Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [978], present in this room.

2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body. These, as we find, are of a specific reaction, yet the disturbances are rather of the complex nature. These have to do with the circulation, with the disturbing of the functionings of the organs; as deal with the respiratory system, with the activities of the organs in the sensory system, and the general disturbance of the lack of sufficient red blood cells.

3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [978], we are speaking of, present in this room:

4. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY we find the numbers of the red blood being somewhat deficient, and in that state wherein the coagulations are not effected properly. Hence there is a lack of the hormones in the blood supply as deflected by specific disturbances in portions of the body, as we shall see.

5. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM do we find a great deal of disturbance of a reflex nature. When there are those reactions to the sympathetic or vegetative nerve force, as through pressure in the activity of the atmospheric conditions, the EFFECT is upon the metabolism of the system.

6. Hence there come those conditions that prevent the normal activity of the oxidization, or the clarifying of the blood through the lung area. Thus the oxygen being cut off it makes for the disturbing factors in the system. Although these arise from other conditions, as we see, they AFFECT the nervous forces throughout; disturbing the digestive forces, making for the shortness of breath and the activities that accompany same.

7. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, we find there has been the slowed circulation through the nasal

978-1 Page 2

passages and to the frontal portion of the face itself, through pressures that have been indicated for sometime back in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area. This slowed circulation has produced the effect of a catarrhal condition in the antrum, in the nasal passages, in the soft tissue. Thus, with the reactions of the atmospheric pressures - or from cold or congestion, there is produced the swelling that causes the lack of the bronchi and larynx to ALLOW the circulation to pass through in a normal way and manner. Thus there is caused a disturbance in the bronchi and lung area. For without the flow of the air through the passages, the slowing of the circulation in the upper portion of the lung and in the left trachea especially, there is produced a congested area. And until there is a relaxation, spasmodic reactions are produced in the breathing.

8. These, as we find, are conditions that are SYMPATHETIC; or, as may be termed, are BECOMING constitutional by the constant lack of the proper AMOUNT of elements IN the system; through the pressures in the areas indicated.

9. In the lungs themselves there is no organic nature of disturbance, but rather sympathetic.

10. Also it is a sympathetic reaction in the heart area. However, if continually an activity is used to INCREASE the heart supply by RELAXING the system, this must GRADUALLY - through the years - create a valvular disturbance in the heart's activity. But none exists of that nature in the present.

11. In the digestive system we find sympathetic reactions and the lack of the proper balance in the gastric flow to produce the proper activity in the glands as related to the thyroids and the mucous membranes. For with the increase, or the attempt of the flow of supply to the disturbed forces, there has been produced a drain upon the lymph circulation. Hence from coughing, the reactions from the spasmodic conditions, phlegm rises from the throat, from the trachea, even from the lung itself at times. This is an overflow of the LYMPH that is lacking in those elements in the digestive forces of the body.

12. As to the liver and the spleen, the pancreas, we find: The liver and spleen naturally become disturbed through the quantity of circulatory forces necessary to create balance. Hence we have those tendencies towards a constipation, or the lack of the peristaltic movement through the jejunum, owing to the quantities of blood flow going towards the lymph in the upper portion of the body itself.

13. This makes for weakness in the body, and those periods

978-1 Page 3

when there are toxic forces that disturb the whole equilibrium of the body.

14. Then, in meeting the needs of these conditions, we find that with patience and persistence these CAN be alleviated and the body built up so that very RARE may be the reverting to the spasmodic reaction in the trachea, the bronchi and the soft tissue of the nose and face.

15. First we would begin by having prepared an inhalant, in this manner:

16. To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, in a 6 to 8 ounce container with glass stopper (or the screw cap, provided it is not metal but rather of the bakerite, or a cap of such nature), add - in the order named: Oil of Eucalyptol....................20 minims, Rectified Creosote....................5 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.........15 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp................10 minims, Tolu in solution.....................40 minims.

17. Shake together, then remove the cap, and inhale the fumes (not taking the properties, but inhale the FUMES); first through one side of the nostril, then the other. Then shake again, and inhale the fumes DEEP into the lungs through the mouth; just the fumes that arise from shaking the solution, you see, for these gradually disintegrate. Inhale these early of morning or late in the evening, or WHENEVER there is the tendency for the spasmodic conditions; for these are the times when more reactions occur.

18. The reaction is antiseptic, and is to ALLAY irritation, to prevent the swellings that occur by the inflammation being disturbed in the body. Also it is to allay those tendencies for the catarrhal reaction and this drying that occurs at times, while at others it becomes - as it were - very wet; asthmatic reaction.

19. Also for the spasmodic conditions that arise in the system, we would take - especially - those properties found in Calcidin. Take internally a one grain tablet once or twice a day. Have these on hand and take regularly at such periods.

20. And we would prepare a solution to be taken internally, prepared with Calcidin. Dissolve five grains of Calcidin in an ounce of distilled water. Keep it warm; shake the solution together and sip it occasionally; a quarter to half a teaspoonful every two, three to four hours. This will overcome these spasmodic conditions when they arise, from cold or congestion or from excitement.

