or acute in certain directions; thus causing specific conditions in those portions of the system that are AFFECTED by the disturbance at the time.

4. These, as we find, have to do with the organs of the hepatic circulation, AND the general digestive system; with the effects of these disturbances upon other portions of the system.

5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [976], we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. In the BLOOD SUPPLY we find those indications of the disturbances that have existed and do exist, in a somewhat lesser degree in the present than in the past, with the eliminations as related to the kidneys.

7. We also find those organic reactions that are indicated from an intestinal disturbance which is the CAUSE or the SEAT of the trouble, as we find, with the body. However, as we find, other organs of the hepatic circulation have been and are at times involved.

8. In the bloodstream we find there are less numbers of the red blood cells than there should be; and there have been periods (though little is shown in the present) when pus has been carried in the bloodstream. Hence making for conditions in other portions of the system that arise sympathetically. Not as strep, yet it is a FORM of strep; as indicated by the conditions in the right portion of the body - or in the caecum and the ascending colon area.

976-1 Page 2

9. We find in the NERVE FORCES rather conditions that are PRODUCED by the nerve tensions on the system; yet other conditions cause a nerve tension. Hence we have those periods when the body is lacking in vitality or in pep; tired, exhaustion through out the system; the feet and limbs and arms are as leaden, or heavy when the body would move at times; yet at other times we find the conditions of the nervous forces are at variance one with another (that is, the cerebrospinal and the vegetative or sympathetic systems). Hence the body does not rest well, making for periods of exhaustion from THESE angles; yet at other times the body has a hard time staying awake when it wants to!

10. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, we find:

11. The conditions producing these disturbances, as we find, arise from what may be termed the after effects of a congestion produced by "flu," or a congestion of such a nature, that settled in the caecum and the colon area. First there was brought about then an upsetting of the stomach; headaches, and the inflammation about those activities of the kidneys; producing at times too great an activity of the bladder, at others making for irritations so that there was considerable amount of acidity shown in the urine, and some inflammation ABOUT the capsules of the kidneys themselves.

12. These conditions are now somewhat bettered. Again we had those effects of a tickling or pulling in the right side. Not as an activity in the appendicial area or the portion of the caecum, but rather between that and the liver area, or the lower edge of the lacteal duct and a portion of the gall duct area itself. This, as it is exhibited or seen from here, was produced by the central cords along which the nerve forces of the lymph and the sympathetics flow for the activity of the peristaltic movement of the intestinal tract itself. THIS became engorged, or enlarged, and made for greater disturbances.

13. With the taking of those properties that have been indicated for the RELAXING of these conditions, these EFFECTS upon the kidney, upon the liver, upon the activity of the intestinal system itself, HAVE been changed and altered. Yet the real cause, as we find, has only PARTIALLY been relieved or the body builded so as to produce the resuscitating forces necessary for creating a normal balance through the system. For the symptoms rather than the causes have been administered to.

14. In the general functioning of organs then, as indicated, most of the organs suffer AT TIMES from a poor circulation, and those effects from INFLAMMATION carried in the circulation. So there may be, with a cold or congestion, a

976-1 Page 3

very bad condition in the throat and head or in the nasal passages. At another time there may be a great deal of congestion, with hoarseness and fullness in the pit of stomach and an upset digestion. All of these conditions have occurred at one time or another since the infectious forces in the colon area.

15. At other times we find that apparently what has agreed with the body produces indigestion, and we have the lack of the proper gastric flow or balance between the lacteals and the hydrochlorics in the system. This is because the system in attempting to adjust itself has failed through the indolent activity of the secretive functionings to provide sufficient of those gastric flows to keep a normal balance in the system. And at other times we have had a very PAINFUL condition across the upper portion of the kidneys or the small of the back, with swellings in the lower limbs, with a feeling of a twitching in the face and a puffing under the eyes, and a dimness even to the vision.

16. These are the results or the effects of disturbances, which with the removal of the causes should be relieved to the greater extent; provided the blood supply through the diet and through the activities of the system continues to create or build resuscitating forces for the body.

17. In the liver, the kidneys, the disturbances are the greater; because those activities from the inflammation and the congestion arise which might be said to be from those forces that supply both activity and INCENTIVE for activity to these organs in THEIR coordinating functioning. Yet the pancreas, the spleen, the bile ducts, the lacteal ducts become involved; as naturally the inflammation through the pelvic areas tends to make the organs of the pelvis become SYMPATHETICALLY involved. Thus we have (as natural from an upset stomach) headaches, from those conditions existent in the stomach. Hence the organs of the pelvis ache, or there is a feeling of fullness; yet the CONDITIONS are arising from other portions of the body.

