Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [982].

2. Now, as we find, there are rather those conditions existent in the physical functioning of which the body should take cognizance and make corrections in the present; also there will be those conditions established that may become such constitutional disturbances as to later cause a great deal more trouble than is indicated in the present.

3. These, as we find, have to do with the manner of eliminations in the system, and the causes for such disturbances in the present.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them in the present with this body, [982] we are speaking of.

5. In the BLOOD SUPPLY we find there is the indication of this deflection from normal eliminations throughout the system. Not only are there the tendencies for irregularity of eliminations through the alimentary canal and a tendency towards constipation, but there are tendencies for properties that should be carried off through the alimentary canal or through the kidneys to be carried in or through the respiratory system. For there is a thinning of the walls of the intestines themselves, in the jejunum, ESPECIALLY in the area just below the lacteal ducts or in the right side. Not as low down as the caecum or appendicial area, not as high as the liver, but in between. And this makes for those tendencies for the forming at times of gas through the creating of too great a quantity of acidity in the low intestinal system. Thus this deflects or causes the circulatory forces to be increased there, making for that tendency for portions of the body to pick up those disorders that make for the blemishes that occur at times on various portions of the body, those tender spots on various portions, the inclinations for the FULLNESS to occur in the area just across the diaphragm.

6. The irregularity of the kidneys also is indicated by the disturbances through the circulation in the hepatic area, or

982-1 Page 2

the lower hepatic circulation.

7. There being a lesion in the 9th, 10th and 12th dorsal, it makes for the nervous reaction that occurs with such disturbing factors. These are the areas of the greater disturbance, though naturally there are these reflex conditions in the dorsal (upper dorsal) and the cervical, or the gastric plexus and the vagus centers, that make for the dizziness that occurs in the body at times with the quick movement of the body, or the feeling as of being turned around at times; the stooping over or the arising too suddenly or any sudden change will make for a pain in the back portion of the head, and then the dizzy spells occur from a pressure to the top of the head. This is a deflection in the circulation, and it eventually must cause (though only a little is shown in the present) an impoverishment in the blood supply as to the proper amount or balancing of hormones within same, that will disturb the metabolism of the body and make for accumulations of poisons that will find lodgement in some portion of the body unless eliminated.

8. As to the NERVE FORCES, the pressures indicated in the area about the lower dorsals make for a sympathetic reaction to much of the circulatory forces, as well as the irritation of a rash that occurs at times; as white spots on the skin, or blotches; those tendencies for the filling of the pores of the skin in exposed portions, as on face and neck and hands at times, even on arms and at times on the back is this shown - just above the waistline.

9. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, as indicated, the disturbance here we find more a sympathetic nature than organic in the present. However, irritations arise at times from the disturbed circulation through the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, the assimilating forces, the activities through the lacteal forces, the excretory functions as related to the lower hepatic circulation or the kidneys; the inflammation that naturally may arise from disturbed circulations through the pelvic organs. Thus the whole of the body itself is affected at times, in the sympathetic or the vegetative forces of the nerve system and the imaginative forces of the body. So, there are the tendencies for the body to become irritable, easily depressed, and those things from the exterior have an overpowering reaction upon the body. This is purely from a sympathetic condition existing with the organs and the repressions shown in the lower dorsal area.

10. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions, as we find:

982-1 Page 3

11. First we would have about two weeks of deep osteopathic manipulation, three times a week, with special attention for adjustments in the 10th, 11th and 12th dorsal area; correlating or coordinating the upper dorsal and cervical, to be sure, with the rest of the system so that drainages are set up through the alimentary canal as related to the respiratory system and the activity of the liver and the organs of digestion.

12. So, during the two weeks there would be six treatments; you see.

13. Then we would have a rest period by leaving them off for a week.

14. During the week of rest from the osteopathic treatments, we would take properties internally prepared in this manner: Sulphur..................1 heaping tablespoonful, Cream of Tartar..........1 heaping tablespoonful, Epsom Salts (Preferably the anhydrous, or that purified)........1 heaping tablespoonful. Stir and dissolve this mixture in 6 ounces of WARM water.

15. Take a tablespoonful of this solution before the morning meal, stirred into a glass of water - to which there would be added 5 minims Spirits of Camphor. Take the same dosage before retiring in the evening.

16. Continue in this manner for three days. Then leave off one day. Then take the properties again for three days. Leave off two days, or rest two days.

17. Then begin again with the osteopathic treatments TWICE each week, for two weeks. Rest a few days.

18. And THEN we would begin with the use of the Radio-Active Appliance that will be alternated in its application; the right wrist, left ankle; left wrist and right ankle. This would be used each day for an hour, for a period of two to three weeks. The vibrations from same are to be created in the regular order, you see; that is, by putting the appliance in ice - with the parts intact, so that the anodes are kept clean; keeping the plates in contact (when in use) with the wrist and ankle, in such a manner as to change the circulatory forces, and to equalize the circulation.

19. Keep the diet rather alkalin-reacting. Beware of white bread at any time. No FRIED foods. Do not take great quantities of potatoes or rice; unless the rice is the uncut or unpolished - that is, the brown rice, for this may be taken occasionally as a necessary element to produce the active forces in the assimilating system. One meal EACH day should consist of green vegetables raw. No large quantities

ever of sea foods. Beware of shell fish, especially; though broiled or boiled fish may be taken at regular periods.

20. Do this, and we will bring normalcy for this body of [982].

21. Ready for questions.

22. (Q) What is the cause of my dizziness? (A) The disturbance in the circulation. Or the incoordination between the eliminating systems produces an irritation to the secondary cardiac plexus that is reflex in its nature; and, as indicated, throws a pulsation to the base of the brain, allowing dizziness - as WELL as forming those conditions in the superficial circulation as indicated.

23. (Q) Should any local application be made to the places on the skin? (A) Hot and cold packs are the better, if anything is to be applied. Hot as the body can stand, and then a very cold pack; just a few minutes for each. Do these things as we have indicated, and we will bring the normal conditions for this body.

24. (Q) Is this condition what is commonly known as psoriasis? (A) No. [Question 24 submitted by GD, as GD's wrong guess as to type of skin trouble indicated. This question and answer not included in Patient's copy.]

25. We are through for the present. [GD's note: During this rdg. EC saw figure or drawing which appeared to represent, or to BE, God.] Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to Osteopath. See letter [which was enclosed] with specifications for type appliance needed, and where obtained. If everything is not clear, let us know. See Alkalin-Reacting Diet list [which was enclosed]. GD.)