21. We would also prepare a solution to be used in a spray.

978-1 Page 4

To be sure, the inhalant as given is an antiseptic but it is only a ALLAY; while the solution to be used in the spray is to CORRECT the tendency of the nasal passages and throat to produce irritation. So we would prepare such a solution to be kept on hand and used in the spray, in this manner:

22. Put 20 drops of Icthyol in 1 ounce of grain alcohol (for this is soluble in alcohol, you see). Keep this on hand, so that the drops of the solution may be used in spray as indicated.

23. Fill an atomizer (such as the Devilbis or an atomizer of such nature) HALF full of water, tepid. Then add to same 20 drops from the above solution made with the Icthyol and alcohol, see? Shake well, and use as a spray upon arising and when ready to retire.

24. The spray solution has nothing to do with the inhalant. The inhalant may be used oftener, but the spray should only be used as indicated.

25. We would also begin with some corrections osteopathically, or chiropractically; making for perfect alignment in the upper dorsal and cervical area.

26. Take these adjustments about two weeks. Then rest by leaving them off a week. Then take them two weeks again. Then rest three weeks. Then take two weeks again. Then rest a MONTH. Then take for two weeks again, see? This is so the body may make for the corrections in the normal way and manner.

27. Be very mindful of the diet. Eat those foods that are alkalin in their reaction. Let the body have at least two or three times each week the broiled liver, tripe, or things of such natures. No RED meat; no fried meat nor fried food of any kind; not even BOILED fat meat. But fish, fowl, lamb or the like may be taken. However, DO NOT partake of the heavier meats. Beef JUICE (not beef extract, but beef juice) may be taken; this made fresh once or twice a week, and a teaspoonful of this two or three times a day will be very STRENGTHENING to the body. Not too much sweets; for sweets occasionally tend to bring on those spasmodic conditions, IF the system is the least bit acid, though these are not as bad if the system is alkalin.

28. Do these, consistently, persistently, and we will relieve the conditions; and it will be a rarity for the spasmodic conditions to occur, rather than the expectancy.

29. Ready for questions.

30. (Q) What outside things around home are aggravating this wheezing? (A) MORE are they the GENERAL conditions as to diet and as to the atmospheric pressures, as we find. However, to be

978-1 Page 5

sure, irritations of any kind make the tendency for the swelling in the nose, and this immediately makes for drippings - as it were - or secretions to the throat, and produce wheezing. Keep the body - or keep the MIND, and it will keep the body! - in a constructive manner. That is, think the pleasant things, even when the outlook may be the darkest. Do not allow the little things that are hindrances make for irritating, or to hurt the feelings. For naturally the body is sensitive to feelings of others, through the overflow of those activities in the sympathetic system. But know that God IS! Know that He protects those who put their trust in Him; that what is necessary will be supplied thee if ye will keep joyous, keep happy, keep IN that way of CONSTRUCTIVE forces throughout!

31. (Q) Why do I have this pain at times in the right side of my back? (A) As indicated, from those disorders from the pressure in the upper dorsal area, and the tending for irritation of the lung.

32. (Q) Should my tonsils be removed? (A) Not be necessary, if these antiseptics and these solutions are used as we have indicated; for we find they will become normal. The tonsils are as scavengers for the blood supply. KEEP them, if possible.

33. (Q) Should I eat eggs in any form? (A) Eggs may be taken if only the yolks are used; or eggs coddled - this would be the preferable manner of preparation.

34. (Q) Please outline a specific diet. (A) As indicated, hold to those things that are alkalin in their reaction. Not too much of sweets, not too much of starches; but rather those things that are well-balanced and those special foods as indicated should be a portion of the diet from day to day. This is better than just saying do this or do that. Keep a well-balance; knowing that the alkalin reacting foods are PREFERABLE for the body; for they prevent acidity. And acidity is irritating to the blood flow, hence irritating to those tendencies existent in the areas as outlined.

35. (Q) Will you suggest a doctor who could give me these adjustments? (A) As we find, there are those that may be found about the body's home that are in line with such treatments.

36. (Q) How can I find a way financially to follow these treatments? (A) These may be arranged very easily with anyone in sympathy with helpfulness to the body. Pay it just as suits

978-1 Page 6

the convenience of the body. The preparation of those solutions indicated would cost very little. The treatments or adjustments would be taken two weeks at a time only, which would not make it too expensive. But BE consistent and persistent, and we will find the way will be provided.

37. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (8/24/35 GD's notes: See letters [which were enclosed] to DRUGGIST with directions for preparing the inhalant and the spray solution. If the alcohol could be obtained, you might buy these ingredients separately and add the drops yourself, as indicated; it would probably be less expensive. See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to Osteopath or Chiropractor. Mrs. [264] can no doubt recommend one near you. See Alkalin-Reacting Diet List [which was enclosed], of which your principal diet should consist - with exception of other foods mentioned in reading. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Pure Beef Juice. Please let us hear from you when you get started on your treatments, and know how you are progressing. GD.)