18. While we would not discontinue as a whole those properties taken for keeping an equilibrium in the hepatic circulation (the drops), we would reduce the quantity. For WE WOULD add to the system the properties in part that are combined in these, yet in a state in which they may be assimilated more for the system, especially with the other applications that we would make.

19. First, then, we would prepare a compound to be taken internally, in this manner:

20. To 4 ounces of distilled water, add 2 ounces of Strained Honey. Let come to a boil. When it is cooled, add in the

976-1 Page 4

order named: Essence of Wild Ginseng.....................1 dram, Essence of Wild Ginger....................1/4 dram, Tincture of Stillingia....................1/2 ounce, Essence of Indian Turnip...................20 minims, Tincture or Essence of Buchu Leaves........10 minims, Elixir of Calisaya........................1/4 ounce. Shake well together before the dose is taken, which would be 1/2 teaspoonful before the meals, but EAT the meals!

21. These properties as combined here will aid the assimilations, and perform with the glands AND the organs in their secretion and their activity as to be the more beneficial.

22. Also we would prepare a Watermelon Seed Tea to be taken, in this manner:

23. To 6 ounces of water add 2 tablespoonsful of crushed watermelon seed (not ground, but crushed). Do not allow to boil, but let it come to ALMOST a boil, you see. Strain. Keep in a cool place. Drink about two tablespoonsful a day, which may be taken as two or three doses at different periods during the day; that is, a tablespoonful at a dose, or less. This will carry a portion of those very properties contained in the elixir or the drops already being used; but gradually reduce the quantity of drops - about nine to ten the first two to three days, and then again to about five or six.

24. We would also prepare a compound for massaging the body. Add equal parts of Mutton Tallow, Spirits of Camphor, Spirits of Turpentine and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Heat these; not so that they boil, but so that the Mutton Tallow dissolves and the others will then mix together. These properties will tend to separate somewhat when cool. Stir together. Massage just what the body will absorb, about twice or three times a week, especially across the liver area, across the kidneys, over the caecum and over the right side.

25. Then IMMEDIATELY following such a massage with the compound, apply hot salt Packs over the same areas; that the reaction may be to produce a counter-irritation somewhat, and that the body may ABSORB the properties to reduce those tendencies for the inflammation that is indicated which becomes distributed somewhat through the bloodstream from these areas.

26. In the matter of the diet, do not partake of too much sweets. Do not partake of too much starches, yet sufficient

976-1 Page 5

quantity of the carbohydrates and starches to keep a balance - but let these come rather from vegetables than from breads, let these come rather from fruits than from cane or from sugar. However, honey may be taken in moderation.

27. Adhere to these conditions and we will find that the body will not only feel better, but the causes of these conditions that are disturbed will be gradually removed.

28. These have been long-standing. Do not take the treatments just a few days, or even a few weeks, and expect to be well - and then revert to old conditions. But be consistent and persistent! Have periods when these will be taken (that is, ALL of those things indicated) for two, three to four weeks. Then rest by leaving them off a week. And then be just as patient and just as persistent as though you were beginning all over again. And you will find, by keeping these in this manner, great improvement will come to the health, to the general status of the conditions throughout the body.

29. Ready for questions.

30. (Q) Will it be necessary to continue the medicines for the bowel eliminations? (A) These in part will be necessary, but as indicated gradually reduce as there are the relaxations to the system and as the CAUSES are removed - by the applications and by the diet and by the medicinal properties in the compound indicated.

31. (Q) Is the heart reaction serious, or just a result of the general condition? (A) It is a reflex action; NOT an organic condition.

32. (Q) Should the Digitalis be continued? (A) Only in part, and only when necessary. It won't be necessary so much if the eliminations are kept up, by those conditions as indicated, and by the use of high colonics at times to cleanse the system. But do not use colonics or even an irrigation WITHOUT antiseptics. And use the alkaline and not acid antiseptics. The better alkaline antiseptic to be used in the water would be Glyco-Thymoline, when the colonics are taken.

33. (Q) Is the kidney condition as bad as it was three years ago, or is it improving? (A) As indicated, it is improving.

34. (Q) Is there a condition of high blood pressure? (A) There is a condition of a great deal of unbalance, as we have indicated, in the hepatic circulation; which makes for an alteration in the pressures of the blood supply. [fluctuation between high and low pressure?] These come and go. This will be materially reduced with these packs and

976-1 Page 6

these properties given.

35. (Q) Is there any indication of a cancerous condition being present? (A) No indication. However, as indicated, there IS in the blood stream PUS; which is congestion and inflammation. But it arises from the intestinal system, from a congested area - as we have indicated. Follow these suggestions; be patient, be CONSISTENT - and be VERY, very persistent. And you'll break up this condition, and remove the causes; also remove the chances of the irritation finding lodgment and thus through injury or through localization causing greater disturbance.

36. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's note: See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to DRUGGIST for preparing compound.)
